First time trying açaí bowls. They were great. Fruit was fresh, server explained everything, cute little shop just off the beach. $15 or less
Wonderful, açai, bowls with big chunks of high quality fruit. I’ve been there about 15 times and they never disappoint! The only item I’ve ever order there is the Maui açai bowl (I think that’s what it’s called), but I delete the coconut milk and honey, as I’m not a fan of those two ingredients. So yummy! Pictured is a small bowl.
They’re extremely busy at lunchtime and probably other times of day that I am not aware of. You can order online so it’s ready when you get there, though. I usually go to the Huntington Beach location because I don’t particularly like the one in Costa Mesa. The food is just as good, but it’s very noisy, and it lacks the service and professionalism of the Huntington Beach store.
These are a small space, and they are busy. We always order thru their app beforehand. Limited parking in this area, so we usually have runner while I bend the corner! It's definitely a must while you are there. We like our bonzai bowls when it's warmer outside. It is a great cool treat and very filling. I always add extra oats and honey to mine!
Banzai Bowl is a great place to get an oversized acai bowl, with lots of choices for toppings. I think it's a pretty decent choice for acai, but they tend to get busy due to their location being so close to the beach, and the quality of the preparation can be hit-or-miss. Overall, a solid offering and great location.
So yummy. The bowls were delicious. I love their fruit every time.
Never disappoints!! Love this place.
Better and healthier than the legit Brazilian açaí bowl 1000% (says a Brazilian) 😊.
When we stopped by for breakfast this morning, Zack and the rest of the family at Banzai Bowl got right to work blending by far the best Açai bowls I have ever tasted. Service was punctual, the atmosphere was laid back yet refreshing, and the food was an excellent early morning adventure for the taste buds.
Love this place! Really great bowls just always so packed and a line out the door. Last time they told us to order online when we arrived. So anticipate that if you try it.
Bowls are big and fresh.
Simply delicious !!!! There huge!!!! But the wait is Simply ridiculous so for sure order by phone 1st then go get it trust.....but get the Banzai bowl Large with Apple juice extra blueberries extra granola get the bee paulin blended in with extra honey on top super super yummy you will be back every dam day its like crack lol get a bowl go eat it on the beach people watch or just watch the sunset .....perfect
Been enjoying Banzai Bowls in HB and the spot in Costa Mesa many times. Always a great experience! My personal fave is the Sharks Cove w/ Hemp Milk. When I feel like indulging I go with Da Kine (chocolate and pb). I wish they stayed open later on weekends.
So I love banzai bowls,
And although I am an HB local-
I usually get my banzai fix at the Newport location.
Even though the HB location is closer,
For whatever reason (and this could be a subconscious mistake I'm making) I just feel like the Newport bowls are a little better.
I know it's the same ingredients and same order; sharks cove with half hemp milk and half apple juice,
But for whatever reason and again it could be placebo-
I just feel like the Newport bowls hit better.
That being said,
The Newport location by the pier is always so dang busy. The parking in Newport is a borderline nightmare, and the only way to get a bowl there without waiting for waaayyyy too long is to call ahead or order online.
For the HB location it's way more mellow, less crowded, and by no means is it a bad bowl. It's just a matter of what your willing to deal with to get your banzai.
Either way I hope you get some healthy bowl in your mix,
Especially if you're a food tramp like I am.
Yummy yummy açaí bowl. It’s fresh with great ingredients and thick enough to enjoy before it all melts. Great service too and convenient location.
Quite slow for orders to come out even when there doesn't seem to be many folks waiting. Hits the spot on a hot day if you can wait.
Tiny little hole in the wall. The fruit is always fresh. It's usually pretty busy. Service was good. Acai bowls are not as healthy as one would think. #LOCALGUIDES
