Everything was delicious and our waiter Ramón was excellent. He went over the special and answered our questions concerning add-ons. The seafood was FRESH and all of our fried food did not taste like day old grease. We arrived about an hour before they closed. Our food was as fresh that late evening as it is when they first open. Absolutely delicious! Thank you Uncle Benny!
Wonderful staff, delicious food, great prices & a fun atmosphere! The fish was melt in your mouth, the shrimp crunchy & yummy! We're only here for a week and will definitely be back before we fly home!
Loved Captian Benny's! This is a no frills seafood restaurant that is casual and pretty laid back. I think the price is decent for what you get. Service was wonderful, food was great... I just wish they had a bigger dining room. This is not a place for large groups, but can accommodate parties up to 5-6. We will definitely be back.

We love Captain Benny's. It is a wonderful surprise. The food is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT. That is one of the most hard to find traits in dining today. I have eaten there on different days at different hours and the food never fails to be fresh, flavorful, well prepared. The service is great. We have always had attentive and courteous waitstaff and we aren't regulars because we live so far away. The atmosphere is simple, relaxing, with good background music at a volume you can enjoy and still have conversations. I really enjoy this place and take my family there whenever I'm the area. Highly recommend.
In search of some good seafood, I stumbled across THIS HIDDEN GEM!! 💎🍤 And I found me some GREAT seafood!! I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Kabob Combo for $18.99, added fried oysters for $5.99 & added hushpuppies for $1.99
Now coming from a long-life of eating plates of various seafood, I usually just won't eat the cole slaw.... But this one was actually fantastic. My shrimp & my scallops & my veggies were PERFECTLY cooked!! I ordered a bowl of Seafood Gumbo for $10.50 to-go because I couldn't fit anymore in my belly! Lol.
My waitress was friendly & attentive & I enjoyed my visit very much. Cannot wait to eat here again in the coming weeks!

This place is Wonderful!! We Loved the spicy peel and eat boiled shrimp, the scallop kabobs, and the raw oysters were excellent! Great service too, nice teamwork. Even the cooks are hospitable and gracefully accept feedback. 2$ bottled import beers made it even better. We went two nights in a row when we were in town! 🦐 🦐HUGE PRAWNS💙Thank you Captain Benny's for the FRESH LOCAL SEAFOOD!
Great seafood, great service, great place!
The seafood here was fresh and very well made. We sat outside under the palapa and it was a beautiful afternoon. We got the crab fingers (crab claws) that were drop fried then tossed in a garlic butter sauce. They were delicious, I only wish they had more claws and more garlic! We then shared the fried flounder which was huge and delicately fried, not over cooked, in a light cornmeal batter. We asked for lots of fresh lemons to squeeze on the fish and comes with cocktail and tater sauce. A crispy slice of garlic bread, two hush puppies, and coleslaw come as sides.
I really enjoyed the food and the service was great! The manager Jelly was awesome!! I was there for my birthday and my sister and I asked Jelly the manager to take our pictures and she did with no problem.......I know we were doing too much but the manager Jelly still gave us great service. They even played music that we liked😊😊😊. I will come back to eat there.
This place still has good food and service. My tilapia was little overcook but everything else was good

Omg. My husband randomly found this spot otw to out airbnb. The food was amazing. The catfish was cooked perfectly & the service was great. I'd never had gator before but this was the perfect place to try it. Great spot.
It's always great food and service, it would have been so much better had we been able to watch the Astros game. Not exactly sure why they aren't able to show it. But hopefully by the time we go back they'll be able to.
Food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The service was AWESOME!The bartender sweet and polite in directing me to the dining area! The hospitality was GREAT! Atmosphere was absolutely WONDERFUL!
The only reason I come is basically for the gumbo. Its good, I love it. My coworkers had some shrimp and they told me it was like flavorless...no season or nothing. If you decide to eat inside, better bring a jacket. Its super cold. This place needs some touch up as far as service too but I'll come back to puck up a order to go for some gumbo still.
