This is a hardcore authentic South Louisiana hole in the wall Creole seafood restaurant. The menu is whatever Pam tells you they have when you get there. Don't worry there are plenty of choices and there's always gumbo and etouffee. The flavors deep, dark, a little funky. Service is minimal - you order at the counter, she brings you the food, then you go back to the counter and get your silverware and napkins. There are at least two TVs on different channels and turned to max volume. I you're the only one in the dining room you can watch whatever you want. The place is dirty - the kitchen is in the middle of the first room and the pots are black with rolling fire. Like I said, authentic. The furniture is scratched and old and cheap. This restaurant and Pam herself are right out of Central Casting for a South Louisiana bayou. There may not be another place like this in Houston and for that reason alone it's worth going.

Absolutely delicious. We were greeted warmly as we entered for lunch. We got shrimp & grits and stuffed bell pepper with greens and black eyed pea sides. I have no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for the most flavorful food... coming here is a must. You will get a greeting like no other as soon as you walk in the door. Pam will make you feel at home and explain all of her dishes. The best home cooked meal around. This is 10 times better than any restaurant food. The stuffed bell pepper is loaded with flavor. The smothered pork chops are perfect. You have to try the collard greens and okra. It was worth the 35 mile drive for us. They gave us a sample of the gumbo, it was wonderful. I ordered some to go after my meal. We will definitely be back.

Had heard the hype. Have meant to try it sooner, but timing never fell into place. Stepped in and Pam came from behind the counter and gave me a big hug and a sample of gumbo. Already knew I wanted the etouffee. Had collard greens and candied yams as sides. Just had to close my eyes and I was in Louisiana. So good. I'm such a fool for not coming sooner.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant and I’m so upset that I took me so long to do so. The customer service was great but the food….. Omggggg! The food left me speechless to say the least. Literally! Everything on my plate was more than what I expected. The oxtails were so tender. Everything was seasoned so well. I will definitely be back!

Everything was homemade from the heart and delicious. The shrimp were so big. The Mac and cheese kept after a few days because it was so much. Bread pudding yes yes yes. The berry cobbler was a delight.

Was on this side of town for a appointment and happened to discover this gem. The hospitality the owner showed was above beyond and definitely made my day! Let’s get to the food I sampled a piece of the oxtail and it was soooo tender fall off the bone and seasoned I was second guessing my fried chicken order for a minute lol. But I got fried chicken wings yams Mac and cheese and a side of cabbage when I say the wings were huge flavorful and so crispy the Mac and cheese and yams were also delicious but the cabbage was definitely my favorite I wanted to drink the cabbage juice that’s how good it was. I also order a blueberry cobbler and it was yummy. I will definitely be back even tho it is a hour drive from me the hospitality and food is definitely worth it!!!!

If you want some good Louisiana home cooking, you need to come see Pam! From the moment we arrived she was warm and welcoming, and immediately gave us a sample of some gumbo when she learned it was our first visit. What an expert move that was!!! Once you try a bite, she's gotcha! ;-) We had gumbo, jambalaya, and bread pudding. PAM CAN COOK! Needless to say, we'll be back for more. And I highly recommend you go too!

Stopped by for the first time, looking for gumbo. I made it right as they were getting ready to close up and was greeted by the owner...Pam. She was so friendly and welcoming, full of life as if we had met before. She offered samples when she found out it was my first visit, she was very proud of her food and after tasting it, I understand why. The taste of gumbo itself had me sold. Then she gave me a taste of her oxtails, which were so tender, my goodness. Last was the taste of her chocolate sock it to me cake...with her special icing, it was moist and just melted in your mouth, so delicious. To wrap up the experience, she had the gentleman assisting her...carry my items to my car since he had his face mask on for safety. I couldn't have asked for a better experience as a first time customer.

