Out of town from Columbus, Ohio. Me and my Family visited this place for lunch. Before I got to the place I was able to look at the menu and the pictures of the food on Yelp and FB and I would like to say that everything looked exactly as I ordered it. I ordered a rib dinner and a beef on a bun. My two sides were mac and cheese and greens. Everything was excellent. Steam hot ribs and sides. No one was rude. We mention that we were from out of town and they wished us well when we left. Chess pie was also good. My mom brought a pint of the rib sauce. The meat was tender and had a smoke taste. No lighter fluid taste. The restaurant had plenty of seating. People were parked in their cars at 11:30am on a Sunday waiting for them to open. Not a bad experience for us. They get an extra for that.

This the best place for ribs the service is a very fast paced I been eating kings since I was 16 and I'm 45 now all there food has always been great I currently live in southwest Michigan and hands down no one tops kings top-notch ����

I had the chicken on bun sandwich. For meat falling off the bun with awesome mild sauce the price with tax was $5.18. You won't find a better quality/price deal in Indy !! I will visit again and I will try the mild/hot combo sauce next time!!

Stopped in Kings BBQ on 16th street for lunch yesterday. OMG the pork on a bun was so delicious as was the baked beans and mac and cheese. The girls at the front counter were very friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

LOVE! The sauce, the flavor, the smells and the mac n cheese!! Nice people there too. We drive 40 mins to get these ribs. ☺️😋

I love King Ribs they are always fast & friendly. My organization use them for catering on a regular basis. 16th St you & your staff Rock. Also thank you very much for your donation a few months ago. My coworkers really enjoyed the food.

The best. They beat all the barbecues around the city the only place I eat barbecue the Mac and cheese could be a little bigger but the meal is great

Great BBQ! Surprised!. It's definitely a hood joint. I never saw a bbq place with a drive thru but it was really good. I like sweet barbecue sauce and got it. I'm from Chicago and am used to this type of bbq. I tried the 16th street location from the reviews and am glad that I did. I would go back definitely!

Great Tasting BBQ from a landmark Joint!. Finally stopped by here after many years to sample the BBQ again. Drive-thru wait was quite long in time with only 4-5 cars but got a great view and smell of the smokers behind the building while waiting. Upon arrival to the window, still had to wait about 5-10 minutes. Regardless, this place an icon of BBQ for the west side. Once we got it home, all was great flavor, but the ribs were hit and miss on the fat as if cooked to quick and not allowed to render down. Sauce was very good with light spicy bite. We will get the pulled pork next time. Great flavor and can't wait to try..

Doors locked drive thru open. Tried to eat here but the front door was locked. It was only 7:30pm and according to the posted hours they should have been open. Some guy yelled out on the way to his car that the driver thru was open. What gives? Well, went back through the drive thru today 07/05/2012. I got a large tips. The smoke flavor was present, I got a fair amount for 10 dollars. Sauce is a bit runny, but flavorful. Got some fatty bits, but that is to be expected.

Good ribs. The sauce is the best around,the ribs are hit and miss,if you get them right off the grill,they are the best,sometimes they are tough also..so sometimes there great the other times not.good luck..people are often rude as well.

Good Ribs in Indy. King Ribs knows bar-b-que. The whole slab is our favorite. But, if I'm not really hungry the pulled pork is really good.

Love it.... These are the best ribs in Indy. I haven't tried the other Kings locations but 16th street is fantastic. Hmm... yeah, just thinking about it makes me crave it. Location isn't really convenient but it is worth the trip!!!

Ribs to die for!. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We bring these ribs home to enjoy. Yum....hot is HOT....we like the mixed sauce best. Last time we purchased, they had changed their potato salad, which I did not like as well. Baked beans are great! Great take-out ribs! This is a "Rib Joint" in the best sense of the word!

The skinny on the food is a mixed bag. I understand the focus of a barbecue joint is the meat, however, I also think equal time should be paid to side dishes as well and here the devil is in the details. So, while the Mac & Cheese was home-style and had a good cheesy flavor, the macaroni was way overcooked and mushy. The Potato Salad was yellow, so you’d expect a mustard flavor right? Wrong. It seems the mustard was only added for color; otherwise the potato salad was rather plain with a little sweetness. Initially I thought the Coleslaw was a disappointment but as I took a second bite the flavor started to grow on me. The slaw is finely chopped with a little carrot added for color. The sauce is very mild but as you take second bite the flavor starts to really come in. I found it pleasant tasting. Unfortunately, the individual serving sizes for the sides are fairly small, meaning you only get two or three forks full a serving.

