El Comalito - Hyattsville - Photo album

The food is always amazing here. Traditional el Salvadoran food, fresh handmade. I live in VA and will drive here just for the food.
We visited on a Sunday night. It was crowded and busy, but we were seated promptly. The server was nice and attentive. She took our order promptly. They had ran out of lettuce and were substituted with ‘pico de gallo’. The food was good. There’s plenty of seating outdoors, but it’s closed during the
Food doesn’t have flavor. There are so many flies everywhere and they land on you. You cannot eat comfortably.
Friendly atmosphere; my only suggestion is to keep an eye on the bathroom cleanliness during slow times.
If I could post negative stars I would but that is not a option I went there today 2/4/22 @ exactly opening time at 11am I order 8 pupusas with chicarron and queso and a pan con pavo and there was beans in my pupusas and I opened up my pan con pavo it was a bunch of vegetables and a chicken leg with
Website says they are open until 10pm but when I called at 9 , 915, and once more before walking in had no answer . I walked in at 930 only for the worker to say they closed at 9pm.. update your website.
Best pupusas in the neighborhood. Absolutely love them. Wait times can be a bit long when it's busy, which it will be, because it's so good, but put your order in and hop over to Town Center Market to grab a refreshment then grab and go. Make an evening of it!
The food is not good as used to be. The pupusas do not have much Pork ( chicharrón), and the pupusas revueltas are filled mostly with beans. The chicharrón (pork) of the yuca Frita is not fresh. The customer services is not good as employees are extremely rude.
