My husband Bill and I would like to thank Patty and David for the most amazing and huge sushi platter we ordered for our Halloween party. It was gone in a flash! OMG it was soooo good.

Excellent food!! Great service!! My dad and I came by yesterday for lunch and the food was great. My folks and I celebrated my 30th b-day today for dinner and the food was superb. Will come back again. Thanks Bobby and staff!!

The staff are so friendly and make you feel comfortable. The sushi is great and so are some of the other Asian dishes like Pad Thai or soups.

Local place on Broadway, Greenlawn that's excellent! Akebono gives you good quantity, quality, and price in a relaxed, non-rushed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Creative dishes and great casual atmosphere.
The outside of Azuma is very unassuming, but don't let that scare you because delicious sushi awaits inside. This little restaurant in Greenlawn has great sushi at a very reasonable price.
Dined in on a Saturday. The staff was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Prices are very reasonable and the sushi was super fresh. We ordered the Sushi for Two, which was very worth it. Stop by this place if you’re ever in the area for a no frills sushi experience.
Hubby and I wanted to stop for a quick bite and came across this gem. Loved the food. Staff was friendly. Cozy ambiance. Would love to visit again.

The staff is excellent. They make it a point to remember your name and are so accommodating. Patty and Angela are stand outs. The yellowtail jalapeño is a very strong dish! Great place! Great food!
Akebono is top notch. Their fish is fresh, the dishes are delightfully prepared, the owners and staff are friendly and welcoming, and there is always hot sake to go around. The staff makes everyone feel like they're excited to see you and that sets the perfect tone for a wonderful experience. If you're a party of 4+ I suggest making a reservation. Fridays and weekends can get busy.
My wife and I decided to try something different, so we went to a local sushi place near greenlawn. The food was very good and the service was excellent. However, the decor could use some improvements. We will definitely go back to Akebono again.

Food is always fresh and well prepared. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. My wife has a gluten allergy and we have never had an issue. By looking at the building, you would never know what goodness is hiding inside. The dining room is small but we have never had a problem getting a table. This place is a hidden gem.

I Always passing but I never stop at this restaurant I don't know why. The other day my son insists that we should visit this place to diner in and review their service. I definitely stop for a meal. Even we came 30 minutes earlier than the open time. The open the doors on time and everything was ready to serve. I have a great meal with warm rice sake and I enjoy everything. Great staff real amazing people so I have to come back in order to because I want to give them a better review take some pictures and video because what I experience there guys you should not only read about it but see what is inside great place I give them a five big stars I highly recommend this restaurant.

Staff treats everyone like family. They're very hard working. Sushi is delicious and of good quality. Only knock is that some of the cooked dishes that we've tried haven't been great or are slightly different than what the menu describes them as.

It has become our go-to place for takeout Whenever our son and his family visit. The selection is extensive and everything is fresh and delicious. Their service is friendly and efficient and Easy parking, too, which is always a plus.
Have ordered take out through their online website a few times and have and nothing but stellar experiences. The food is ALWAYS on-point, service is amazing, and staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and considerate. I did once have a roll forgotten in my order, and they made it right. Akebono is a staple in my diet and I always look forward to eating here.
The best place to go if you want fantastic food and the most awesome company. Will not go anywhere else for sushi.

Akebono is my favorite restaurant on Long Island. As someone who takes great joy in going out to eat, Akebono is a real gem. I used to live in NYC, and enjoyed eating at some of the city's best restaurants. Returning to Long Island for a night out was often a bit disappointing - the service and quality could never really compare.. until I found Akebono. The restaurant itself is quite unassuming, and doesn't try to be something it's not. It is the experience of eating at Akebono that really stands out. They have THE BEST service on Long Island. They owners, Patty & Dave, are absolutely awesome and always go above and beyond to ensure that you enjoy your meal. They are some of the most gracious and kind restaurant owners I've met. They don't need fancy decor to keep you coming back, it is the warmness, attentiveness, and high quality fish. They do have some really great sushi fish, the owner selects it himself to ensure the highest quality and it shows. I suggest you try some of the less popular fish like spanish mackerel, sweet shrimp, & striped bass. I can't wait until the craziness of the past year is behind us so I can go sit at the sushi bar and hang out all night. But until then, go check out their take out! If you want something a bit different or special give them a call, they are the best and will hook you up.