King Rib’s is an old-time local chain of BBQ joints. They have four restaurants, and according to some folks this is the best. I don’t know about that; but this place is pretty darn good. This is their “smoking” area. They have three of these bad boys out back. It has fencing all around so you can’t really get too close. I took these shots from the car, only because it was too cold to get out. They have a small and sensible menu, featuring smoked meats, a few sides and pie. That is probably one of the reasons for their success and longevity. Pat’s ribs were big, meaty and cost 9 bucks and change. No sides. I decided on their Tuesday special. Rib Tip dinner with two sides for less than $8.00. Their prices are more than reasonable. Especially when you factor in the amount of food you get. They offer their sauce three ways. Mild, hot and mixed. I ordered my tips with mixed. I also got mac and cheese and baked beans. I read one review that suggested that their sides were their weak link. Well I am not sure I necessarily agree. The beans were tasty, just not as thick and gooey as I like. As for the mac and cheese it was more than passable. There are better examples out there. Unfortunately more, that aren’t as good. Now as far as the main act goes it was right on point. In addition to being a generous pile of meaty and tender pieces it had an excellent smoky presence. The sauce they prepare is thinner than the more Southern style. But it had enough leg to cling to the meat. All in all I think it was a stellar example of the smoking art. One last thing; the pie. They have Chess Pie and Sweet Potato Pie, both made in-house. Both $2.25 per slice; $8 for a whole pie. I had a piece of Chess pie. Wow. It was good. Very good,and very sweet. So we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Good food with good prices. Just make sure you save room for pie.

Loved eating a King Ribs Bar-B-Q. The staff is always friendly and food is always delicious. We had ribs and Mac & cheese and I put my sauce on my Mac & cheese. I’m still thinking about how good it was…..

Got a center cut rib order tonight. It was sooooo good. Ribs were nice and tender and flavorful without sauce on them. I give the ribs 8.5/10 However the side of Mac and cheese I got was awful 😖 lol it was just overcooked pasta with too much salt 1/10. I'll definitely be going back for the ribs though. Service was great as well. Drive thru went quick. They also do door dash as well.

I seriously can’t tell you how much I missed having this place just down the street from where I worked. The rib tips are so good and you can taste the smoked flavor and the bark is amazing and so juicy on the inside. I like it with the sauce on but my other half likes it with the sauce on the side to get more of the smoked flavor. Baked beans are great. They have peppers in them and it gives them a unique goodness. The macaroni and cheese is baked. You can tell it’s legit and not from a box. (drool) The have greens on the weekends which is one of my favorite things because I’m the only one that eats them and it comes with little cornbread muffins. We live far away so I had to get some sauce to-go! They even mix the hot and mild for you!! Come on how awesome is that! Although, it can’t go unsaid that the staff is AWESOME and so friendly and personable!! If you’ve never been go and if you have been go back.

The rib tip dinner was very exceptionally good. I love their meat and the BBQ sauce was very delicious. The baked beans and potato salad were also tasty. Definitely a fan!

Got some ribs, baked beans, & coleslaw through DoorDash. SO GOOD!! Ribs were so tender, fall off the bone, and you could really taste the smoke! Baked beans and coleslaw had great flavor, as well!! Keep it up! Will definitely recommend to others!

Was visiting my husband while he was training on a job in Indianapolis, this is a really good spot for food. The employees there are extremely nice and friendly. That's some really friendly people that were sitting down dining in. I had ordered some rib tips with chess pie it was super good! Won't be back in Indianapolis anytime soon but when I do this will be my to stop by spot.

Drive through only, but it never fails to receive quality food. Large rib tips mixed sauce on the side and greens and roll. It's called " eat and pass out sleep 😴 on Saturday night "

It's just good tasting smokey bbq. Not fall off the bone. Not award winning. But you get that mixed sauce and toss it on your Mac, you get them tips and let em soak up that sauce, you're having a good time

I was told that King Ribs is the best in town if I wanted some barbecue while In Indy for work. I pulled around to that drive-thru and saw actual grills and smokers outside and a grill master on deck showcasing his talents, and I was instantly sold! A lot of these places that sell barbecue don’t have a grill in sight! That was very refreshing and me being a caterer myself who specializes in barbecue, that was that authenticity I was looking for. I got the rib tip dinner with baked beans, macaroni and cheese and potato salad. The baked beans are amazing! The Mac and potato could use some tweaking, but also tasty as is. The rib tips and sauce was 🔥🔥🔥 and the ribs are seasoned perfectly. I took away a star because I asked and paid for a cup of the hot barbecue sauce, and it wasn’t in the bag when I got back to the hotel. Other than that, King Ribs is official!!
