I had lunch at Godavari Houston again today. Second time in one week. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The hostess, Sundhira, is very gracious and pleasant to interact with. This is my new favorite place. I While I tried only vegetarian dishes so far, I haven't found one that I did not like. Truly a breath of fresh air among all the Indian restaurants popping up all over. Distinctive, tasty, great ambience. I will be going back again and again and .... .
Great food, lots of variety different than regular dishes
We had the breakfast buffet which opens at 12pm. They have lots of variety in the buffet, so you will have a lot of options to choose from. The food quality was good. They have multiple options in desserts too, their sewina pudding was really good. They also server drinks ( a hot and a cold beverage)in the buffet. Their staff was also very polite and friendly. Overall it was a nice experience.
FANTASTIC!!! GODAVARI HOUSTON IS A MUST VISIT RESTAURANT!!!! From the time you enter where you are greeted by the very friendly staff and get seated your experience continues to get even better! The buffet is a plethora of unique freshly prepared southern Indian dishes . Every bite of each dish is an experience of deliciousness. The fresh breads were brought to our table and were nothing short of gourmet. For about $14 a person you cannot go wrong. Abby and the staff treat you as if you are the only customer...total VIP. Thanks Godavari"s!! What a tremendously enjoyable experience!!!
Had a weekend Buffett, was excellent with different options for meat lovers. Lot of options for veg as well. The staff was attentive in clearing the plates, the ambience was good and food tasted very well . To critique the dessert options could have been better

Wonderful service and a great South Indian buffet! They have vegan, vegetarian and meat options, all of which are very well prepared. The customer service is beautiful, so friendly and our server brought us 2 special bread varieties to our table, including a vegan potato filled giant dosa!! The best dosa we've tried!!

Good for casual and comfort food. Ambience is pretty good. Lots of buffet options for veg and meat eaters. 14 bucks for the buffet nd Tastes good. Just be aware its brand new and wait times are up to 30-40 mins. Decent Customer service.
We ordered Mamsam roast(Goat) and schezwan noodles, both are good. We went for dinner not that crowded and the service was friendly, quick. Compared to other restaurants of the same chain, the food wasn't up to the mark but they are decent.
Food is amazing and friendly manager. The dosa was soft and crispy and the potatoes were just right. The curries had the just right amount of spice and perfectly made :) it is bit pricy because of the local tax but other than it’s fine
Outstanding food with the very kind staff!! Said that they have Tx biggest Indian buffet and it was really the biggest buffet in town with very adequate rates!! Would suggest to anybody that try once!!
I ordered the gobi manchurian, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan tandoori sampler and nuziveedu mango lassi and it was all delicious. Attentive table service, family atmosphere. We will be back!
Restaurant serves a very good buffet of tasty Indian dishes, both vegetarian and with meat. The spices in the food are well presented and add an enjoyable zing to each and every dish. The food was plentiful and the prices reasonable.
The only downside was that some of the buffet dishes were allowed to dry out as the lunch cycle progressed. I dined a little late in the cycle around 1 pm and the naan, chicken tandoori and fried onion dish were a bit dry for my taste. This is the reason I give the buffet part of the restaurant a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars.
However, I will be back to try out ordering off the menu. The tastes and textures of the buffet impressed me. I would think the same cooks who prepared the buffet would give a 5 star performance on items from the menu that are prepared fresh to order
Excellent customer service and food taste and quality was awesome!! Much appreciated! Would love to come back again! Our waitress krishnaveni was very down to earth to provide her service..She suggested tawa fish when we asked for fish appetizers suggestion which was very good..Rava dosa was at its best as well.Mirchi bajji was also good....Whatever we ordered was👌Everyone over there did their best!!
I have been to many indian restaurants around the world and let me tell you that this place stands on the top 5 of my list. I dont usually leave reviews unless the food is extremely good. Im new to Houston and I am so gald I found this great pleace. Will definitely go back every week, bc of my diet this is a treat meal, otherwise I would eat it every single day! Highly recommended.
Great buffet at a very nominal price. Taste is truly original and sumptuous. Wide choices for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian patrons. Excellent choices of deserts as well. Spice levels are most appropriate for all ages. Overall an excellent dining experience. No complaints whatsoever, at all.
It's a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing food and service. Food is so good you will love every bite of it.They offer buffets during weekdays and weekends both veg and nonveg items are included. Buffets, Dining, To go and deliver services available. They have a banquet hall and also offer food deliveries for events.
