Enjoyed Iaria's during Indy Summer Devour! The restaurant has been in the same family for 4 generations. Very friendly staff and lots of character and charm. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely amazing food and service. We came here for devour and was a great selection of food items, even one that is not on the dIly menu ( goat cheese ).
Some close friends had been going to Iaria's and singing is praises for years, but I'd never been able to join them.
When one of my close friends and his wife drove 400+ miles to visit me for the weekend, I decided to take them here for their last night in town.
That was an excellent decision.
It was a Saturday Night and it was packed, but they got us seated within 20 minutes.
I had the Chicken Drogato (delicious!!)... and the generous portion provided a nice carryout lunch for the next day.
My Friends had the "Devour Indy" sampler, which was a cross- section of their most popular dishes.
Iaria's is a 4th generation Italian restaurant... run by the same family who has stayed true to their culinary roots.
If you're in Indianapolis and like Italian food, it's impossible to make a bad food choice.
Although packed to capacity, or server was attentive and helpful in making selections.
I cannot possibly recommend them highly enough.
Atmosphere: if you're looking for a private booth diner with privacy, this isn't the place for you... it's a large, open family dining facility with outstanding food and service.
Hopefully, this candid review will be helpful.
Cheers !
Absolutely Delicious 😋
I am a New England native who grew up eating Italian food. This place was so authentic. It had quante memorabilia throughout but is not a place if you're looking for fine dining. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!
Iaria's was a great find just outside of Fountain Square! The dishes and service were both amazing with very reasonable prices.
We started with Calamari (not pictured) that was nearly melt-in-your-mouth... Delicious! The bread and oil that came with was hot and fresh, and we noticed then Iaria's doesn't skimp on spices and herbs.
I got Chicken Parmesan with Fettuccine. The chicken was well-cooked and served with ample marinara and cheese, and the Fettuccine tasted like noodles were homemade with flavorful sauce that had a hint of nutmeg.
My fiancee ordered the special, which was a spicy rigatoni. The bowl was huge, and they didn't lie about it being spicy. We will be excited to come back and introduce others to Iaria's.
We sat at the bar and had drinks, calamari, cheese tortellini, drogato, and limoncello cake and limoncello. I cannot say enough about the service, quality and taste of the food, and the whole atmosphere while we were there. We are visiting Indy for the weekend and just happened across this restaurant and we so wish it was in our town instead. When I'm back in Indy for any reason, it will be on my agenda.
Small Family type setting. Makes me feel right at home l, this place. I love all the memorabilia on the walls. It is a smaller restaurant with bar seating. The food is still the same recipes since they opened as a grocery in the early 1900s . Servers are awesome and friendly, although they are busy and short-handed. Highly highly highly recommend this place. My wife and I just wish we could visit here more often. I'd eat dinner here every night if I could. Love it!
A vintage Italian restaurant experience. Great food at reasonable prices. They let us know what was vegetarian on the menu. Super nice staff. The place was full. Good thing we made reservations.
Absolutely one of our favorite places to dine , we love this place everything is great . Our server Tangela was perfect. And if you like Roquefort blue cheese dressing Iaria’s is amazing.
Food was delicious! Waiter was very attentive! Great place to eat for my birthday dinner! Chicken parm was amazing!!
