Okay foodie travelers if you're passing through Houston around Woodridge st then stop in this corner Mexican restaurant. Over 40 years of consistent recipes passed down. You can tell because the food takes a minute to come out but it's very worth the wait. The asada or fajita quesadillas in corn is fire! The pastor is better than many places hands down. The salsa is hot but it's addicting at the same time. Heard they are known for the caldo de res so next time we're pulling up. Just try it.
The loaded Mexican burrito 🌯. It has rice and beans with your choice of meat, lettuce, avocado 🥑 and queso. Very full filling. They now ask if you like to have chips and Salas, It's an extra fee. I thought it was a little odd. Most places provide it already. I've been coming to this place since 2001. Great atmosphere but the service is kinda slow. We had to call our waitress several times. As she was sitting down with a guest. Food was excellent 110%. Service was not so good.
Tried this place for the first time and it was AMAZING! My dad loved the menudo and he is picky, it was flavorful and rich. Service was good and attentive. Restaurant clean. Prices great! Love that they have a drive thru
The food is good and the service and pricing are great. I love the two main art pieces they have on display as well. I would suggest eating inside since the corner at Wheeler and Woodridge can get noisy during busy hours.
The food is very delicious we have been coming with the family to this place for about 15-20 yrs, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we also call in our orders for take out ahead of time and pick up.

I judge a food by its establishment. If it looks like a hole in the wall, the food will be on point. I was not disappointed here. So good and the servings were huge!

The food and service are great here. The prices are EXCELLENT! My friend had a grilled chicken salad, and it was huge. She loved it but could only eat half. I love the Gorditas & adding Avacodo 😍 makes them Super Fabulous. The nopalitos are a bit too spicy for me, but my other friend loved them and asked for added jalapeños! He said, "I'm putting this on my list of favorites!!!"
The lady served us was very nice and the price, food here was awesome. But the taste of the chicken could be better，too dry with the way the cook.
I can't say enough good things about this place.
The food is always amazing, they have a drivethru window!, very well priced, friendly, order is always correct even though I speak very little Spanish and most staff running the window speak very little English (usually someone is there to translate) .
The only improvements they could make are:
Get on Uber eats, favor, or some other food delivery service. (Seriously, we'd order delivery once a week at least)
Add a "little bit of everything" plate to the menu.
