I love to support my local mom-and-pop businesses, this family owned and operated restaurant is not only a wonderful authentic Colombian cuisine dining experience, but it's like coming home to family!! We have four generations in my household from 15 thru 87 and we have so many favorites. You will definitely want to order the empanadas to add to your meal, but take some extras home too!!!
Best comfort food, is a piece of my beloved Colombia...
I absolutely love this place!!! I wish I lived closer to be able to come by more.
Excellent Authentic Colombian Empanadas. Done right. Done good. Mmmmm...
Had a taste of the Bandeja Paisa at Marines Empanadas Delicias Colombianas in Houston. Overall, the plate was delicious, but the beans were a bit on the cold side. Service was okay, though I believe it could be enhanced with a friendlier waiter. Looking forward to seeing improvements!

Popped into Marine’s Empanadas Delicias for a taste of Colombia, and it was a solid experience. We started with their beef empanadas. Surprisingly large and satisfying, a good start to the meal.
The real heavyweight was the Bandeja Paisa: a hearty platter with a line-up that included some well-seasoned grilled beef, pork belly, and a collection of sides that made for a filling meal. The rice and beans, though, were a bit on the bland side – could've used a flavor boost. The Chuleta Empanizada, or breaded pork chop, was just okay – nothing to write home about but did the job.
The staff here deserves a shoutout for being quick and friendly, keeping everything running smoothly. While not every dish was a knockout, the service made up for it, leaving me with a decent 7/10 impression. Worth a visit if you’re in the mood for some Colombian eats.
Finally got to stop by after years of driving by this place and it did not disappoint. The service is amazing and the ladies are so sweet with giving recommendations. The combo is an awesome way to try a little of everything. I really liked the beef and English empanadas. They had a nice crunchy outside and were super savory & delicious with plenty of filling. Also love that they have Yerba mate on tap. It’s my favorite tea and I don’t find it available often so it was a nice surprise. Definitely coming back when I’m in the mood for empanadas!
I came to Houston on a trip and was looking for a Colombian restaurant since it had been a long time since I had tasted the flavor of my land and I loved this place, the food was delicious, my friend and I ate bandeja paisa. and liver with onions. 100% recommended
Most of the Colombian Restaurants in Houston have decent food and Marines is one of them. The food is fresh and well prepared. I ordered the Bandeja Paisa and it was amazing. I like the combination of the food on that entree and that is why I normally order the same. A friend of mine ordered the chicken and he also mentioned it was good.
Every time I visit House I come to this place, I love the empanadas and the pan de bono also the mango water.. 🤩
I came back here twice in 2 week span. Yup that's how good they are. If the delicious entrees doesn't win you, they will definitely want you coming in for these eye pleasing, juicy, crunchy/flakey out of this world empanadas. You know its good if I been to Colombia a few times and I think it's better here. Yes I'll say that again.
This place is good home style Argentinian and Colombian empanadas. I actually got a chance to meet the owner, she was a very nice lady. I tried the chicken mole empanadas. And the 2 Colombian beef empanadas. They also have fresh fruit smoothies.
Very good empanadas, the coffee is the best and the pan the bono is my favorite. Gladys is the sweetest and Kevin did a great job as our server today. We always stop to eat when we are on this side of town.
I stopped in to grab an empanada and hopefully a fruit juice to go and I'm very glad that I did. I got a beef and onion because they were out of Texas BBQ, but it was so good that I forgot all about BBQ. When I opened the box and saw how beautiful it was I regretted not having sat down to eat properly. They had some different fruit juices and things, I got a coconut smoothie and it was nice and light, frosty, and not overly sweet. They prepare everything fresh, so expect to wait a few minutes if you are grabbing something to go and did not call ahead.
In addition to an extensive empanada menu and beverages, they have a full bakery as well with lots of goodies in the case. Definitely going to come back and try out more of the menu, they have plenty of seating inside and a cute little patio outside with lots of plants and shade.

Place is a bit too small, but they have the best pandebonos in town. I don’t even think they are that good back in Colombia.
Came at lunch time, wasn’t as busy as I thought it was going to be. My boss loves this place, and orders bulk of the pan bueno. I got the hawaiiana, chicken, beef, and fig empanadas. They are WONDERFUL. Try not to eat them while driving, they are surprisingly juicy and have good sauce while being soft/flaky on the outside, I spilled hot empanada juice all over me. Worth it! My favorites were the Hawaiian and fig ones. I got full eating 2.
If you want to try the best Colombian food in Houston visit Marines Empanadas colombianas on Hillcroft. Since I moved back from Colombia I have been searching for a great Colombian restaurant, and I finally found it. The moment I entered the door I was greeted by everyone and felt very warm as if they were my family. Ask for Natalia she is from Colombia and helped me and patiently explained the menu to me. I ordered my favorite Bretaña drink that I can’t find anywhere and I had a delicious Colombian empanada and my favorite Sancocho de Gallina. I am so happy I visited Marines this is my new favorite Colombian restaurant. I will be back to try the bandeja paisa.
Thank You Marines Colombian empanadas and thank you Natalia. Amazing food and Amazing service que viva Colombia 🇨🇴.
One thing you can love about Houston is that any type of food from around the world can be found here. Last week I was craving some Colombian food and I was driving down Hillcroft I saw this wonderful sign for Marines Empanadas. When you walk into the restaurant you can be hit with some wonderful smells and you see the case filled with pastries. The wait staff was super friendly and cheerful. The menu was amazing because it had pictures of just about all the dishes. I am a visual person so it was great. I decided to get the platter which a sampling of just about all of the meats. (Since I am a meat and potatoes type of girl.) The food was flavorful and I loved to fried pork and steak.
Fast friendly service. Great selection of empanadas and other various dishes on the menu. We have tried many different kinds of empanadas here now. Always fresh and great flavor.
OMG this was my first visit and this place was amazing. I drove all the way from the south side to try this place and glad that I did. The waitress was great, food hot and fresh. The place was easy to get to but parking was slim.
