Unique takes on traditional foods, good portion sizes and friendly staff. It's was about a 45 minute wait to get a table but well worth the wait, give it a try!

Well worth the wait! It wasn't super long, they really tried to keep things moving, but it's a popular place with amazing food, so go planning to wait and be happy if you don't! Great atmosphere, great people, fantastic food.

Often stop in when in town from Dayton, OH. Food is fantastic, server was attentive, and even though it's busy I never feel like I'm being rushed out the door. Group of 5 & all the orders were hot and made to order. I only wish the French toast was made with thicker sliced bread so I could enjoy more of it!

Yummy food, giant pancakes (seriously, just get one instead of two), great service, and eclectic decor. My favorite was the strange Star Trek chairs. We'll be back next time we visit :)

We love the pancakes at Ruth's. One of our breakfast entrees wasn't what we expected, so we sent it back and ordered something different. The replacement wasn't perfect, but they made it right in the end. We highly recommend the staff and food.

Nice Little Gem.... I used to go to a tucked away place in Carmel until I came across Ruth's Cafe. Ruth's is a nice little gem where the food is amazing and the prices are even better! I get the same items from Ruth's that I would get at the other prominent restaurant, but Ruth's food blew this other place out of the water! Flavoraful food, great atmosphere, and kind and ready to serve waiters! A must and if you are reading this, you are already late to trying this awesome place!!!

I had the bistro sandwich with chips and my fiancée had the ham melt with chips. The sandwiches were phenomenal; the chips not so much. I think next time we'll both upgrade to the roasted potatoes. The atmosphere is great, too, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend trying them out!

Great Service! Delish.... We ate here for a late lunch on Saturday. I tried the Norwegian Potato Cakes and loved them. My partner ordered the Potato Omelette and definitely enjoyed it as well. I would recommend this place. The server was fantastic!! Great attitude and good information... I also appreciated the unique art on the walls.

Eclectic Includes Lefsa!. What a treat to discover Ruth's Cafe! Simply, it was a joy to be invited into this eclectic setting that embodies delicious cuisine. We ordered the Crab Benedict and Salmon Omelette. Both were extraordinary delights and came accompanied with a tossed salad and sour dough toast. The crab was actually two generous and well sautéed cakes topped in Benedict fashion. Smoked salmon with cream cheese in the omelette was like eating my favorite lox and bagel without the bagel. The server was gracious and then to find the presence of lefsa on the menu was an added delicacy. Lefsa is hard to make - very thin potato - and after growing up with a Norwegian Grandmother and Mom - it was down home at its best. Thanks Ruth and all the staff for a wonderful Sunday breakfast.

Local Food Sourcing, Creative Menu, Eclectic atmosphere. Ruth's Pull Up A Chair can do no wrong. Essentially everything about this place, with the exception that they have no true sign on the outside of their building, is exactly what you'd look for in any local restaurant. I would only wish that more local restaurants imitated Ruth's restaurant model.

Ruth's uses locally available foodstuff's. Enough said. Their menu is fairly priced (I've eaten at places like this in Colorado which would have a similar menu priced $2-3 higher than here). Their menu is also very well sorted out and you can tell that they actually taste what they serve beforehand.

My wife got their daily scramble, which usually rotates 5 interesting ingredients daily (pesto and asparagus stood out). I got a potato omelet which came with a sour cream and chive side which brought it all together. Finally, the pancake I got was huge and although I appreciated the time and effort they put into the optional lemon-curd topping, the pancake truly tasted better to me with nothing but butter on it. Strange.

Overall, the bill was around $25 for a first-class brunch. We would've gladly paid more for a meal like this, but were so damn happy with everything we got.

Best breakfast spot in Indianapolis? Perhaps!

Delicious!. This place has great omelets! I had an omelet with carmelized onions, mushrooms, ham, and feta and it was out of this world! So many restaurants serve omelets with flavorless add ins, not here! Great coffee and they bring you a side of (homemade?) berry jam with your English muffin and that stuff was ON POINT. Can't wait to go back. Ps the interior/atmosphere was fun and funky, and my server was super friendly.

This little cafe had fantastic gourmet food, interesting decor, and very friendly service. I really recommend the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and avocado, the cheese cake pancake, the smoked salmon omelette with spinach & cream cheese, and the crab cake sandwich. Everything was very fresh and had wonderful taste. We were in town for volleyball and went back everyday - it was that good! We hope we are back next year- it will be our first stop! A very fresh home grown meal!

This restaurant is awesome! They changed ownership a year or so ago and since then the food and atmosphere has totally improved. I love their Brie LT and their eggs Benedict! Everyone should try this little artsy cafe because they've got a unique menu, friendly staff, and adorable interior decorations! Why go to homogenous chain breakfast places *cough* le peep *cough* when there's such a cute locally owned place with a much better menu!

For a while, Ruth's was one of my family's regular breakfast stops, but it had been a long time since our last visit. Last weekend my wife was in the mood for Eggs Benedict, so we decided to go here as it was one of our favorite Benedict places.

Upon entering, I was happy to see that the space is still very pleasant and inviting. Our server was also was very good.

I decided on the Eggs a la Crossing, which is one of their Eggs Benedict variants that replaces the Canadian bacon with bacon, and also includes some asparagus. I have had this in the past and enjoyed it a great deal. This time, though, I was a little bit let down, specifically with the Hollandaise sauce. A well-made Hollandaise has a rich, buttery flavor cut through with a bit of acid (lemon juice and/or vinegar). This time the Hollandaise at Ruth's didn't have the fresh, buttery flavor I remembered from the past. The dish was still OK, just not up to their usual standards.

