I like to go to restaurants a few times before leaving a review. I've been here three different times and the quality of the food is excellent and consistent. The chicken is very flavorful and amazing. The lomo saltado is definitely the best one in Houston without a doubt. All the flavors fit in perfectly and the portion is just right. I brought my parents here the last time and they both agreed that the food is pretty authentic. Everything on the menu is delicious and prices are fair. This alone makes it a place that you must visit. But what really sets Las Brasas apart from the other peruvian restaurants is its service. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. Always willing to offer honest opinions on the food and very helpful. This is a nice change from other spots which I sometimes find slow, unresponsive, and sometimes a little rude. Big fan of this place and I'm telling everyone I know about it. 5 Star place for sure!

One of the best char grilled chickens I've had with sides full of flavor and variety to boot. A drive away from my area but a drive well worth it, you have to try it if you love food that feels like it was made right at home. Definitely will return.

Definitely the most flavorful chicken I have had here in the city (and I think Houston food is subpar overall). The chicken was seasoned perfectly and charcoal grilled chicken is just the best, but the seasoning and how it marinates from the skin and into the flesh is why I loved it. The staff was great and service was fast. The only thing that was not good was the fries and mixed vegetables which tasted like a Walmart brand item. The white rice and beans were great and so was the sweet tea! The tables and chairs were not cleaned after customers left which resorted to me wiping both down before I could eat, but I will be back!

“It’s been a while since I’ve had some good ceviche.” Well, I can’t say that anymore! I know this place is known for their charcoal chicken, but I ordered ceviche, and it was DELICIOUS! Not only was it flavorful, but the portion was large enough that I wasn’t hungry afterwards. Also, the fish was thick, but juicy and easy to eat. The owner was very welcoming, as was the staff. I’m not in the area that often, but when I am, I’ll definitely be back!

It was awesome. The food was delicious the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back. There was a bit a wait as we got there right at opening and there was a line of people but the mgr explained the wait and offered everyone a free drink for the inconvenience. It was worth the wait. The chicken is amazing. Not the average char grilled chicken it has an amazing blend of seasoning and they offer a variety of sides...

A foodie friend recommended this place to me and it did not disappoint, the Peruvian style rotisserie chicken, the sauces, yuca frita, fried plantains and house salad (highly recommended) were excellent ... will be going back soon to try their lomo saltado and some other signature Peruvian dishes

This is our fourth time here in less than a month and a half... Service is excellent and the food, to die for! Lomo Saltado is still my favorite. Tallarín Saltado is also delicious. My sister ate Anticucho (heart) and loved it. Service is awesome. María is the best! Come one, come all!!! Exquisita comida peruana.

As I mentioned in a previous review, if we tried them again I'd update my review. When a place is known for a specific dish you should definitely order it because omg the chicken here is absolutely delicious. Las Brasas actually sent basically a voucher and wow that was so appreciated so we immediately tried them again. We ordered the white meat chicken, which was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The portion was very large imo and was more than enough food for the two of us. The plantains were so much better than before and the French fries were good too. I would totally recommend giving this place a try!

If you’re looking for delicious Peruvian cuisine in Houston, look no further than Las Brasas charcoal chicken! 🍴🍗🔥 Besides their delicious charcoal grill chicken, that is marinated and specially grilled and smoked, their menu features traditional dishes like lomo saltado 🥩 ceviche 🐠 bistec a la pobre ( ribeye steak) that will transport your taste buds straight to Peru. Their food is also 100% Halal! The lomo saltado was so flavorful with noodles and also without. The ceviche 'shot' was so flavorful and gave us an experience like never before! We enjoyed the hospitality and the delicious food along with sides, such as salad, plantains, yucca and fried rice with their homemade salsas that adds that extra kick to the chicken flavor

Some of the best tasting grilled chicken I've had in all of houston. Even the fried rice tasted fresh. I feel like I had it made outdoors on the grill, but with wonderful flavors. Forget the other fast food chicken places. This is the place to be.

Really good halal joint for some charcoal bbq. The charcoal chicken flavour is quite unique and is very yummy. The chicken is flavoured nicely and is very tender which makes for a good eating experience. The green sauce is quite unique and is a good touch overall as well. Tried only the takeout option so can't comment on the restaurant experience but the food is solid. Recommend getting the fried rice as well.

Went with my family and we had a feast. We started with the appetizers (Ceviche and Anticucho) and then a full chicken family style. I've never had chicken so moist and flavorful! We highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving chicken and/or desiring to try some authentic Peruvian food.

I love the chicken's flavor but My father ordered a Ceviche it didn't have a taste, it was simple. Fries were not fresh. However, Customer service was good, the girl in the front was very helpful and friendly

I’ve been coming here for a few years now and it’s the closest thing to authentic pollo peruano you can find in Houston. I’m originally from DC so I grew up with Pollo Rico and Sardi’s and it’s one of the biggest things I miss from back home. Las Brasas is good but lately the service has been lacking I don’t know if they just aren’t getting enough business but when I went they didn’t have fries…FRIES! Like how??? Anyways they also didn’t have yuca fries either and they’re very stingy with the sauces. However despite all this the food is still amazing and every chance I can come here I will.

I simply love eating here. Their charcoal chicken is best in town...so much flavor. First halal Peruvian restaurant in Houston. For Halal/Zabiha options, make sure to confirm what's Halal in the menu before ordering. Their Inca drink imported from Peru is okay, we didn't like it that much, reminded us of medicine taste. But others love it, it's an individual decision. Food is great, awesome customer service. Cozy place to dine in!!!
