Man oh man oh man! Good 'ol Texas BBQ! I have yet to have me real Texas BBQ from Texas, however, everyone I know that's gone has absolutely said that Old Fields is the real deal! Mouth watering BBQ and their sides are absolutely worth fasting for! I've tried just about everything here and I was NOT disappointed at all. Not to mention that the atmosphere and southern hospitality is at its peak! For me it's about a half hour drive and damn well worth it. What's even better is that it's phenomenal for all age groups at any given time of day... Maybe except for breakfast. Lol

Amazing bbq place right in the heart of Huntington. You walk up and order your food and then are given a table with service. They have excellent drinks , the meats are all delicious and the sides , probably the best creamed spinach I have ever had , the mac and cheese was amazing as well. Highly recommend it.

I really like this place. The aesthetic is cool, a bar with a cross between rustic Americana and industrial look. It hosts real hickory smoked BBQ food (great portion size) and sides with a great selection of drinks that are just as unique and delicious as virgin drinks! I had a virgin Peach Smash, a great combination of ingredients with fresh mint. The staff were all so kind, as well as the manager, making my family's dining experience a good one. My folks loved the ribs and different sauces! We really appreciate everything! I wish all of you much success!

If you are a BBQ aficionado then drive on over to Old Fields in downtown Huntington, NY. The delectable meats are each prepared to perfection. Tender, sauced, and big portions will satisfy you and I imagine everyone must be left with a doggy bag. The highlight of the menu was their Smoked Corned Beef special. While I pride myself on making a spicy corned beef, I did not think to smoke it. It was sublime! Moist, flavorful, tender, and just melted in your mouth! Nothing I have ever cooked nor tasted elsewhere can compare. It was simply out of this world. Their spare ribs, chicken sandwich, and pulled pork were all well above average in taste and presentation. So when you are in the mood for cornbread, BBQ, and a cold beer, I heartily recommend stopping into Old Fields and placing your order!

Let's start with this. This is an excellent restaurant with quality food, drinks, ambiance and service, however the BBQ meats tasted just average. In all fairness, I can't speak to all the BBQ meat as I only tried the Brisket and Ribs. Both were barely warm and lacked taste. Maybe the other meats (Sausage, Chicken, Pulled Pork) may be much better. Despite that, we will be back. The Fried chicken (Boneless) is some of the best I've ever tried. Drinks were good and decently priced. The Beet salad was a small portion but filling and only $8. Very delicious even for a non salad lover like me. Chicken sandwich was slightly spicy but good. Corn bread was also some of the best and they serve a huge piece. The sauce selection was good. I would recommend adding a spicy option. For dessert, we got a Peach Cobbler (only dessert item on the menu) to share and it also didn't come out warm. Still very good as my kids devoured it and barely left me any. It's Texas style ordering so be prepared to order at the counter and the food gets brought to the table. Parking lot is right next to the restaurant but still tough to get parking. Highly recommend this place, but don't come just for the BBQ.

Hands down the best BBQ on LI. Food is absolutely on point every time. All the meats have an incredible bark. Ribs fall off the bone. Great vibe. Great staff. If you love BBQ you don’t need to look any further because it’s not getting any better than this. 🔥

Ok great barbeque in the middle of no where long island?? What?! Hell to the yeah! Heading back from the Hamptons and the fam wanted bbq to end our awesome night and as we coasted along 495, this spot was enroute towards our final destination, had the eat in and outside patio option and also open late on a Sunday, so triple brownies score there! Staff was really nice from the host to our waitress and seating inside and out was ample and apart so it was comfortable and safe. We placed our order with the host and then given a number to bring to our table where our waitress took our drinks order and then our food was brought out to us. My dinner peeps gave everything 2 thumbs up, 5 stars and then some. Ordered the Cheeseburger that came with smoked gouda cheese melted on top, the pulled ribs, the smoked brisket, and a smoked half chicken with fries, mashed sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, house-made veggie pickles and corn bread for the sides. Loved the fatty marbling on the brisket, the chicken was not dry at all, the smoked gouda worked well on the burger and the pulled pork had a nice sweet and spicy kick to it. The sides were very good but wished the candied pecans were a tad sweeter and crunchier since the sweet potato's natural sweetness wasn't present. They also served up a variety of bbq sauces on the side and the only one that was a bit disappointing was the Carolina sauce... They got the vinegar part right but that's all you tasted... A bit aways from the main highways but totally worth the detour! Will definitely be back! Eat local!!

Found this place while finishing up a really long walk. Saw the huge sign that said BBQ and felt the gravitational pull. Since that day I have been here numerous times and it is always amazing. Literally every regular item on the menu and all of the specials I’ve tried have been phenomenal. Best BBQ on the Island bar none

Good portions. Juicy meat. Yummy sides. Decent drinks. Attentive service. ***update, 2nd time coming after couple of years agree with above, but today's ribs and brisket and corn bread were sooo dry. Took off a star. Also, the prices outside are about 2$-$3 cheaper than the actual prices inside, type of misleading, should correct that

Always like to try BBQ places out in NY/LI area because how I miss the south. Brisket was well cooked, Ribs lacked some flavor but the many BBQ sauces helped. Decor was really nice, the staff friendly and welcoming. Corn bread was amazing and the peach cobbler was okay, drinks were fairly priced and sides were good as well. Will come again as it’s a nice place and parking wasn’t easy but you just have to look around because the lot is always packed.

This place is amazing! I haven’t had beef brisket this good since I was in Alabama. There entire menu is a true representation of good southern eating. First off there completely causal. I came in and plopped down at the bar, the bartender gave me the complete low down on ordering and the food. Very hospitable. Then he started me off with a sampler platter. I had some beef brisket, which crumbled as I picked it up and melted in my mouth. The half chicken was succulent and moist. The Ribs melted of the bones and the corn bread, THE CORN bread!!! Omg. It was the best corn beef I have ever had. (Period)! This food was so good I went for a second round. This time off the happy hour menu, where I got to sample all there other foods. I’m telling you now, each thing was better then the next. And then the cook/owner/manager? Scott came over and introduced himself. And provided me with a complimentary peach cobbler desert. So right now I can’t move, but when I’m done with my heart attack, I will definitely be back for more!