I chose to visit this gem on Easter Sunday for the first time. I was really impressed with the way Mrs.Pam and her family/ staff greeted me. Like many others I too was offered a sample of her gumbo before deciding my order. She explained her entire buffet line to me . She was very pleasant ☺️ and full of good energy. I ordered the oxtail over rice(which she kindly allowed me a sample of too), macaroni, yams, kool-aid , and cornbread. Everything was delicious and soulful. The oxtail literally were so tender that they fell off the bone. The plate size was large enough to share with another adult and you'd both get full. Will try her again in the future.

Was in the mood for a good Po'Boy after car shopping all day, so we headed to Google. The picture I saw on Le'Pam's told me this was a place to get a real New Orleans Po' Boy. So we headed over. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by Ms. Pam, like we had just walked into her home. Very welcoming, talked to us while having us taste everything she had on the menu like we were family she hadn't seen in a while. That alone, even if the food was just OK, earned our business. But let me tell you! The food was WAY more than just OK. The food was amazing!! She didn't have the Po'Boys today but will tomorrow, so my wife and I shared a plate of OX Tails, Mac&Cheese, and Red Beans&Rice. With a side of cabbage. We both were full and satisfied. The plus for me is that she doesn't use pork in her dishes..It's hard for me to enjoy soul food eating out because everyone cooks with pork and I don't eat pork. We were shocked to hear that she has been there for 9yrs, we've been here for 5 and we're just discoving Le'Pam's. We'll be back tomorrow for the Po'Boys.

After being told about this place, I looked at the reviews online and stopped by with my mom and kids for lunch. My mother's side of the family lives in Louisiana and its hard to impress us when I comes to gumbo cause we hold a high standard. Lol this place is open for lunch (she will be open for dinner eventually as well) and when we got there, there were already ppl waiting in their vehicles too. We got there 15 mins early. We went in when it opened and they gave us samples of the gumbo. I immediately knew what I wanted to eat after that lol we sat to wait and the entire place was so cute and decorated like a place u would see in new Orleans. I was skeptical to pay 9 bucks for a bowl of gumbo..but when the food came out I was stunned and my jaw dropped. Best part? It tasted even better than it looked! We saw chicken wings they cook fresh as well and they were HUGE. And the service was the best ever. All the workers there, including the owner come by and chat and check on you. I am in love with this place! Highly recommend!! -also, don't be detoured because there is a fan in the pictures, it honestly wasn't hot in there or stuffy.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and food! Dropped in for lunch on a Friday and the service was excellent. Food was very fresh and tasty. I had ox tails (that were full of meat unlike other places). The sides were good as well. Nothing was over seasoned but left room to 'season-to-taste', which I love. The decor is breathtaking in itself. Very reminiscent of the French quarter of my hometown, New Orleans.

Food is solid here. I ordered fried catfish, oxtails, collard greens, and candied yams. The catfish was wonderful. Spiced really well and cooked perfectly. It was delish. Oxtails though, those stole the show for me. They were so tender. The gravy was seasoned perfectly and just tasted so good. The candied yams were some of the best I've ever had. Absolutely loved them. I wasn't a huge fan of the collard greens. They were just too salty for me. My biggest gripe about the restaurant is how dirty the kitchen seemed to be. The kitchen is out on the main floor where you walk in. And it doesn't look like it's been cleaned in years. Gives a bad first impression when eating there. Food was good, but probably won't go back cause I'm worried about that kitchen being dirty. That's the only thing that prevents my experience from being a 5 star experience.

First time. Offered a free sample of the chicken and sausage gumbo. We were introduced to her house for Sunday dinner. Many entrees to choose from with six sides on the Sunday dinner menu plus what is in the everyday menu. The chef Le'Pam visited our table to make sure the food was to our liking. We were also visited by several members of the very attentive staff. We really felt like we were sitting around her dinner table. Personality, charisma and genuine about the customers. The food was outstanding. Cannot say enough. Full of flavor just like the chef. We had the peach cobbler for dessert, but we ate it before we took a picture. Yum! We will be back.
