Awesome tacos and burritos. I like the sauces section where you can try them all. All of the sauces are very well prepare and has its own flavor. The bowl will fill you up really quick. Good packing spot in the back. Old building with some very unique design.

The tacos are reasonably priced for the large amounts of filling. The corn tortillas are classic, medium thick, fresh-made and those shelf-stable chewy ones other taquerias push off. They have really great quesadillas and with a few choices of meat additions. The Mexican Street Corn I ordered came in a cup, which was pretty fantastic...but, if they could have roasted ear-corn on the ready...this place probably would have a line down Washington Avenue. Overall, if you want classic taco truck favorites, but don't want to wait in line outside and other restaurants are too full or closing their kitchens for the night, stop on by and you'll probably make this your regular go-to taco bar!

Cabo Baja has a good selection of more traditional tacos. The Camaron (shrimp) taco is awesome. The shrimp is well big, plump, juicy and well seasoned. It’s complemented with a great house made chipotle sauce. The staff is friendly and service is fast. There always seems to be available tables. There’s a great selection of house made salsas. The chipotle is my favorite. It’s creamy, but doesn’t have too much heat. Decent parking in the back.

This place really surprised me. Better than Berry Hill! Had their Baja Taco(battered fish) and the Camarón taco(grilled shrimp) both on corn tortilla. Tortillas were hand made and delicious. Also very good in size, the shrimp taco was a little smaller but was the most tasty. Fresh and savory cabbage, avocado and pineapple. Only critique is their tortilla chips are not very good - inconsistent chips and too greasy at times. Also the deco and furniture doesn’t really go together, pretty eclectic. Big plus - the habanero salsa was on point! Perfect balance of heat and flavor. Looking forward to my next visit!

We stopped here about 3 years ago on our way through Houston l. We came back through and had to try again. It was good. The burritos were huge but mostly beans and rice. The fish taco was to die for!

The Baja tacos taste like Baja tacos, and thank you for calling them carne asada fries not fajita. Very delicious!

Really good tacos! Highly recommend the shrimp tacos. Flavors do a kind of little dance in your mouth. Cool setup, and I'm not sure if it's open seasonal, but looks like there is a rooftop patio.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews, this place has authentic California style Mexican food. As someone who grew up in California I would know. The California burrito is full of flavor and good quality meat. The salsa bar is excellent, especially their habanero salsas! Friendly service and even better food. This place puts Tex-Mex to shame.

This place is a hidden gem. The corn tortillas are legit... Hard to find in Houston. Excellent selection of sauces (creamy, spicy, tomatoey). The shrimp tacos (grilled) are so tasty and cooked to perfection. The patio is a really nice option on nice evenings. Service is excellent!

Nice quaint spot with Cali style Mexican food. The Pescado tacos are delicious, grilled fish with a light cabbage salsa and a healthy slice of avocado. I also had the carne asada burrito and though it had a little too many beans, it was still pretty good. The burrito is a meal by itself, and two tacos would have been enough to fill me up at lunch.

Have to start off by saying this food is good. Swung in for lunch as soon as it opened. Good call cause the line formed fast. The service was nice. I ordered the grilled fish taco and a taco pastor. The pastor was different. Had an interesting tangy season. Tried a few of the salsas from the bar. Also ordered a side of elotes. The elotes was the best. That alone will get me to come back.

Very authentic and great tacos. The grilled meats came out cooked well and very flavorful. Decent prices for a decent sized taco. The salsas go well together when mixed. Has a grilled cactus vegitarian option. The elote was not that good.

I'm gonna start off saying the food isn't uber cheap but you can taste the quality. I was stuck on the shrimp taco for the longest til I branched out and tried the Carne Asada Fries. Omg, sooo good!!! And the fact out comes with 2 decent scoops of guacamole, makes me happy.

Every time I come here, I recount the time I overheard someone mention how amazing it was. The burritos are stuffed, not with massive amounts of rice and beans, but with the fish or meat that you ordered. Their salsa bar has great flavors. Even their drink machine has good sodas. Random: try the fried avocado taco. Also you can get the grilled fish in a burrito. I'm always torn between the battered fish and the grilled fish.

Great tacos and burritos. Love the option of getting tacos in burrito or bowl form. Very clean. Staff friendly. Great hours to visit. Good place for date or hang with friends
