First the good: ** The food is easy to order online. ** We got a confirmation email that told us it would be ready by 2:12pm. Nope. It was ready by 2:05pm! Go, Nara Thai! ** Remodeling has made the interior more attractive AND more functional (see pics). The wood buildout on both sides of the door keeps the restaurant warmer on a cold day, such as today (46ºF). It’s now possible to eat comfortably next to the door on a chilly and blustery day. Great job Nara Thai! ** The food is tasty and reasonably priced. ** Staff is friendly and helpful. Now, the not so good: ** I’m accustomed to the bathrooms being available for patrons only. Today, they were available to no one. (See pics)😳🥴 ** This Nara Thai location is located across the street from the bus station. Nothing has ever happened; however, I’m not always comfortable with the parking lot. There are sometimes homeless people in the area having conversations with themselves. Again, in over a decade of coming to this location, there’s never been an incident that I’ve been a part of.

Tucked away in the most interesting gas station and across from the famous Greyhound bus station lies this gem. The food is always on point. My favorite is the Thai Cashew Nut and the Curry Puffs.

Food is legit, I have tried different dishes and no disappointment so far. Staff is friendly and the place is clean with an open kitchen in case you want to take a peek how the preparation goes. Must try: 1. Papaya salad 2. Pad Thai 3. Pineapple fried rice 4. Pangnan Curry This place is a hidden gem located on the outskirts of downtown. The area have some sketchy characters walking around. But nothing to worry about. Value plus quality food this is my 1# Thai join Houston.

Though the outside was a bit unusual and shady, the food was not bad. I got tofu pad thai, and it was pretty good!

Ordered the Tom Kha soup and crab angels to go and enjoyed every bite!! Passing by, you wouldn’t think to look twice but this is a must try if you are in the mood for Thai food. The flavor is unbeatable! Absolutely in love with the crab angels! Definitely will be coming back again!

Good food. Prices are resonable. If you want spicy food make sure you let them know as food comes plain. The chicken tasted weird and hard. I am very particular abojt my meat

I found this restaurant restaurant on Uber eats and decided to try it out. I ordered the Garb Lai and it did not disappoint! Will be ordering from them again. I usually order using Uber eats and then pick up my order to avoid delivery fees. This spot is in a very shady part of Houston, behind the Greyhound station. It’s full of panhandlers and such. If I would’ve known I was picking up from there, I wouldn’t have ordered from them. But I’m glad I did.

This is my curry place. I hate it took me this long to find my (Brown)Gangmasmum Curry. Really is the best place to go. Heads down. Friendly staff and great cooks. Just don't hang out in the parking lot. Not the businesses fault. At all.

Green Curry, I like the way Nit Noi did it back in the day; thick, sweet and spicy, pineapple. Nara Thai green curry is a little soupy, too many green beans, no pineapple, not spicy on medium spice, Chicken was a little overcooked. Not bad, I did eat it all. But it lacks that addictive taste. Fish Cakes - were okay, kinda tasteless. Ive definitely had worse. Crab Angels - were absolutely fantastic. You have to order these with your entree. Chicken Satay. - also good, a little overcooked. The peanut sauce is amazing. Its a party in itself. To chef: maybe kick up the flavor and not cook chicken so long.

Five stars for food served. Unfortunately, it's in a grimy part of downtown. I usually get pineapple fried rice, red curry ( comes with white rice, & Crab Angel won tons. Whenever Im near, I stop here. Enjoy.

There is the infamous McDonald's and Greyhound Bus Station in Downtown Houston, known for the homeless people that populate both areas. Not far from it, however, is Nara Thai. It is located next door to a gas station in that same block, but one must realize, this is Houston, good food can happen anywhere, and this definitely was the case. They also make it hot if you ask for it, and it is a joy to sweat from. No need to sit in, just grab and go.

Cant really complain, but plate of pad Thai for $10.00 is a steal. The chick was a little tough, but overall very pleased
