Quick Bite
My friend and I dropped in for a light meal. The tater-tot nachos were really good. The brisket and verde tacos were good. Good location and pleasant atmosphere. No complaints on our visit.
Stopped in for lunch w a friend today. Parking was a pain but well worth it for the food. Had one chicken, one beef and a barbacoa. The food was exceptional. Was crowded but i highly, highly recommend. Will be back.
Colorful, late night, breakfast, tacos. Not particularly tex-mex traditional, but simple, clean, and in a great looking space. Adjacent to a few bars and rock clubs, so plenty of late night people watching and shennanigans.
Great tacos and super quick service. Cheap tacos, too! My go to is just your regular, run of the mill chicken fajita but everything I've ever had is good! Breakfast tacos are superb, too!
Pretty good tacos and pretty fast service. The decor is a bit dive-y but in a kitschy way that you learn to appreciate. The service is exceptional and the staff is quite friendly. The prices are reasonable. Whenever I'm in town and craving tacos this is one of my go-to destinations.
Oh man, perfect whole in the wall tex-mex! Not expensive at all, great food, comes out quick and the service is very good! Plus the decor gives you quite a bit to look at while you wait for your food to come out. Not just a mandatory go to restaurant in Midtown, but for all of Houston too.

OMGo-go. Deliciousness. nuff said.
Excellent tacos and tamales! The fish tacos were really delicious. Really authentic and super cheap. Good atmosphere.
Good tacos!. Very good tacos! There is a salsa bar with several salsas to choose from. The green salsas were good but the red salsas weren't quite my thing. I want to go back some time to try the breakfast tacos. I wish this place was open 24hours or opened really early so I can grab food on the way to work.
Truly good tacos. I went there for the first time on a Wednesday night, and I loved it. It was a very casual atmosphere and the tacos were delicious. There is no gimmick, it's just good food.
So much better than Torchys!
I Agree. Seriously Overrated. Mediocre taco. Greasy. Charged more than menu said. Manager just said "that's what they cost."
Then said it was 50 cents extra for taco for lettuce and cheese for each taco and why price was not right.
A tiny pinch of lettuce and smaller pinch of cheese.
Really don't waste the time and expense to park.
O HEAVENS!. We were staying in Houston for the day and this just seemed to be a good place.
I couldn't have been more correct.
Look to spend about 10 bucks for taco plate, chips, and a tea. Guac is to die for.
Just bight the bullet and try the beef and pork.
The chicken was nothing special, honestly.
But I really think the pork just put it to shame.
Just Go. You wont regret it. I promise.
Dont miss it. Tacos are small. Because they are tacos not burritos! I tried everthing. Pollo and Pork were my favorite. Fish was decent but ive had better. Food is great!.
Doesn't get much better than this for late nite grub in Midtown Houston
Like it in the morning. The breakfast tacos are good size and value. I also like the fact that you can see them being made so no wondering if the kitchen is clean. They also have a little salsa bar that you can load up on. I seem to end up there in the morning after a late night. Grab three dollars and go check them out, can't miss the big head on the outside wall.
Easiest dinner decision you'll ever make. Even though my favorite taco joint in Portland Oregon has fusion tacos with olives and nuts, Tacos A Go-Go still has them beat on flavor (sorry guys). Corn picadillo tacos are a no-brainer (get three - they're true to original Mexican size tacos). Grab some napkins and chow down under the fearsome gaze of the Mexican masked wrestler paintings.
Funky & Fun!. This little taco shack is nothing fancy, but the food more than makes up for that. The menu is a chalk board with the days fare on it. If you are looking for simple tasty tacos and a cold beer, then this is the place! No frills, but well worth you giving it a closer look!
This place is awesome! I love the atmosphere, similar to an Austin feel. Although the tacos are kind of small, they are the best in Houston, taste fantastic and you can always just get more. The nachos here are amazing, I'd say second best in Houston so far.. I'd absolutely recommend trying this place if you haven't yet.
Love it. Awesome breakfast tacos, great salsa, and i can't wait to try the fish tacos!!
Good, cheap food. Friendly service, and the decor is pretty cool.
