Best sushi and authentic Japanese cuisine in Houston. I missed Tokyo Gardens until the CIO on Exxon Japan shared this treasure with our team years ago. Been my favorite outside of Japan ever since. No fusion. Just perfection thanks to Master Chef Today san and his crew.

My friend and I planned to stop for a quick lunch, but it ended up like a full, extra lunch lol. We enjoyed all the sushi. Very good quality. All sushi peaces were giant cut! I almost had to bite in two to finish each sushi. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their tatami room!

Small quiet spot. Came in for lunch and we sat at the bar. Fantastic food! Service was friendly and nice. I wish I had room for more food. Definitely a great place for sushi but I would love to come back and try out the other Japanese cuisine they have on the menu. Only issue about the location is the parking. Very limited parking space.

You won't be disappointed if you are looking for authentic Japanese food and atmosphere. The appetizer menu has many classic Japanese dishes such as Japanese yam with quail egg and grill whole squid. Fried oysters is the best I ever had. Nevertheless, sushi are amazing. Sushi cheif has high standard for his food so it's always the best.

Sasaki Japanese restaurant exceeded expectations with its impeccable service and delectable cuisine. Despite our late arrival in Houston, the staff accommodated us graciously. The tempura prawns were perfectly crisp, and the udon noodle in special soup was a delightful blend of flavours. A real gem, especially if you enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine.

Very small hole in the wall traditional Japanese restaurant with a small sushi bar seating area, very quaint and authentic feel. Husband had chirashi B and 9pc nigiri and enjoyed them both. I had a chicken and rice dish with egg that was delish. No kids menu but my very adventurous 7yo shared all of the dishes we had and loved it all. Very good miso and gyoza as well. Topped off with complimentary fresh pineapple at the end of the meal!

The second time I came to this place, it made me sure I will be back again. The food it good, I haven't found the food I ordered is not good. Staff is nice. Old Japanese chef made me feel comfortable eating here. One more thing, I believe this is the good sushi place because I saw a lot of Japanese people eating there, that made me know the local people prove this place. The price is reasonable. Parking is ok. Be sure the navigation is weird to bring you a wrong spot like other plaza. Double the actual location.

Sasaki is one of the best kept secrets in Houston. I work right across the street from it, but it didn't look very popular. So it actually took me 7 months before I decided to just try it out. As soon as you walk in, you immediately feel like you've walked into a sushi restaurant in Japan. Or at least that's how I imagine it to be, considering I haven't actually been to Japan yet. The feeling is more authentic than I can describe. Sometimes if it's busy, service may be a little bit slow, because they only have 1 or 2 servers are a time, but it's well worth the wait. My wife and I have ordered a wide range of foods from the menu, from sashimi, hand rolls, to ramen, to the rice bowls. None of the foods we have tried, ever disappointed. It's a relief to be able to actually taste how fresh the sushi is. Too often we go to these mainstream sushi joints that just don't do raw fish justice. Sasaki is the complete opposite. If you don't know what real raw sushi is supposed to taste like, prepare to indulge yourself and be mind blown. I now go here for lunch very often as they have great lunch menus. We will continue to be loyal customers for a long time to come. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Nice chill spot. Went for a quick lunch and ordered the sushi plate for 20$ and seaweed salad. I enjoyed my meal and it was more than filling for lunch !

An excellent, little Japanese restaurant right off Westheimer. The service is excellent and the seafood fresh. The unagi is probably the best in Houston. It's also great for a large family gathering in it's separate room.
