Food and service was excellent even on Christmas Day! Get the crabs and the lobster, order the crabs and lobster first because you will want to eat that before you get full on everything else! Oh and walnut shrimp!

Came on date night with my husband. We ordered Sizzling Beef, Orange Beef and Beef fried rice. The food came out quickly and was flavorful! Good portions for the price. Attentive, great service! We will return with our entire family!
We are Cantonese from Austin and we have a good family dinner here. We ordered two lobsters in two flavors, one is fried lobster with ginger & scallions, the other is fried with XO sauce. Both are delicious!
We have the Chef Special Chicken too. It’s really authentic and it was executed well. The chef and high skills and great experience.
We hasn’t have the level of authentic Cantonese dishes for a while.
I have a mixed feeling at Hai Cang Harbor. Food and presentation was ok. Hai Cang Sauce was kind of salty to me. I wish they can improved the atmosphere.
This is my second time eating at Hai Càng Restaurant. From the moment I placed my order until the food was set on the table, it took less than 15 minutes. OMG, they have hired awesome chefs cook, and friendly staff make you feel very comfortable and enjoy the meal. To be honest with you, a few people gossiped about Hai Càng Restaurant, which made me hesitant to come, but the restaurant is not what I heard. You don't know until you try and see it with your own eyes.
Best food in town. We always come here in big group and most of the time had great experience with the food and friendly service even though they are busy.
Their food is tasty, seasoned well and fast!

Great food, great service. Had salt and pepper soft shelled crab, the crispy duck, steamed lobster, Hong Kong Style Lobster, salt and pepper shrimp, shrimp fried rice, and shrimp noodles, the most tasty were the soft shelled crabs and the Hong Kong Style Lobster. Definitely worth the trip!
From the exterior, the restaurant looked like it would be very small but it was not. They utilized the place very well, with many tables. Very quick service from the moment we walked in until we left. The food was delicious!! It brought back a lot of childhood memories. We ordered ginger scallion lobster, snow peas, and crab over rice. The crab over rice was my favorite. The rice on the bottom of the crab was fried rice. The restaurant has a huge menu but most of the customers ordered lobster and crab from what I observed. I highly recommend people to give this place a try. I hope to visit this establishment again in the future.
The last few times we been here for dinner the food is great and consistent. In the past a few years ago we went for my wife baby shower and everyone was disappointed. Good places to take the family since they have a wide variety food for everyone.
Wow so amazing! I was recommended this restaurant by a coworker and she didn’t disappoint. The whole restaurant works as one unit, it feel like everyone was our server. So many options that were all equally delicious. If you do go you have to eat family style, your food will come out at different (10-20min) times. It’s worked for us but just a heads up.

We came here for lunch with my coworkers. I guess they are still renovating the front outside part of the restaurant. Looks like there is a lot of seating inside. The service was fantastic, I am pretty sure it had a lot to do with the fact that one of my coworker was Vietnamese and he was speaking to them and knew what to order. We got the lobster with tamarind (awesome flavor), fried tofu! (I personally have never successfully ordered tofu anywhere, these were absolutely delicious!), Spinach, shrimp with garlic (best one I have had ever) and a few other stuff. The tanks with the fish and crustaceans they had were super clean unlike some other Chinatown restaurants I know. I will definitely be a repeat customer here! And bring more people !
So I came here for dinner the same day!! With my family since I liked it so much. Got the lobster tamarind again, this time the wife mentioned that the meat was less than what we usually get in other Chinese restaurant but good flavor. We got the broccoli dish which was good and the shrimp fried rice which had plenty of shrimp in it. Service was wonderful, they gave us a nice warm tapoica dessert to try. This place is going on my bookmarks for sure.
Great restaurant. I have been going here to this restaurant for at least ten years now. As mentioned in other reviews, the service is top notch and the staff will recognize you if you are a regular to this place or any other quality asian restaurants in the area. The reason is that this place hires only experienced wait staff that will entertain and take care of you.
Now the food is excellently done, maybe the portions are a bit smaller to American palates. Just order more.
The fresh seafood availability is posted by the inside entrance. It is pricy. Now demand may be high so be prepared to choose alternatives.
I wanted tilapia but had to settle for a fish named gobi. Will not recommend that.
In summary, a must go if you want to jave a pleasurable dining experience.
Let me tell you. Everybody expects Asian service to be wack. THIS IS THE EXCEPTION. THE SERVICE IS GREAT HERE. The food comes out super fast, water is never empty, and they even replace your plates when needed. It’s also BYOB so bring ya self a bottle, order a lobster, and enjoy a great dinner
Great place. Food comes out very fast. Service is good. Fresh seafood - you can see the giant crabs in the tanks! We got salt & pepper squid, shaking beef, snow pea shoots (leaves of snow peas sauteed with garlic),and crispy duck. No booze served here! But it is BYOB (maybe not officially, but you'll probably be fine. Wink wink.)
Perhaps one of the better Asian restaurant for great quality seafood dishes. I like coming here for their stir fried lobsters and fresh streamed spot prawns. Both very tasty and juicy. They also have great lunch specials at maybe $6.95 a plate. Not bad at all. And top that off, during lunch time it’s buy 3 lunch plates, receive 1 free! I don’t know how long they’ll be running this special so go get you some! I’ll probably be back very soon! Craving those damn lobsters again!
Delicious Spicy Crab and Snow Pea Shoots!! This is a little further down from the main China Tow area and located in a strip mall. It was a great find. Seafood was fresh and you can see the water tanks and all the various kinds of seafood available. This is our 2nd time back and it’s just as yummy as the first!! Great service and no wait time. Highly recommended.
Great lunch specials! The highest price was like $7.5. If you buy 3 you get 1 free! The portions were a good size for the price. We definitely had leftovers. The food came out fast and hot. The service was great, the lady even came around with a bucket of ice to put more ice in our cups because the ice had melted.
