El Rey - Houston - Photo album

Food is quality! Decent prices and a friendly and informative staff. Everyone was nice and smiling and the food was fantastic! Get the Mexican style Giant Burrito, it kicks Chipotle in the face and it’s cheaper. The tortas are hot and flan is sweet. Simply, a lovely experience.
Clean and comfortable. Not a lot of interaction with staff, walk up order, pickup your order, although they were accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious and never lets you down. Not the norm Tex Mex tacos. I'll always go back!
Good Drive Thru and nice staff. Nothing spectacular stood out with the taste of the food here. Good portions though. Burrito was very stuffing:) Green salsa was plenty and good as well. Overall would return:)
It’s always a pleasure to go to El Rey. The food is great with a very reasonable price. The must for us is the Famous Chicken tortilla soup, the guacamole and the lemonade. You need to try that. Great service, very clean and they are open late.
At every location we've been to, the food is always delicious and fresh. One item of personal preference is that I like my grilled veggies cooked a little more than what I got this time. The people here seem like a great team and the guy that took our order and served us most was absolutely outstand
This is a fast food type restaurant with Cuban-Mexican dishes. The portions are reasonable. It is worth trying all they have on the menu, especially the rotisserie chicken that you see right when you enter. Desserts and coffee are great. Service is also good overall.
Decent meal. Pricey but worth it for the quality. I Decided to swing by for lunch last minute. I was happy to see the drive thru was open and the large menu available. I ordered the Havana plate and it was good! I wanted a large drink but They didn’t have any large cups which is what I wanted so the
Love it. Been going to El Rey on Washington for many years, but every location is amazing. They take their work very seriously. The food is delicious, and always very fresh. Outdoor seating and a drive through at most locations. You’re missing out if you’ve never tried El Rey. It’s truly amazing.
El Rey Taqueria is a Cuban Mexican Cuisine restaurant. We ordered online. We ordered Carne Asada which is served with Mexican Rice, Charro Beans, Lettuce, Pico De Gallo & Tortillas. The carne asada was juicy and perfectly done. We also ordered Three Amigos which is served as the choice of 3 Tacos wi
Great selection of tacos for anyone. Enjoyed the queso and chips. Also homemade Horchata was on point for me!!!
I generally love El Rey because they don’t miss for pretty much everything on the menu! But I will say an FYI: their shrimp is not deveined and so it’s a little gross eating the shrimp’s digestion tract.
Great place for a quick bite, if you don't want to do fast food! Self-service, but nice seats. Food is amazingly fresh and tasty. Some new flavors from the Cuban area. We've ordered a grilled chicken, tacos in all kinds of flavors (shrimp, pork, vegan, beef) and Ceviche. The Ceviche is outstanding!
Great Breakfast tacos.. we love the Egg Cuban. Just be careful. We had some egg shells in one of the tacos.
El Rey is always amazing food. It’s a fusion of Cuban and Mexican food. We had Shrimp Tempura Tacos, Grilled Fish Tacos, Fajita Torta and Chicken Tortilla Soup. The food always comes out quickly and the music is always interesting.
