We went on Valentine's Day, which has gotta be the hands down busiest day for any restaurant. No reservation, and it was indeed crowded. But the host staff were still able to find us a table with minimal, reasonable wait time. The serving staff was prompt, friendly, accommodating, and on it! And the FOOD!!! Everything was delicious! You must try the seafood gumbo, just delightful. :) The band playing in the other room was a good accompaniment to our meal. Very glad we tried this place for the first time, the atmosphere was upscale and classic yet laid back. It was just what we were looking for, and I can't wait to go back.

Took my wife to Kona Jack's for her birthday dinner. It was amazing food (crab cakes, calamari, seafood gumbo, clam chowder, grouper, sushi and raspberry chocolate ice cream), tons of food (leftovers for tomorrow), cool environment, and a great server (Marty)!

Best sushi in Indy. I highly recommend the Mr. Fuji Roll. All the food is fabulous, the atmosphere is warm and fun, and the bands are always wonderful.

Daddy Jack's/ Kona Jack's/ Apres Jacks was awesome. TOY FACTORY gave a awesome show as always‼️ The food that me and my wife had was totally awesome and the drinks were great (the bartender went a little heavy handed on some drinks) but were tasty and really, really good. It's a great place that I would greatly go back to again and again. Wish they had some pool tables and dart boards.......

We went a little wild and enjoyed oysters, sushi, and a full dinner. Everything came out in a timely manner and was cooked perfectly. Our waiter, Arden, was top notch. He was very attentive and friendly.

Hidden gem in Indianapolis! This place is super clean, Great service, great food, great atmosphere! You feel like you are in Florida. The fish is amazing and flown in from the gulf. Our favorite is the grouper and wahoo!

Family dinner we all enjoyed! No waiting and fast service. The staff was amazing and offered great service! The sushi was excellent along with the clam chowder and fish and chips. We will make this a regular stop!

The walleye is baked! Stepdad ate it but wanted fried. Please call that out. Most Midwestern folks assume fried over baked. Mom ordered the shrimp linguine. She really wanted shrimp (seafood) fettuccine. 🥺 It was her mistake, but I wish the server had checked to see why food was not eaten. The server was a dear and kept drinks filled and coming! Very generous pours. 💙

Everything was excellent! Went for our Anniversary & came back the same month. The gentleman at the front was very friendly both times. Best Oysters Rockefeller & New England clam chowder I've ever had! The Kona sushi roll was so good, my husband, who doesn't like sushi, LOVED it! The African Lobster was SO tender & I LOVED the garlic butter. We will come here regulary now.

Had a tasty dinner and sushi experience here. We had a large party so we wanted a sushi boat assortment but they didn't do that? Odd. Quality of the fish seemed very good and the atmosphere in the restaurant with fish tanks was cool.

Proud to post such a great review, in todays world it has become so rare to experience a great night out , tonight was wonderful, great food great atmosphere and great service . From the very start to entering the building talking with the hostess to sitting down and having Matt as our sever was fabulous, even the manager (I believe his name was Mike) took very good care of us . All the food was terrific especially the clam chowder , highly recommend this establishment.

My favorite restaurant in Indy. Everything on the menu is so good, and fantastic wait staff. I love the Mt Fuji sushi roll. The crab cakes are delicious, and scallop appetizer. Everything from fish and chips to their fish of the day dishes is wonderful. I love this place!

After making reservations at a restaurant with a similar name, I went to a different restaurant with a similar. As a result I lost the reservation. Management at Kona Jack’s overheard my dilemma and offered me a table during a very New Year’s Eve time. The result turned into a blessing as the food ordered had to be the best in the Indianapolis area. Had a feli that was out of this world and my wife ordered a 12 oz steak that we will be sharing for the next two days. However, that was not the best part of our experience. We were given a server who was an angel from heaven. This man, whose name is Darrell M treated us as if we were the greatest celebrities in the world. He was not overbearing or peaty, but he was spot on when it was necessary in spite of it being a very busy New Years Eve. Kudos to Darrell and management. At Kona Jack’s Restaurant.

My only complaint is I wish I was more hungry! Portion sizes were good I just didn't think I could find the big walleye plate so I got a fish sandwich instead and that was still plenty big! Not to mention sorry tasty!!! Loved it. Wait staff was very nice and attentive, could not have asked for a better experience.

I've only gone once but I thought the place was awesome! Darrel was such a great server and the atmosphere was easy on the imagination. I got the oysters for an appetizer but I saw someone else get the calamari and i wish I had got that. The calamari looked huge; like onion rings. I also got a lobster tail and their seafood Alfredo. The lobster tail was pretty good and definitely well priced, I payed 24 for a 5 oz. It comes with a candle warmed dipping butter which looked nice. The pasta was so so good and creamy. Desert was amazing too! Pretty great place and I would love to go all the time but I'm not rich unfortunately.

i have to admit, we were ambivalent going in. we've had questionable seafood around indy. while i didn't enjoy their oysters very much (they were huge, lacked flavor, and weren't loosened), everything else was great! the sourdough loaf was excellent! it was crunchy and doughy with just enough tang. the macadamia nut butter was also fantastic. i liked dipping my bread in the clam chowder, which was one of the best i've had in indiana. we got the ono and the walleye. the walleye was ok and nothing special. the ono was prepared very well. we really enjoyed our experience and it's a nice option for a fun dinner!
