Excellent Place for Dinner In Huntersville. My wife and I went to the LongHorn in Huntersville last night for dinner and it was great. I generally tend to try and stay away from Chains were possible but of the Chains, LongHorn is one of the better ones and that said, this is a superior place.
We walked in around 6:00 pm and were prompy seated. The deco is like most LongHorns except for some reason it appears more open and airy which was refreshing. Everything was very clean and you could see that it was well maintained and cleanliness was a major priority.
Our server was named Joe and he was at our table almost immediately after we were seated. He gave us our dinner menu's, took our drink order and returned a couple of minutes later with the drinks and to take our order. You could tell that Joe had been in the trade for awhile because he was very professionaly and efficient in everything he did.
There was an intriguing item on the menu that my wife and I decided to try. Essentially it was a Prix Fixe dinner for two consisting of a large appetizer or dessert, big enough to share, and choices between 7 different entrees that you could choose from.
We choose to go the appetizer route and ordered a Texas Tonion which is like a Blooming Onion served in other restaurants except the petals are alread opend and separated. This is served with a mildy spicy Queso that was very good.
At the same time, I order the Bacon Wrapped Sirloin with fries as my side and my wife ordered a Chicken Breast and Portobello Mushroom entree with Fries as her side.
When the appetizer came out and we started eating it, which by the way, was very good, my wife realized that she had ordered two fried foods when you consider her side with her entree. She called our server back over and asked if it were possible to change her order to something other that the fries she had already ordered. Generally that's a long shot getting that to work but Joe responded immediately, gave her the available options and made it happen. It's rare to see that level of service anymore.
Both entrees were very good. Great flavor and texture, cooked just right and plating was very good as well which was something I did not expect.
Only down side were the sides. My French Fries were somewhat mealy and on the starchy side. My wife's green beans were lightly blanced and served with a tomato based seasoning that had an unusual flavor.
During the entire evening, the floor manager who I assume was one of the owner's, was constantly roaming the floor and keeping things moving and engaging the customers. I personally like this hands on style of management. She came by our table about the time my wife and I were discussing her side and she said that for that side, patrons either loved it or hated it. No inbetween on that one. Apparently a regional or acquired taste. In any case, she offered to replace the side with what ever else my wife wanted.
We declined because the portions were very generous and we were already full but thanked her for the offer anyway.
The building is a little unassuming on the outsdie but the insdie more than makes up for it. Food is very good, prices are reasonable and the Service is comparable to what you would expect on the Three or Four Star Restaurant on the Vegas Strip. The do a great job and we will definately be back in the near future.

Had the best celebratory dinner date with an absolutely amazing waiter to top it off! Unfortunately we lost the receipt and forgot his nameš„“š§ but the AMAZING service and food should still be mentioned! We'll be back!!!
We had a great server and she made the experience pleasant for us. Food was pretty good and freshly prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed the mashed potatoes!
Above average location due to excellent service. We always get the Outlaw Ribeye or Parm Crusted Chicken. Itās never let us down. Draft beer selection seriously sucks.
We took our daughter here to celebrate her birthday with a delicious steak dinner. Only problem is we forgot to take a picture of the Main course but we took it off the appetizers. Everything was great, from food to service. We were very pleased with our experience here
Went to this location about a week ago and I must say the personalities in this establishment really make this place amazing. My husband and I encountered two kind people on the waitstaff that were a couple themselves and they worked extremely well together!! They kept their customers very satisfied and went above and beyond with engaging with us and really everyone in the bar. It was beautiful to watch them be so kind to one another while being so good at their job, it was effortless for them. She gave the best service at the bar we have had in a while!
The food and service was great. Our server was really good and attentive.
My husband, myself and my brother and sister in law came to this side of town to buy a desk from an individual. It was 9:15 pm and they close at 10. We asked them if they were still seating folks and they said of course. So Lewis "the one and only" was our server and he was the best I have had in a long time. He took care of us in a quick manor however never pushy trying to get rid of us! Food was also fantastic considering it was late as well!
Came here yesterday to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We were a party of 15 and our server Tanner was on point. She did it all herself and got all the orders correct, came back to check regularly and helped with the cake. The food was hot and fresh and the whole experience was great. Hopefully she'll be our server on the next trip.