I have had enough good meals here, though, that I will return to see if it was just an off day in the kitchen. For this trip, however:

Food: 2
Service: 3
Atmosphere: 3

Comfortable breakfast spot with a nice choices. The biscuits & gravy have a savory thyme flavor unavailable at any breakfast location on the Northside. I liked the flavor. Enjoy

If you’re looking for good breakfast come here!! The bacon was really crispy like it should be. I ordered a smoked salmon omelette that was good, normally not my preference but i decided to step outside the box and it didn’t disappoint. The biscuits and gravy was decent, nothing special but it did look good though. My server was really nice. It was very crowded and busy so it was a lot going on and it was getting on my nerves but overall a really nice place to go. I definitely will come back and recommend.

The host was the sweetest and kindest lady that treated me like she was my own grandmother. This is the epitome of locally owned ma & pop shop. The wait was only 10 minutes and the server attended to us within 2 minutes of seating to take our coffee orders. After delivering the coffee she immediately was ready for our food orders and the food came out within 10 minutes. The taste of everything was absolutely remarkable. Mind you, every single table in the restaurant was full so to have service this responsive was incredible! Upon leaving, the host called me out by my name and asked how the experience was. I will recommend this place to everyone that ever asks for a great brunch spot and I will certainly be back. Thank you so much!

This place, is an oddly decorated and eclectic restaurant. I had the traditional, eggs Benedict this morning, which was very tasty indeed. Shaved Ham on top of an English Muffin and two poached eggs and potatoes for 12 dollars. A side order of toast with grape jelly and a piping hot delicious coffee. I really liked this place it had a down home feeling. No two tables, chairs, or coffee cups were identical, so on and so forth. Just like sitting around the table at home when I was a kid. Over the top great service, followed by good food at more than affordable prices. Hope to return soon and try something different. I highly recommend this place. 👍👍

We had a great experience at Ruth’s cafe! The overall vibe is rather small but the decor is pretty entertaining. We had a bit of a wait to get a table but they were fast at accommodating us. I got the French toast with eggs & bacon and it was fantastic overall. Overall, a good breakfast joint I’d recommend if you’re staying at one of the hotels at Keystone.

Always a good experience at Ruth’s Cafe when I visit Indy! They got rid of my favorite walnut tea, but I would still go back for the delicious food!!! So many options and all that I’ve tried have been delicious!

I am gonna run out of words talking about this place. Make sure to check out the videos, too. If you haven't been to Ruths Cafe, what the heck ya waiting for?? It's beautiful inside and out. The food is so worthy of your time, and the service comes with smiles. There is so much to look at, and you'll never see 2 of the same thing...I didnt!!!! Do I start at the Grogru bathroom or the chick table?? Do I tell U about all the chairs being different and not matching the tables. How about their local art wall? Yes, there's local art for sale that supports the artist!!! This place is so funky that it doesn't fit the area, but just what this area needs. If it's before 2 pm, go by Ruth's and see what I mean. Our food was delicious. Grandma got egg salad (yuck) she loved it. I tasted it. It's not my favorite, but it wasn't gross, just not for me 🤷🏾‍♀️🤣🤣. I built my own scramble and baeby, they got it RIGHT!!! It's just an overall good place to eat. Even the take-home container is one I've never seen. I'm just in love, and we will be back!!!!

Ruth's food was delicious. Large portions and a great atmosphere. Met with some ladies for a brunch and it was awesome. We did wait about 20 mins and I will say it is a little crowded, but unlike other places the crowd actually makes it feel cozy. It works for them. Definitely give it a try!!

Good food and great atmosphere. The only downside about this place is the parking is horrific when the shopping center is busy. I can't hold it against Ruth's Cafe. The restaurant was busy and that's great for business, but the parking situation is bad. We parked across the street and walked over. I highly recommend the chorizo gravy.

My first visit to Ruth’s (we just moved to Indy from the east coast). So yummy!! I had the breakfast entree “Not Quite Old School”. Asked for corned beef hash to be well cooked - it was perfect! Deliciously crispy and moist. Darling server, such a fun atmosphere! I’ll be back!!

Very quaint, very pleasant. We came at the height of brunch and still only waited about 20 minutes to be seated. I had a salmon omelette and my friend had eggs Benedict. Very delicious. The specials looked good, so I'll need to come back and try them.

Ruth's Cafe is a nice breakfast spot. Especially on Sunday. It has what can be described in many ways but described by me as a "Fun" atmosphere. For a person with A.D.D. like myself, it's always got something to see or read to keep your attention at every twist and turn. When you walk in there is typically a wait on Sunday. Either way, you can grab a cup of coffee to enjoy while you wait. There is a very small waiting area but the staff does a good job of filtering people in and out. We did not have to wait long. The service was great and each table is unique in style and has a specific theme. The corn beef hash and eggs were wonderful. All portions are plentiful. We tried a few things and they were all great. We never felt rushed which can happen at some breakfast joints and enjoyed our visit.

From out of town and chose to try this place for first time wish I could give more stars!! The service, the food, the atmosphere...the list goes on!! I am a picky eater but tried my very first eggs Benedict here with the Norwegian potato cakes (Ruth's recipe) I cleaned my plate...lol! The potato cakes had zucchini and squash as well and were just amazing!! I want to find her for the recipe! The waitress was so nice and did such a great job as well...hard to find these days. Do yourself a favor and EAT LOCAL AND TRY THIS PLACE ALREADY!!!

I was looking for something tasty, not being from Indy I wanted to try something local. This place did not disappoint! It’s bright and colorful, the decor is quite loud and even entertaining. The host was great, service was a big slow- but they were very busy. Food was great, delicious and large portions and inexpensive. Try the cheesecake pal cakes! Highly recommended if your a tourist or a local
