I had the smothered porkchops with rice and gravy. So very good. My friend had the turkey wings with dressing and gravy. Oh man, that was totally the way to go today. Turkey is so tender and moist. Dressing was perfect. I will go back and when I do, it will be the Turkey wings, bet on that.
Ordered smothered pork chops, greens, and yams...Great food!!! Generous amount for price compared to a fast good establishment!!! Food made from love!!! Friendly staff!!! Will be back!!! I'm from the south (MS) and this hits home!!!

The turkey wings were very tender. Could've been a little more flavorful( for my liking) however overall GOOD. Clean throughout the building, great customer service and black owned!!!!
I just finished my plate of a big turkey wing and rice. Whoever seasoned this is a mastermind in seasoning. The wing was tender and the gravy was delicious. I ordered the fish and shrimp basket that came with fries. My kids ordered the meatball, rice and gravy with a side of mac and cheese, potatoes yams and cornbread dressing and I must say everything was so delicious. First time ever going but trust it won't be the last.
This is a hidden gem For Real. I literally was getting emotional with how good the food was. And they give a good amount of food! I swear it’s one of the best soul food places in Houston hands down.
exactly what I was craving. ladies at counter were super friendly and the food was delicious. I had the smothered ox tails w greens and mac and cheese. hubby had bbq chicken yams and okra. I need a good nap now.
I can't say enough good things about this place. It is absolutely DELICIOUS. The food is AMAZING and the atmosphere of the restaurant is personal and quiet. The best down home southern cooking you can find around Houston. They are giving Mikki's a run for their money. I can't wait to eat here a
Yams, mac & cheese, rice & (brown) gravy, and smothered chicken were seasoned and tasty. Cornbread was ok, nothing special.

I finally stopped in after hearing about this place and passing by it
a number of years. Ordered oxtails( meat only). They did not disappoint as they were fresh, very tender, tasty and full of flavor. Seasoned to perfection and small two medium size which is my preference. Will definitely go back!
