Great place to eat and drink a craft beer! I loved the rock artist paintings on the walls. The crack fries are a must, with your meal. Friendly servers as good variety of items on the menu. I'll be back, if and when I'm in the area again!
First time checking this place out last night before a show at the Vogue. We loved everything. Very creative menu wanted to try everything. Our waiter Zack was absolutely amazing!! Best waiter I have ever had. Funny, attentive, and loves life. Definitely will be back.
Ali was our server. Very friendly and knowledgeable of menu and restaurant. Nice experience. Love the decor, atmosphere. Crack fries are the best fries I’ve ever tasted.

Love the food. Awesome Mac & cheese, chili. Great atmosphere and the staff was great. This was our first time. We will definitely come again. Your staff does an awesome job.
Live this place! I got the tenderloin sandwich with fries. Very good. Love the massive beer list! Great ambience.
So happy... of all places I am here! All the employees are the sweetest and I’ve tried the best beers around😃 btw the best fries and food... can’t wait to try the wings🌹
Stopped in before the show at The Vogue. My favorite place to go before a show there. Great beer, bartenders are very friendly, as well as the clientele. Had a nice visit while I was drinking my beer and having a few shots of Takillya!!
Stopped there with my family after a fun day at the Children’s museum and we really enjoyed our experience. The crack fries are phenomenal and the Best Damn Fish Sandwich was exactly as advertised. Crushed Doritos for the breading really gave life to the tilapia! The kids and my wife really liked their meals, too. Last but not least, BEER! Our server was very courteous, professional, and open to us if we had any questions about the immense beer offerings. Thanks for the great experience!
12/20. My girlfriend and I went for dinner and drinks. Erick was our server and he was one of the best servers we've had! Super friendly and very helpful, we will be asking for him next time. Food was outstanding.
Dropped into Hop Cat before a concert at The Vogue (across the street). What a great space! The vibe of the bar is airy and infused with historical rock & roll vibes. It was a nice evening, so we set out next to the patio. The chili was amazing! I should've asked for a whole bowl instead of just a cup! I'll be back for more! I had a strawberry rum cocktail and my husband enjoyed a local brew. It was the prefect kickoff to our date night! We will be back!
Fantastic place! Food was great!
Like the Vogue, you guys ran out of Guinness too.
Gaelic Storm is playing at the Vogue Aug. 1st. Hoping you guys will order extra for that night. We'll be back again to grab dinner before the show.
Ashley was a great waitress. Very attentive and kind. The killer mac and cheese tasted so great, especially with the grilled chicken added. The reese's peanut butter pie was a great ending to my meal.
A great place to bide your time while waiting for a concert at the vogue. The wait staff is very friendly and professional. The burgers and beer are great. The happy hour specials are amazing. The restrooms are clean. Would definitely come back for a concert.
The food was pretty decent. I had the cosmik fries, roasted red pepper gouda bisque soup, and
hot honey fried chicken. The seasoning on the fries is always great, but the fries were a bit over cooked. The soup was amazing! That honey fried chicken was pretty good too, however, the rice did have a bit of a kick to it so if one that doesn’t like spicy food would want to avoid that dish. The service was standard. I would go back for the roasted red pepper gouda bisque soup; it was the best!
Service was a little slow but we did not mind. We were waiting for the line across the street to get much shorter.
I ordered one salad and it took me till my last bite that they brought me the wrong one, but I did not care it was really good.
Great selection of beer.
I was one day away from hip surgery, when we explained to the host I needed a different table bc the bench was too hard. They immediately jumped up to find a better spot that would be more comfortable to me.
The bartender was friendly. The bust boy was running all over to keep tables clean.
We will definitely go again..
wow!!! My mother, brother and I had such a great experience here! The grilled cheese was excellent and unique, with hints of honey/apple and delicious cheese on sourdough bread. The pretzel cheese dip was also amazing. The waitress was very kind and helpful. Definitely coming back!!
