Spicy Hunan Chinese Restaurant - Houston - Photo album

This is easily one of my favorite authentic Chinese restaurants here in Bellaire. I have a huge appetite for spicy Chinese food, especially the particular cuisines originating from the Southern Provinces, Sichuan and Hunan. Sichuan spice is mind-numbing, while Hunan Spice is fragrant spice. I strong
This restaurant has been here for quite some time now and it is better than I expected to be honest. Their dishes gives you a comfortable spicy kick which is the type of spiciness that doesn't make you bomb the toilet 10 times after the meal. Although their dishes are a little more towards the salty
This establishment stands as one of the longstanding businesses at Dun Huang Plaza. Their diverse menu offers a wide selection, and they are accommodating with reservations for larger groups.
All four dishes were super tasty and delicious. They were all 3-4 stars spicy level. We love them.
My family favorite place. Food is consistent, spicy enough to the point that you will enjoy the food not struggling with refilling the water. I highly recommend.
One of my favorite restaurants in China town. If you like spicy food this is good place for you. Don’t expect good customer services. And they speak little English. Make sure you be patient when you wait for your food. Over all I love the food there and I go few times a month. Worth a try !
Food is amazing, and the presentation is just as awesome, I will suggest to take a look at the menu beforehand as it is quite extensive and lastly, don't forget to get a pot or tea, really helps to tie the experience together in my opinion!
Decent stir fry food and good service. The stir fry potato, pork belly and cabbage, and eggplant with green beans were tasty although a bit too oily. Food came out fast though. I would return
We had eight ladies and had a great time in a tiny restaurant. Service is so so but food was good. The melon pork soup was particularly refreshing for such hot weather.
Delicious spiciness! After my first visit, I’ve been coming here more often. At least once every couple weeks. The spicy clams, whole fish, eggplant are amazing . It is a bit on the saltier side but I just make sure to let the waitress know to ask the chef to add less salt. And..... I’m back and bac
Bring the Heat, everything here has a pepper or jalapeño. Try The Godfather noodle, pork and peppers, beef tendon with spicy garlic sauce are all amazing. By the time we got to the gizzards and lotus roots we couldn’t feel our face and we’re rocking. It’s byob so you save some $$ on alcohol.
One of my favorite places (especially for Monday nights)! Highly recommend one of their eggplant dishes, boiled fish, eggs with shrimp. I also enjoyed their soup with lotus.
A very satisfying dinner. We finished all the food!! The bamboo was especially mouth tingling! The celery dish was a recommended dish from a customer that was there as well and I'm glad we took her up on it. The string beans were good, but paled in comparison to the other two dishes (still delicious
The pork intestines and the squid are super delicious. Full of flavor and crunchiness for the intestines and the squid was very chewy with the smoky taste. Definitely recommend! Comes with rice!
We ordered cauliflower, spicy crab and small size spicy fish head. I really like the cauliflower. So tasty. May not order crab next time. We will definitely go back to try other dishes. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I like spicy food for the taste, not the spice level, and Spicy Hunan is the definition of that! The mapo tofu is mild-medium spicy and the beef flat noodles were mild spicy or not sure if they were even spicy, but everything was sooo good! I definitely want to come eat here again! The hot tea was g
A lovely proper introduction to Hunan cuisine. As we are much more familiar with Szechuan cuisine, this was definitely an interesting experience for us. We found that the dishes we had here are much smoother and more flavoursome (combining a larger range of flavours - sweet, sour, spicy) than Szechu
Pretty good. Good food and Nice servers. Great portion, good taste, quality of beef have space for improvement, but overall not a bad place to enjoy central China taste. I will go back for sure. :)
