LOVED IT- Just go!. I don't usually take time to leave reviews but I'm so impressed with American Glory that I had to! I went up to Hudson from NYC for business with a group and a few locals had recommended for us to eat here. So glad we did!! The atmosphere was laid back and fun but classy. Fantastic live entertainment, and the staff was genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. I had a "beer flight" which was a sampling of different local beers. The food was AMAZING- we had a couple of rounds of wings as appetizers and everyone in our group was raving about the meals they ordered. I got the prime rib special which was delicious (especially with the homemade bbq sauces). We sat at the bar for a couple hours after dinner enjoying the drinks and music. FUN NIGHT! Definitely bringing my family here when I go back to Hudson this summer.
A BIG Thumbs up!!!. Have been here half a dozen times food and service is consistently GREAT! Huge portions, great prices, varied menu-love the drinks. The smoked meats are succulent and meat melts off the bone. Had the smoked Prime Rib last time -OMG-DELICIOUS! Great sides-love the duck skewers and the mac and cheese balls. Specials spice up the menu- Bar is classy and the attention to detail impressive. Without a doubt, best Cue in the Hudson Valley
Family-friendly and delicious!. So many restaurants in Hudson are overpriced and make you feel unwelcome. I love American Glory because me and my family always leave stuffed without spending a fortune and we feel like we've really eaten quality food. The servers know our names and they recently sent me a $20 gift card as part of their customer loyalty program! Coming to American Glory has become a tradition with my family that I love.
I love this place!. American Glory is the BBQ experience done right! Amazing environment, great food, beer and homemade sauces. I would urge anyone craving some quality smoked BBQ to try this place, especially on the nights they have specials...karaoke, open mic night, live entertainment...everything I've tried has been great.
This place is great! I've eat here with friends frequently and we enjoy it ever time. I had dinner there with a few friends from work and my daughted came along. She broughtg her laptop and they kindly let her plug it it and use it there. As my friends and I enjoyed the time out my child was entertained too. As for the food only one word: amazing. For an appatizer we had the mac n cheese balls that were spectacular. We also had wings that didn't come with sause and we had to create our own with the many kinds they had to choose from. For sure one of the best in hudson.
Great Place. I want to thank Joe and his team on the great creation that American Glory had become...it is a place that makes you feel comfortable. My family (children included) have enjoyed many times there and plan on many more!!!
Great Place. I've been to American Glory twice and have found the food delicious and the service excellent and the prices are reasonable for this area.
I applaud the creators of this concept for their innovative use of this historic building and the way they incorporated the new concept with the original structure. Downtown Hudson putting another building back on the tax roles; that's always a good thing.
I don't quite understand Janet's posts; she posts on June 8 that she doesn't like the place and claims she will never return and then on June 28 she posts that she took her daughters grad party there, contradicting herself. Why would she go back if she was that disappointed the first time?
This is a relatively new restaurant and I'm sure there are still some things to work out but overall I like the concept, the food, the prices and the environment; but that's just my opinion.
This place is a keeper!. I consider myself a BBQ aficionado so when I heard this place had opened I had to try it out. I've been there twice and tried several of their specialties and have been very pleased. The St. Louis ribs are succulent and really tender. They offer sauces on the table which I much prefer because I hate when ribs are smothered in them. These ribs are so tasty you don't need any additional flavors. Had the smoked prime rib this weekend and it was way better then any I've had in the best steakhouses in Manhattan (where I might add, I've spent over two times the price for half the portion and flavor) My girlfriend had the bodacious wedge which was delicious and the salmon which was served on a cedar plank was spectacular. The loaded fries are fantastic, the buffalo shrimp has a great zesty kick and the deviled eggs were great. Although we were so full from the meals we had to try the deserts-- We tried three --the warm apple crisp is fantastic and the Derby pie better then ones I've had down south. The chocolate cake is also really good and very light--can't go wrong with any of the choices. The menu is really expansive and the attention to detail in the presentation and clever dishes in which foods are served is so appealing. The decor is upscale and the selection of beers and spirits is huge. The bar has these really cool frozen towers that serve the beer ice cold as well as spirits and specialty drinks like mint juleps (equal to ones we've had in Kentucky). The owner is very friendly and welcoming and makes a point of introducing himself to the patrons and being very visible and accommodating. We eat out most nights and are really impressed at how together this operation is having only been opened a couple of weeks. The downstairs bar gets busy and packed on weekend nights so we made reservations for the upstairs dining room which is quieter and more intimate. There's an outside area which is also a terrific option for dining. We are thrilled that there's finally an upscale fun affordable place to frequent in Hudson.
A Hudson WINNER!!!!!!. This place is TERRIFIC!! I've already been here five times and can't stop raving about this wonderful Hudson addition. Although it's slated to be a BBQ restaurant (and delicious and authentic dishes there are) the menu is so varied and interesting. There are a lot of other really great choices on the menu for not barbeque lovers or even vegetarians. My friends aren't meat eaters but raved about the Memphis catfish and the stuffed peppers. I have had the St. Louis ribs which were outstanding as well as the brisket, chicken cutlets and meatloaf which were equally yummy. The appetizers are great--the loaded fries, mac and cheese balls, deviled eggs and wings are all really tasty and the deserts, my favorites being the warm apple crisp, the red velvet cupcakes and the Kentucky Derby pie are so sinfully delicious! The ambiance is outstanding--the decor is beautiful, the bar is so inviting and the drafts are truly ice cold as advertised. The upstairs dining room is so intimate and the vibe filling this place really rocks. This place isa real star on the Hudson map!!

American Glory BBQ is serving some of the best Q that I've tasted outside of St. Louis in a wonderful setting complete with a great bar, outdoor sidewalk seating for the summer, and a great selection of locally brewed beers. What's not to like?
Food was great, loved the smoked buffalo wings, NC style pulled pork sandwich, and beet root salad! Staff was friendly and the tavern atmosphere.
Get the Watermelon Cosmo!
It's super fresh, real watermelon, not too sweet. So fabulous, I just drank it and forgot to get the "glass is full" photo!
Original Americana and delicious food. Left rolling. Friendly warm staff and ambience!
Great food, it's not cheap but you get what you pay for.
The food is absolutely delicious, the staff is great.
Best value on an overpriced street. The portions were generous and delicious. I loved my blackened catfish.
The food was amazing! The service wasn't that good, took awhile to get our entrees and they forgot something but the food made up for it.