Good food, and inexspensive. Nothing over the top.
this is a great neighborhood joint for some Mexican tacos (not much else on the menu). the tacos are cheap and taste great. ambiance those wrestler masks reminded me of Nacho Libre so I had to take a picture. queso and chips the queso was pretty disappointing, it tasted like melted velveeta. they didn't really add much to it. the chips were ok. al pastor taco this al pastor taco blew my mind. it was delicious and the meat was succulent. the corn tortillas were wonderful too. sausage egg and cheese taco sausage, egg and cheese breakfast taco was pretty good too. chorizo and egg taco i really liked this breakfast taco: chorizo and egg. the chorizo is a spicy ground pork mixture. the seasoning was wonderful and enhanced by the corn soft taco. Really great spot with authentic food. Their breakfast tacos are pretty big so don’t worry about the plate coming with two. I had a brisket & egg taco and it may be one of, if not the best, tacos I’ve had in Houston. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Can’t wait to go back to try lunch/dinner.
The food is really good. At first I was put off by the price of $5 per taco but it’s worth every penny. I ordered a shrimp and a brisket taco along with an order of guacamole. The total was about $20.
There’s parking in the garage the first 15 mins are free then under an hour is $4.
I love this spot downtown... It has a great downtown feel to it.. you can't go wrong with any taco u pick . . They have vegan options as well.. I'm not vegan but I did try them, and they were awesome.. you can order online and pick up, or walk in and order, either way the service is fast and fresh! Check them out u won't be disappointed
I literally was gobbling this food down, it was so good I was wobbling out of the restaurant. The soda was very delicious and quenched my thirst. The sauce was delicious and had different ranges of spice. The grilled chicken and beef is exquisite and may be the best tacos I've had so far. They will make you clear your system but it's totally worth it. Can't wait to eat here again :).
That jalapeño/mango margarita was delicious. The food was tasty, and they did not skimp on the meat in my lamb tacos.
Everyone was very nice and friendly.
Tacos are great 3.49 for breakfast taco might seem a bit high but is really like 2 tacos in 1 needs a little more salt but that may just be me. I was going to get 2 dozen tamales but at $ 30 a doz is a little too much for me, please keep in mind they are in midtown everything is little higher in this area. Service was great , quick very clean.
Good tacos, the cheapest tacos are $3 each, rising to like $5-6 for the most expensive. They taste pretty good, though I've tasted better tacos for less. There's an unpleasant smell when you walk in, sorta like a light pee smell (no idea where it's coming from). The service is fast.
Great place the service was fast and the tacos were even better. I honestly just Googled places to eat while I was in the area and this place came up first. The atmosphere was that old rancho like, western style, with nice art work. I would definitely eat here again.
This place ROCKS!! I have been for breakfast and lunch. Both experiences were absolutely amazing. They have a hot sauce bar that really makes the place the bomb for me. I like to try different hot sauces. The only downside to this place is parking. It's located in an awesome spot in Houston. Therefore parking isn't easy, but worth it. If you haven't been, you are missing out.
Vibe- Nice size restaurant in Midtown that sells tacos, quesadillas, nachos and more! There’s only inside seating available but there’s plenty. They have many vegan options on their menu which is always a huge plus for me :)
Customer service- Amazing! The lady that took my order was super sweet and helpful. She even came around checking on customers to see how their food and experience were.
Food/drinks- I got chips + guacamole, a tater tot w/o sour cream and queso taco, and a pastor falso taco w/o queso on a corn tortilla (vegan taco options!!)
Parking- The parking can be kind of difficult, but if you’re lucky you can find a spot on the street near the restaurant.
This is an amazing lunch spot. Almost seems like a hidden gem. The portions are a good size and the food is delicious.
The service was very accommodating and helpful.
Atmosphere was very bright and open. Did not feel crowded at all.
Great spot I found by accident while riding my bike downtown. Cool cinema noir decor, great vibe, cool staff, diverse hip clientele (seems to be popular w Rice students). Taco were prepared w free ingredients & love and care. I recommend & will be back.
Funky and colorful decoration.
The server was friendly. There was no wait when we arrive on Saturday night 8pm. My burritos was good and daughter & husband both took good quesadillas. Actually we chose this place quickly after we were disappointed by Winnies bar & grill across the street who made us wait 1h 15 mins for nothing (do not go there). But I recommend coming here for a quick good mexican fast food.
OMG the tacos did not disappoint. They were amazing, the salsa was amazing. The customer service was amazing. When i visit Houston that is the first place to eat
The food was 🔥🔥🔥. I love tacos and these did not disappoint. They have tons of options including vegan and vegetarian. Definitely check this little place out if you're in town.
Super delicious! Ordered the Pollo Guisado, Pastor street taco, and the nachos a gogo tots edition! Also has chips and salsa and queso blanco! Everything was literally fresh off the grill. Including fresh hot tortilla chips and you know how amazing those are! If you're in Houston you have to check this place out!
