Ok..it's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall in a strip center- The decor is not it's main selling point (but at least they tried). The food, however, is AWESOME! Seriously, this is my new favorite fish place in Houston. I went with my wife and we ordered both the 4 fish platter and the 25 fried shrimp platter and split them between us. The shrimp were large and battered perfectly while the fish (catfish) were *huge*, served straight from the fryer and reminded me of the family fish-fry dinners from my childhood. I totally recommend this place and look forward to working my way through the rest of their menu.
We had a really good dinner at Hank's Cajun Crawfish on Bellaire. The crawfish were huge, meaty and flavorful. We also tried the Charboiled Oysters and some mussels and liked them.
1 lb crawfish minimum.. The seasoning was great! They have a Cajun seasoning shaker and gave us melted butter to season it exactly the way we wanted it! The wings and fries were good too!
It was pretty good, large portions. I know some people just absolutely rave about this place, I wasn't THAT impressed but I enjoyed it but for me not gonna be on my list of places I have to go, but I would go back.
If these crawfish were a sin, I want to go to hell. Hands down best crawfish I have ever had. And awesome customer services. OMG and the Cajun garlic butter is so good that I just want to shower in it,ok I wouldn’t go that far but I have never tasted anything like this before
Went their close to closing time hoping I could get some food. The dude up front was very nice and helpful. And surprisingly their cawfish was live meaning it was fresh. So I ordered and also decided to get some tilapia. Both were really good, totally worth it. Just wish the size of both things was a bit bigger.
I never understood why people go to a restaurant that is known for a specific thing, order something else then complain when it is not the best option. This place is known for crawfish (and if you ask me crab legs), and while other things are good, they are not known for bread, gumbo, chicken etc… lol
Also, many people are comparing their spices to ASIAN style seafood. This is CAJUN… where the flavor is on the inside, not just tossed in sauces. If you want Asian style, go somewhere else. Please do not try and force this chain to adapt to this lazy way of preparing seafood. Hanks has been the OG of crawfish and seafood… please don’t change!
12 Shrimp Butter Box $10 or 25 $14. Add 1 Corn & At Least 1 Sausage .89 (Tasty). Mixed Box $22 King Crab & 12 Shrimp (lots of work deshelling). Add Butter Sauce .50, Tarter & Shrimp Sauce. Can add Sausage $1. Don't sell baked oysters anymore.
Food was flavorful and well seasoned!!! Fried rice is really good!
I love their crawfish and boil potatoes! Everything is seasoned real good and has that spicy flavor just like back home in Louisiana. I don't go nowhere else for crawfish but Hank's 🥰😋
