The best steak taco, buffalo burger or chili in town. Been going here since high school. The food is amazing but the staff and owners are even better. Still the only place in town that doesn't give you a slip for what you ordered but instead trusts people to pay for what they ate and drank. This place is simply amazing. Everything is delicious and hey sell the best meat and shrimp too. I can't say enough positive about this place.
Pete's fine meats is a great place to get good cuts of meat and other meats you can't find elsewhere.
They also have really cheap but good chopped beef sandwiches for under $2!!
The owner is really awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the different meats and even gave me a few to try on the house!
I would recommend this place for odd meats like alligator, jackalope sausage, etc... and also a good place to stop and grab lunch.

Back today for a sandwich. Turkey and ham on wheat. This thing was stuffed. Some of the best turkey I’ve had in awhile. Tired the red skin potato salad today which was also delicious.

Folks from Pete's Fine Meats came to NRG Center to provide burgers for the volunteers for hurricane evacuees. I ate their cheeseburger with pretzel bun. Wow! It's one of the best burgers I have ever had!! I'm definitely going to recommend this restaurant to anyone who is interested!!
Cant really write much about their butcher services but their lunch counter is a real treat. No fast food service in a psper cup here. If delis originated in Texas this would be the model for them all. Homemade chili only served on the coldest days of winter are a special treat and the chopped beef sandwich is priced so that two or three will still beat most fast food places valuemeals. A fine place to stop for lunch when you in the area

The service and the food were great. I had a vegetarian burger, and shares deviled eggs, mustard potato salad, and stuffed jalapeños. All excellent.

The steak hoagie was delicious and of course couldn't leave without taking home some shrimp Diablo and an aged ribeye. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Pete's Fine Meats and Deli has an awesome selection of quality meats, both traditional and exotic. Today, my son and I picked up Bison steaks and Kangaroo steaks. The Bison was of excellent quality and was absolutely delicious. The cookies here are unlike any other I have had throughout Houston. They are definitely a must-have if you're craving something sweet. The staff here are very knowledgeable and very, very friendly. The customer service alone is reason enough to come back. I encourage anyone to visit Pete's! You will not regret it...
Stopped by to try their burger and it was delicious! I made the mistake of ordering a double meat burger and it was HUGE! I bought some seasoned burger patties to grill at home and they were phenomenal. The last place that had burgers this good was Guy's meat market, but they have closed down. The entire staff is very friendly and inviting. The homemade cookies are also a must try.
Whenever we feel like a delicious turkey sandwich, we always stop by this local deli. We enjoy the hot turkey sandwich on a hoagie bun. The fries are nice and crispy, they offer beef and pork ribs, (prefer the pork ribs over the beef ribs) and we always get the bottles of Joe Tea peach tea.
Very warm and friendly family feel to the deli. Nice local spot that's been open for a long time!
I don't know how well these pictures will describe how good these steaks were. I seasoned and let sit in my fridge for about 18 hours before cooking on a cast iron. Definitely the best steaks I have ever made at home. I get all my steaks, chops, sausage, and turkeys at Pete's because they deliver consistently.

I stopped by to try this place for a quick lunch. I had the best sliced bbq brisket sandwich I have ever eaten. The people were friendly.
The owner and staff were super nice and helpful. They kept asking us to try samples and even gave us some extra meat to take home and cook while we were checking out. The deli sandwich were also very tasty and the portion size was generous.
My first visit here and they food is great. I got a chopped beef sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie. The service is great, the staff are friendly and the prices are decent. The fries 🍟 were a bit pricey (gotta love inflation) The owner was so nice. He talks to his customers, and even ran the register. He gave me a freebie sandwich for the road. I even saw him giving a paying customer some cookies to try. I will be back. It is not every day that you meet such kind and friendly people like Michael!!!
I've been shopping here for over 40 years, when I was still in law enforcement, and Pete Sr.was a good friend of mine. It's been a while since he's gone on to glory, however, Pete Jr. is still carrying on the same quality service, and an array of fantastic foods, and meats.

The best cheesesteaks around... I've spent a lot of time in Philly and Chicago eating enough cheesesteaks to make Jesus sad and Pete's steak hogie puts them all to shame.
One of the best hidden gems in Houston. A classic Texan meat shop where you can find the best and most exotic type of meats. And the good part is they prepare the best buffalo burgers in town!
The local made jerky, cheese stake sandwich & ribs are out of this world, you will never get board of the food in here. And to end it the perfect way, try the home made cookies.
Owner here is so down to earth and very generous. It's a must go to place for a good local food.

This store is unlike any other in Houston they have amazing hospitality makes you feel like your around family.
They have a broad selection of meats more than your average butcher and if you don’t think that is true, go ask any butcher in town if they have lion meat or kangaroo meat? Very exotic meats you won’t find anywhere else.
That’s not all the Deli is the reason I mainly come, their award winning philly cheesteak is easily the best in Houston and even in the country I don’t see how it could be any better. Everything from the bread to the spices is put together to perfection, no franchise can compete. They also have many more options on the menu that I can’t wait to try.
To add the cherry on top ask them if they have homemade cookies available they are truly the best I’ve ever had !
Highly recommend to just go in and check it out there’s something for everyone.
