I’ve been going to this location for years and years. The staff here are great. Greeting you as you walk in the door and getting your food out to the table in lighting speed. Yummy food to choose from. I like the nachos!
Haven't been in a while... still jumping and always crowded, but a fun atmosphere. Drinks are great... Zydeco Fridays are the bomb! Will definitely visit again soon.
Houston staple that’s been around. Good casual dinning. Big bar and good place to watch the game. The chicken sandwich is thin on the chicken. Go for the burgers or specials. That’s where it’s at. Huge porch. Great for a nice day.
Love me some Jax Grill! I usually visit the I-10 location but have been to the Bellaire location quite a bit as well. The staff is great! The food is consistently tasty and a fun atmosphere! I love the SW Grilled Chicken! Yummmm!
I've always been a fan of Jax since I used to frequent the Bellaire location. I prefer this location because it has a bar that you can sit at and order instead of using the counter service. I really wish this place would upgrade and add more TVs. I know it's not a sports bar but even though it could be a really good one at least improve the TV situation. Could be a great place for game watch parties.
Food here is generally always good. They have a great variety and daily specials. I'm always impressed by the service and kitchen staff. Top notch for sure and runs like a well oiled machine.
Last time I came I noticed they changed their menus and just laminated printouts that were poor quality. If you're going to laminate basic printer paper at least make sure the copy is readable and doesn't look like a poor copy. See one of the attached pics.

Small Space.
Besides the short Hispanic guy about 160 pounds between the age of 40 and 50 years old not very polite who clean tables.
Small group gathered and everyone enjoyed their food; kid’s meal burger, gumbo, Santa Fe chicken and southwest salad. My salad was good but chicken was more on the ‘diced’ size than ‘chunks’. Fried crab cakes were were a ‘harder fry’ than preferred but still tasty. The rice and vegetables were cooked very well. And the ribs were said to be very good also.
Plenty of outside covered seating with fans. Alexis (name on receipt) was kind enough to bring our food out to us and was very helpful in our decision of what to order. And it is always a ++ with a Saturday happy hour.
The consistently great food and excellent service truly set your restaurant apart.
A special commendation goes to the manager, Rosa, and her team for their outstanding efforts. Their warmth and hospitality made my visit truly enjoyable.
Always my #1 place to eat. Marinated chicken breast for me we had a great great lunch , my favorite Grilled Catfish , can't go wrong with either chicken or fish grilled . 🤙🏼👍🏼🤙🏼👍🏼

Food not seasoned. Mostly fries vs meat. No veggies. Drinks overpriced and little to no liquor in mixed drinks. Just a sweet drink. They need to call order # when music is not loud. Can't hear order # being called. Great music.
The food is delicious but they are not too good at handling a big group. Some of us were done eating while others were barely getting their food. The people who work there were not too happy. I guess we overwhelmed them. Although, someone said they had called ahead.
Fried mushrooms delicious, chicken wings were just okay. Great music friendly staff
I stopped by for a quick bite to eat, and was sweetly surprised with the original Jax burger and tots! I will definitely swing by here every time I’m in the area.
First time back since the black death, and it was fine. Very different than when we'd come to zydeco dance. The food seemed the same, but the vibe was muted; understandable. I had the burger with bacon and cheese. It and the fries were good. My wife had the pecan crusted catfish with veggies. The fish was big, but she reported the veggies were a little under for her. I would prefer that to mushy. It was overall a good stop since we were in the area.
Love coming here with the family because everyone can find something they want, lots of variety. Counter service makes ordering a quick process. This location has been pretty consistent throughout the years.
Great food, good drinks, fun atmosphere, and the music was awesome! Highly recommend.
