First time tonight and we will be back!! Have a little bit of everything on the menu, amazing drinks, the service from Casey was the best!! My husbands chicken wrap was loaded with chicken, my salad was perfect with fresh greens and fruit! Thanks!
We were visiting for a conference and we hit the jackpot. The food was absolutely incredible. Literally β everything we ordered was spot on and amazing. We shared a lot of the items we ordered and take note - it was phenomenal! The appetizers as seen in the pictures were so good! The steak and burger tasted to perfection. It had a ton on tap, but the food is where it is at!
What a great place to catch a game at! The District Tap is HUGE! I absolutely love the super large fully wrap around bar in the middle of the building. There are plenty of bar seats! Also the TVs are everywhere, so you'll never miss any action from your favorite teams. Multiple bartenders were serving so my drink was never empty. I did not eat on this visit but will return for food soon and I'll update this review accordingly! I would recommend you visit this place if you're in the area! 5 β¨'s!!
It's okay. This was my second time. The food is decent. The server was good. The atmosphere was so so. The restaurant is clean. It was just too noisy. The music was blasting and the trivia guy was loud and obnoxious. Couldn't really enjoy conversation at the table and it was hard to communicate with the server.
I had the cajun butter ribeye and the steak was cooked to my requested temp. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly good.
I think what threw me the most is the complimentary dessert they brought to me for my birthday--just a bowl of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream--a lot of whipped cream, and chocolate syrup; oh, and a sprig of mint...and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Like they were REALLY trying to drive the complimentary point. Lol! Everyone else out here is giving cake, cheesecake, a brownie (with ice cream) or at the very least, a bite of brownie! Really, a bowl of ice cream...they could have kept that. Honestly I fought hard to not let this earn them three stars! LOL!
All that said, I would revisit and I do recommend.
So this is our second visit to The District Tap. Quite honestly, the first visit was unexpectedly bad. Food was ok but the service was way off... we had to ask for menus, ask for someone to take our order, and our server never came back to check on us. That visit took over two hours after seating and it wasn't busy.
That was awhile ago, so we decided to try again.
This second visit was much better, so that's all I'll say about our first visit. Here's what happened today:
First the food... 5 star visit! Our table ordered Fish and Chips, District Mac with Grilled Chicken, and a Beef on Weck. The Fish is deep fried Salmon... I sampled a bite and it was really good - surprisingly so. Generally I only eat broiled/baked or pan fried salmon but I might order that on a future visit because it was perfectly done. The fries (chips) were lightly seasoned, and it came with Asian slaw (this version is basic cole slaw without the creamy slaw dressing and cilantro added). Fortunately my wife ordered the Fish and Chips so I got to sample all of it. I was genuinely surprised how well Fish and Chips with battered, deep fried salmon came together as a dinner. I didn't taste the District Mac with Grilled Chicken, but it looked great and the person who ordered it thought it was quite tasty.
I ordered a Beef on Weck, horseradish on the side, with a side of creamy cole slaw. It's been quite awhile (a few decades?!) since I had a Weck roll, and this one wasn't exactly as I remember it, but it was still great. The Shredded ribeye and flavorful au jus were just about perfect. Nice balance of salt and seeds on the Weck, soft inside and a good amount of beef made this one of the best sandwiches I've had in recent history.
Our server today was easy to talk to, checked in on us a few times, got our orders right and we were served our food within 25 minutes of ordering. So all good there.
I didn't order any alcohol but with a name like District Tap, they have a lot of choices. Check out my picture of the bar if you're interested.
In warm weather they open up the front of the restaurant which looks like a fun place to sit.
Update: After 2 years, I came back to this restaurant, and it was still great. It's pretty hard to top this place. I travel all over the country, and this has to be one of my favorite spots all over the US. Still great food and great specials. Still have friendly staff and a great ambiance. I just really enjoy the District Tap π π π π π
I stayed at the Sheraton, and this place was within walking distance. I LOVED this place.
I have been to this place multiple times. The staff is very friendly at the bar, especially Rachel. She has a goos memory and treats customers very well. The food is awesome and lot of beer options on tap.
Friendly staff, fast service, enjoyed doing trivia there. Had the buffalo chicken wrap and tater tots. Both were excellent especially the tater tots. Also had the chocolate chip cookie for dessert which was quite tasty. Looking forward to coming back again for trivia.
I sat at the bar to watch college basketball. The atmosphere was very nice. This bar is big--and TVs everywhere there were probably 20. My date and I were served our drinks promptly. I then ordered salmon--medium--it came with instant mashed potatoes, vegetables, and the salmon wasn't medium but it was fine. My date got a medium steak, it was also fine, not great! I will go back to watch sports though!
Always a pleasure when my family and I visit. I have introduced more people to this place than I can remember. It is that good. From the ambiance to the food and the wonderful service π. I'll be back this weekend. Lol
We stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. The inside is laid out nicely and is very relaxing. The place had a good size of customers inside but we were promptly seared and waited on. I found the beer selection to be pretty large but many I have had before elsewhere. I was looking for a wide selection of home crafted beers but I did enjoy the two I got.
I ordered a shrimp Po Boy sandwich with Cole slaw. The sandwich was great! The Cole slaw seemed like it was from Gordon's Food service. My son got a burger and asked for medium but it was just a step above rare. He ate it anyway and said it had a good taste.
I will be back though because the food was good as was the beer and the price was reasonable.
I had a great time eating wings and watching the Iron Bowl at District tap. We chose DT because of its ability to host a party of 7 with kids - and they have one of the most comprehensive kids menus Iβve seen. The atmosphere I would describe as an upscale casual sports bar (at least the area we were seated in) and I would describe the overall experience as something close to dining at a Yard House. The wet and dirty wings (while being named ridiculously) were excellent. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals and overall experience.
Updated Review-My honey and I decided last minute that we would go to District Tap today, originally we were going to go downtown Indianapolis and enjoy the Garage. It dawned on me that it was Friday, traffic downtown would likely be brutal so it was either The Cheesecake Factory or here, well here we are avoiding the congestion of the Fashion Mall. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress prepare to take drink orders. My honey had a beer, I enjoyed water no ice no lemon and we decided Southwest eggrolls would be a great appetizer choice. The egg rolls were served with guacamole and some other type of sauce that they could have kept. For my main course I went with the steak torta with french fries and my honey went with steak stir-fry, it was served over rice. Both entrees were good, nothing to write home about, to be honest, and I hate to say it, the french fries were the star of the show. They have a broad menu and we wanted to try something different today. They definitely have yummy selections and the service was amazing. We will be back, we just will not be getting the same thing as we did today.
The hostess was very friendly from the get go greeting us as soon as we entered the establishment.
This restaurant was very well spread out with space inside & outside to help with the code guide lines.
Our waitress was also very professional and friendly, she did a great job on making sure our time was enjoyed.
If I am anywhere near another The District Tap I will surely return and or recommend to all friends.
Beyond π₯! I have been here in the past, great place to watch games, have a drink, and eat high quality food. I have never been disappointed with anything. Service was fine, food excellent, decor clean, and assortment of drink. This place is kids friendly, party friendly, and large group friendly.
Recently went for lunch, nice atmosphere, decent meal, flavors may be a little off, very large menu alot to pick from.
