Truly the best bagel and town and I can honestly say I have tried most of them. The everything bagel had toppings on the top and bottom of the bagel. There was not a large amount of salt, either. The lox spread had pieces of fish that you knew was lox. The bagel was toasted perfectly. Bagel was less than $3. Service was very friendly. Lots of seating. This will be my go to bagel shop! See you tomorrow.
All I can say is YUM!!! This place has great bagels. We live in west Houston, about a 15 minute drive, but it is 1,000% worth the drive! The bagel sandwiches are delicious and the coffee menu is great!
The bagels, cream cheese, and coffee at Golden are delicious and fresh. They have turned an eyesore of a building into a lovely space. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and it feels like an intimate neighborhood cafe. Such a wonderful addition to the Heights!
Excellent bagel today. I highly recommend the onion bagel here. So cool to have a bagel place right here in the Heights!
Hubby stopped by today for the first time. Brought home 1/2 dz. We tried the sesame seed and plain. Also a regular cream cheese. All was delicious. We are so happy to have fresh bagels in our neighborhood. Mazel Tov on opening in The Heights!

Must try! The egg (sunny side up) sandwich on garlic and onion bagel is a must try! Customer service is exceptional! Came one day and the following brought my grandma to try it. Bottomless drip coffee is s plus!
Incredible food made by people who know how to do it right. Great spot for a quick stop in or staying for a while. Definitely our new favorite breakfast spot.
This place is going to be my go-to post night shift joint and overall morning post-bike ride pop in! Tasty bagels with good chew and crunch. Very creamy schmear. Excellent selections. Plenty of seating with a neat bar top counter area. Just what Houston needed!
Ok ok I just love the cold brew. It rules. been frequenting Golden for a week. plain bagel with butter was really really satisfying. The classic lox was executed well. But the crown jewel of the three menu items I have tried was for sure the cheese danish. The center was like creme brulee the crust flaky sweet but seriously buttery. I broke up with my other coffee place. You know, the one on every corner. If I had it my way we would replace them all with golden bagels. Loved it. And I'm not just saying that because I'm hooked on coffee.
The best cream cheese I have tasted in town, so creamy, soft and fresh. The location is super convenient, by the bike trail, and was just a perfect destination for my family to walk to on a Sunday morning. Plenty of seating, lots of coffee choices and tasty bagel combinations. Will be back for sure.
Love the bagels! The area of course is great. Bagels may not be as popular in Houston as on the East Coast, but it is definitely nice to have a great bagel shop here in Htown :D.
Great customer service - the staff are friendly and helpful with answering questions and making suggestions. I had a breakfast sandwich on a Biali (baked instead of boiled for a more bread-like texture - recommended for sandwiches). I added the avocado spread, bacon and tomato. My egg was perfectly over easy with a slightly runny yoke. The avocado and tomato made for a messier sandwich, but it was still delicious. My lavender latte was a perfect addition to breakfast. Definitely a place I will visit again.
neighborhood coffee and bagel shop. I tried before on weekends to come here could never park. I came on Monday ample parking. The service is excellent the coffee and bagels good. There is almond milk for vegans.!orders’ at the counter and seat yourself.
Chill heights breakfast spot with bagels and coffee, just like the name. Staff was very friendly and the establishment was trendy and light with great community vibe. The parking is behind the restaurant and you have a rear and front entrance. If you like bagels or coffee, check this place out.
Don’t even get me started on this place dude !!!!! Had a latte and bagel and it was $8 and some change. Super affordable and delicious. Made sure to tip well because the staff is SUPERB! Friendly and they work so quickly. They have lots of seating, provide face masks, hand sanitizer! Outdoor seating was nice as well. Just great place overall. I’m sold, thank youuuu Golden for the greatest bagel experience I’ve ever had
This is becoming our favorite place to come for breakfast on the weekend. The Salmon bagel is excellent. Service is efficient and welcoming. It gets crowded sometimes but it’s because they’re really good!
Don't let the line deter you from coming! The line moves quickly and the food is worth the wait. We got the egg bagel sandwich which was really good and they have a great variety of bagels and spreads to choose from. I'm also a huge fan of any place that has Katz's Cafe De Olla cold brew on tap! Overall this is a great place for breakfast in the Heights and we will be back soon.
Great bagel shop that sells individuals as well as sandwich’s and such. Food is great but coffee selection is ok - nothing to die for there. I would highly recommend the bagels and spreads as well.
Plenty of seating inside and outside on patio. Parking is tricky given location.
I liked it! Coffee tasted good black, which is how I judge it at first taste, and bagel was yummy. I had a cinnamon bagel with strawberry schmear or cream cheese whatever you want to call it... and iced coffee. Stopped off the bike trail and they have a nice covid setup. While everyone waited in line I just stood there and did my order online real simple. No contact. No problems.

Best bagel I have had in a while! Of course it was well presented and I had a egg sandwich on the bagel, with cheese and bacon. Very tasty! Also really enjoyed the vanilla latte ( not overly sweet). Also reading reviews that complain about parking shouldn’t stray you away from coming here with time. The customer service is exceptional and hard to find that nowadays. Really nice clean space! Will be returning soon to try the lunch options!
Made my first visit to Golden and could not have been happier. Golden fills a much appreciated void in the breakfast/lunch space of the Heights restaurant world. Great house-smoked salmon and delicious bagels in a casual atmosphere - I couldn't ask for more. They are still settling in to their popularity but I expect even better things as they mature. Go soon!
The bagels here are amazing, I love that there’s plenty combinations of flavors to choose from savory to sweet. They have a really good nitro Katz coffee on draft which is a plus. The only downside like all the places in the heights is the limited parking and on the weekends it can get pretty busy.
The fried egg bagel sandwich was not that good it needed some sort of sauce or something because it was a little dry. The the bagel with strawberry shmear was so good. The coffee was good too.
Solid new choice for breakfast in the Heights. Bagels were tasty, eggs and bacon were good, and the fruit cup was fresh. Top that off with Katz' coffee and makes a nice morning. Seems like they have also worked through some of the kinks at opening as we didn't have any issues with timing or service.
Yum and fun.
Portions seemed a little sheisty but what they lacked in size they made up for in flavor.
Everyone here is super polite, the menu is creative and fun and offers a little bit of something for everyone.
Ambiance is great. On a pretty day even right now there's a decent little seating outside on the sidewalk.
I highly recommend. Great folks and great place. Go see him... They'll do you right. I'm even told that they have a cosmic vending machine that grants wishes, low interest rates and an increase on intelligence quotient and sex appeal if the price is right?! Who knew 🤷🏼♂️