Hands down one of my favorite places to go in broadripple. Burgers are to die for and they some of the best beers around! I swear every other bar always has the same 7 beers on tap nice to see a variety! Service is always amazing especially from all the wonderful bartenders every one of them make sure I’m well taken care of, all with kindness and a smile!
Came midday, not many customers and one bartender.
Large beer selection with good local options and varied pub food selection. I tried the Bleu cheese burger and signature fries. It was on the greasy side even for a burger and fry; maybe not the best weekday lunch but i bet it soaks up a hangover well. Like most of broad ripple businesses there's no free parking nearby and the attached garage will still charge so heads up on that.
HopCat is a great place to grab lunch. It's definitely a chain but a small chain. I find it easy to get in and out of but I do not like the fact that you have to pay for parking. You would think a restaurant like this would validate parking for its valued customers. I'm going to enjoy the southwest salad today with Fire Sauce. Very clean restrooms.
Food is always good. They have the best pretzel bites. We usually get the blonde bartender as our server and she’s always friendly and knowledgeable. Makes great drinks too!
The bartenders were all wonderful. The guy that waited on me was friendly and had great recommendations on ciders. I loved my spicy chicken and waffles. Sooo delicious! I would definitely go back on my next visit to Indy.
This is one of those places that I like, but they are definitely suffering from a staffing shortage. We came in on a Tuesday evening and waited 20 minutes for the only waitress that was working the entire restaurant to help us. Not ideal when you have two little kids with you. Outside of the staffing issues, the food was quite good. The street corn appetizer was great, and I really liked my Mahi tacos. The beer menu is also impressive, with a good mix of local and national craft beers. The place itself is huge, which probably made the staffing issue feel worse. There is limited street parking, so parking in the garage for a few bucks is probably your best option.
I’ll start with the good-the food was AMAZING!! My husband got the “risk it for the brisket” and I got the beyond burger. I really wanted to take my husband here because he loves brisket. Again the food was the best part of our visit. Now, the bad. We visited on a Saturday afternoon between 12:30-2pm. When we entered there were several empty tables throughout the restaurant. Our hostess took us to the table right by the door. As soon as we were seated the server that was taking orders at the table next to our table says very loudly to the hostess “I can’t take another table, I have too many. Can you seat them somewhere else?” The server even interrupted the young man who was putting in his order for food to tell her that. I didn’t get the hostesses response because I was concerned about the server being so rude and displeased about my husband and I being seated in his section. From what I could see he had the table he was currently waiting on, the table that my husband and I were at and one other table near the end of the bar that had people sitting at them. The server visited the table next to us several times and never acknowledged us as we sat for 20 minutes waiting for another server to come to our table. Rico was assigned to our table and he was wonderful. He immediately apologized for us having to wait and for the server that was unwilling to wait on us. I did notice that after we got our appetizer another couple was seated on the other side of the table immediately to our left. This was the same table that the server cut off one of the guests ordering their food to tell the hostess to seat my husband and I somewhere else. The server that rejected us because he had too many tables didn’t seem to have a problem waiting on this couple and as far as I could tell, no other tables in this server’s section had left the restaurant. I understand being swamped and overwhelmed, I think the way the server handled it was wrong. I honestly don’t think he had too many tables, because he didn’t have a problem serving the other couple. That server definitely seemed to have an issue with my husband and I though. I did not get his name but I snapped a photo of him waiting on the couple that was seated in his section after my husband and I were seated. I’ve also included a photo of my receipt to reflect our payment and tip for Rico because he was pulled from the opposite side of the restaurant to serve us.
Husband and I came in for Lunch this weekend and were NOT disappointed! Everything from the service to the presentation and taste of the food were excellent and exceed our expectations! We’d heard rave reviews of Hopcat from several friends and I’m so glad you gave it a try! Our Server Rico was awesome gave excellent recommendations when we asked a few questions. All the food was fresh and very tasty! We got their pizza roll app, highly recommended! We also got the cowboy burger and tender meals, both were so delicious! The cosmik fries were my fave part!! Can’t wait to come to Hopcat again & again!
