The food is absolutely amazing here and the service is always great. The sushi tastes fresh and delicious and their Crab Puffs (wontons) may be the best I've ever had. It's extremely affordable with a great modern design that feels like a high class experience. Definitely worth it.

Had the Kung Pao shrimp bento box. Not bad, just average+. I like extra peanuts with this dish and was charged $1.00 for an extra 5 peanuts. The fried rice was ok, it had bits of chicken which was a nice surprise . The server only came around once and to leave the check. Only two customers in the entire restaurant, one plus myself. Their Sushi never disappoints.
Been here many times. Last night was exceptionally great due to our server, Karen. She was very polite, prompt and on top of her game! Never had to ask for a refill. She always politely asked if we were done with a plate before removing it from the table. Best service we've had at any restaurant in a long while! Kudos Karen!

Akashi Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar is a hidden gem in Kingwood, TX. I've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is reliably great.
I especially love the sushi, which is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The rolls are always perfectly sized and packed with flavor. The sashimi is also a must-try, as it is always melt-in-your-mouth tender.
In addition to the sushi, Akashi also offers a wide variety of other Asian dishes, including Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. I've tried many of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The kung pao chicken is a particular favorite, as it is always cooked to perfection and has just the right amount of spice.
The service at Akashi is always top-notch. The servers are friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations. I've never had to wait long for my food, and it always arrives hot and fresh.

Good sushi and excellent service but I would say for the location and atmosphere it's a bit in the pricey side.
The food here is delicious and the portions are well worth the prices. Pictured, I got the General Tso Chicken with steamed rice. It was nice and crispy as well as full of flavor. 10/10 all around. I will also recommend the pan fried dumplings, they bring them out lightning fast and it is extremely fresh. All the workers here are friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Most of the food served here is better than many spots downtown and served at a better price.
There are certain variations of sushi that are not listed on google maps, one of which is the shaggy dog. The sushi here is easily my favorite, along with their amazing vegetable eggrolls!
I have ordered food from this spot many times and I have always had speedy service, professional staff, and amazing food.
Came here for dinner. All foods were delicious however the humidity was not good. It seemed like they did not turn on A/C and it was quite hot inside. Mask is not required here. Store looks nice and clean. Good service.
Love this place. People who say the food is mediocre are idiots, some of the best sushi in Houston, a cut above. The price is worth it. The waiters are cool. Only ONE gripe: the tables are always sticky, every time. Please, wipe them down with soap and water. Easy fix.
Holy cow!! BEST SUSHI PLACE IN KINGWOOD! Truly so impressed by everything. We ABSOLUTELY loved this place! The menu is 4 pages FULL of creative 1 of kind sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, appetizers, soups, dinner plates, ect. Great drink selections from beer wine and cocktails. The service was superb! We had spicy Edamame and the ahi tuna tower for appetizers, 2 different kinds of sushi rolls for dinner & some perfectly warmed great tasting Sake to drink. Everything was excellent!! Our new favorite local restaurant! We'll definitely be back again!
Great honest people! My son left his iPhone there and we couldn’t find it all night. They were kind and charged it for us so I was able to locate it this morning. They also answers the phone before business hours when I called to confirm it being there.

This place is great. The sushi is delicious! Not a big fan of the fried rice, but I didn't go for the fried rice! I drink a lot so the service could have been a TAD bit better. But keep up the good work and keep feeding me that delicious sushi!
Our go-to neighborhood sushi 🍣 restaurant! This is my favorite- Beef Tataki and I just can’t get enough of it. We have the same server every time and everything is always perfect 👍🏼

Everything I have eaten here has been very good- except the fried rice suprisingly, which looked and tasted like it had been sitting out all day or had been re-fried a few times.
For a "fusion" restaurant, the menu boasts mainly traditional Japanese and Chinese dishes. That is not a complaint, because the food tasted fairly authentic. The pieces of fish are really the main focus, because the chef was not heavy-handed in his presentation.
