Every year before the rodeo I get Ribs. Yes I don’t eat bbq at the rodeo and stop here worth it every time. Fall off the bone , smoke flavor is great the bark it has a little kick.. homemade bbq sauce and strawberry lemonade! Must visit.
Now, we were in town for a conference and had to Uber to one of the best bbq places that I have ever tasted. Now, their brisket had so much flavor!!!! If I ever come back to Houston,I will be at Ray’s!!
First time here and I’ll definately be back! Strawberry lemonade is a hit. I had the 2 meat plate with brisket, sausage green beans and mac n cheese. Food was good quality and tasty. Sauce came in a cup which is nice. Good strong quality plastic utensils and they showed me the order when it was ready and bagged it up nicely. Portions were very good. Place is very clean too!
One of the best BBQ places in all of Houston! The best Rib Tips and Ribs and good Brisket. Need to add mac and cheese to their menu.
I was in Houston for work, and wanted some bbq. I'm so glad I stopped at Ray's. Best bbq I have had in a long time. If I am ever back in Houston you better believe I am stopping there again!!! Friendly staff and great food!!!

I like that they have GREAT customer service, the meat is always juicy regardless of what time you go and the strawberry lemonade and homemade french fries are to die for! Rib tips, sliced beef, potatoe salad, I could go on and on.....
My first time visiting. The catfish plate was delicious, customer service was superb and the atmosphere invited. I'll be back soon for the reputation worthy barbeque !
I lived in Houston for about 4 years and Since I have tried this place nothing compares!! I refuse to eat anywhere else!! The best I had ever!

I didn't take pictures of our food. However, the service and quality of the food were great. I purchased a 1/4 lb. burger with fries and a cucumber salad. I was not disappointed! The burger and fries were so fresh and authentic. The burger was real, and the potatoes were real! I plan to visit at a later date when in Houston. My sister purchased food for her and her children. Everyone enjoyed their food, with the exception of the macaroni and cheese. Everything resembled home-cooked food except the macaroni and cheese. It was mediocre and not worth the calories. However, the shrimp, catfish, burger, and BBQ chicken did not disappoint. I would recommend the drinks and food at this restaurant, with the exception of the macaroni and cheese. The employees were so so so sweet and professional. This restaurant is worth your time and money!
Wow, the food was so good. Had the ribs, brisket, peach cobbler. Brisket was so tender, ribs fall off the bone, peach cobbler icing on the cake. Would def go back there.
Loved this stop for lunch. We were here to televise the Cougars opener on Fox Sports and this was our lunch stop on set day. Food was amazing, as was the service. Very busy at lunch, but worth the wait.
The best BBQ I’ve had so far in Houston! Herb and the rest of the staff were truly a class act! The establishment was clean, food service was fast and everything was delicious! Definitely check them out. 10/10

Came in town on a Saturday, and this was the first place I came to. Considering how packed it was, the service was still great, the staff was friendly, and the food was AMAZING!! Can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Houston.
I got the brisket nachos. I was really surprised by the size of them, they are huge! They have both melted queso and shredded cheese. The toppings are guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. They were spicy. I got the bbq sauce on the side. The brisket was smoked, tender, and wonderful. The nachos, over all, were a little salty. That was my first taste impression.
The food and customer service were perfect. The presentation was on point. After noticing the fried fish from the other customers, we had to order a fish sandwich. It was perfectly fried. Although my first experience there wasn't as pleasant, they truly redeemed themselves.
The food is delicious, meat is tender and well seasoned but not salty and the music is on point! Good location and parking.

Great customer service!! The lady taking orders was so kind and helpful. We got a chopped brisket potato, brisket sandwich and a 3 meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket with mac and cheese and dirty rice for the sides. Everything was ok. Not super flavorful, but not dry either. The Mac and cheese was rather bland and milky. The dirty rice had a good flavor. The potato was loaded down. Would definitely try again.
The BEST BBQ place I have eaten at in Houston. The pork sausage snapped and had great flavor, the macaroni had some delicious cheese, and the macaroni salad was refreshingly good. The family loved the brisket. The brisket potato was fully covered in brisket, the nachos had soany good flavors going on. The kids meals had more food than they could eat. 10/10 will go back!
As soon as I got out of the car, the firewood smoke hit me right in the face and I knew I chose the right place for lunch today! It wasn't crowded like it normally is which was great. I got the two meat plate. I got brisket and chicken with steak fries and smoked mac and cheese. I also got some peach cobbler for later. The only thing hot were the steak fries. That was a bit disappointing. Other than that, my meal was quite enjoyable! Ray's Real Pit BBQ Shack for the win!
Went with a large group on Sunday and atmosphere was nice . Expected line for a weekend, moved pretty well. Thankful we were able to put our tables together to suite all of our group. Food was fresh , I had Two meats , beans and potato salad with buttered toast. Plenty of food to take home for me. First time for me , will definitely go back again.
Been visiting Ray's for years and the service still is great. From the young lady who took my order to the time to prepare it all the way to picking up order, everything was great.
Food wise, everything was fantastic. First time ordering bbq oxtails and maaaaan what took me so long to try them. This is my new go to plate now. Also, try the 1/2 pound burger as well. One of the best burgers I ever had. Grilled just right. Definitely when your in the neighborhood visit Ray's BBQ. You won't be disappointed.
Omg I just tried for my first time through Door Dash and F#$# this food is delicious. I got the 3 meat platter with brisket, jalapeno sausage, and rib. I just found my new BBQ spot in town!
