Nguyen Ngo French Cafe - Houston - Photo album

Godd variety of fillings for their banh mi. The cafe sua da isn't fresh and they use coffee creamer instead of condensed milk so probably don't get that
This local mom and pop shop has better sandwiches than Lee's Sandwiches. You must go early if you want to try the croissant version. We liked it so much, we came back for more sandwiches the following day.
Delicious banh mi. I like that they toast their bread here. It’s relatively peaceful and quiet with just music playing in the background. Didn’t take long to get our order out. It looks clean inside and is spacious. Only down side is if you don’t carry cash, you will need cash to purchase. They only
This place offers really great Banh Mi with the unique twist of using croissants. I’ve had my fair share of Banh Mi from different markets in Boston and NYC and I was really impressed. Outside of the bread the rest remains the same for your usual Banh Mi. The menu is really reasonable and I would s
Remember when you found "the one?" The one person who gets you, completely. The one tv show that makes you REALLY laugh out loud, really loud. The one pair of jeans that double as your second skin, that you wear over and over again without washing. Well, when it comes to banh mi, I've find "the on
Cash only, closed on Wednesdays. Dine in is open again. I’ve been going to this place for years and they never disappoint. Very fresh veggies on their sandwiches. Very spicy jalapeños. Highly recommend over Lee’s sandwiches. They also have house flan made with coffee.
Outstanding banh mi and quality options for customization! I had several sandwiches featuring most of the menu: shredded-chicken/meatball/egg/pate, pork/ham/saucisson/pate, and BBQ-pork/pate/egg. The bread was crisp yet pillowy, the pate was rich and plentiful, the portions were well-balanced, and t
Love this place, Quick in and out.
My parents took us here when I was kid and when they come to Houston, this is still their “go to” Banh Mi place. I even went on a banh mi crawl with some friends (7 places to be exact) and Nguyen Ngo is still the best banh I’m I’ve had.
Outstanding place for sandwiches. The sandwiches themselves are fairly small compared to other locations, but the pricing and deals balances it out. Overall, there is a good amount of variety in what you can get in and out of your order, and all options are solid picks. Highly recommend it!
First off...its CASH ONLY so just a reminder on that. The sandwiches here are delicious! They always taste fresh. The bread is great, not too soft not too crispy/dry. I usually only eat bbq but their chicken/pate is very tasty as well. My favorite place for Vietnamese sandwiches! Sometimes on the
One of my favorite places to get banh mi/Vietnamese baguettes. This place is located in the same plaza as Lee's Sandwich, in the opposite corner. Easy parking. The inside was a lot more spacious then I expected but usually people will come, order, and then leave. So you won't see customers dining in
The best Vietnamese sandwiches on this side of the Mississippi River. Shredded chicken w/ extra chicken, jambon, and cha lua bahn mi are my favorites. Don’t forget the Vietnamese coffee to go with your baked goods!
