Excellent and authentic Mexican food. Atmosphere was like no other place I've been. Service was wonderful with a little language issue. I don't speak Spanish and it was a tad difficult to understand the waitress, but we figured it out š
The outside initially gave a bad impression, but once you entered, it was great. Chili Rellenos were authentic and filling. The chips, salsa, and queso appetizer were really good. We experienced great value for what we ordered. It is hard to find good authentic Mexican food when traveling, but La Parada did not disappoint. Additionally, when I saw the bench design in the front (see the pic), I said to myself, "This better be good."
Seriously, stop here. Itās so delicious. Tamales are amazingly fresh. Just like abuela would make for Christmas, I swear. The empanadas are so AMAZING. Best empanadas Iāve ever had, hands down. The elote is great too. Just do yourself a favor and stop in.
Best kept secret in the city - Carlos is the ultimate waiter & friend. The staff treat everyone like family even me.. the lonely Gringo! Verde tamales shrimp cocktail and the #25 modelos + Mezcal, even live music on the weekends. Amazing atmosphere & Staff shout out to the chefs and kitchen staff too keep killing it. Your Friend JC
They have some really excellent food A lot of variety and choices in the menu. Their patio wasn't open yet for the summer when I went but it looks like it would be an amazing place to sit it has a graveview of the city. Really great date night Placeā¦ and most of all the food is just about as cheap as you can find anywhere money wise that you're going to eat. I doubt you could even eat Taco Bell for the price that they charge for their delicious food. We had 4 adults and one child and with all of the Drinks and food included it still only ended up being around $75. When you want to cheap night out but also want to eat really good Mexican food this is your spot.. I would say much better than El Mason where I normally go.
Best Taco in downtown...no place beat it !
It was cheap before but I guess everything goes up, the price here also went up too.
I love their seafood soup, u can see they give u ton of seafood in there plus some potatoes and carrots.
Need Fajita was great. Only give you 3 flour tortillas, I don't think it was enough.
Ok, Iād rather not reveal this place, but canāt help it. Authentic Mexican food - birria, caldo, chile rellonos, tamarindo etc. Yes, everything tastes great - they use lard! Very bright and cheerful, quick service. Can be busy and not a huge place. Good crowd from all over, Spanish heard everywhere. Even the police like this place. Prices very reasonable - plates about $10 to $12 dollars. Abundant parking!
Food and service are excellent!
The margaritas are pre-made and if you're finicky with your margs, these are not to be ordered. If you must, order a shot of tequila on the side to offset the sweetness.
Very good down to earth food and service.
Deztiny was a great server. She was awesome.
Best tacos in Indy for price. To be fair Iāve only had tacos here and only the spicy pork tacos at that. Nonetheless, get them. They are nothing fancy but are delicious in flavor. Beautiful traditional tacos plus yummy horchata.
IMPRESSED by everything! We were genuinely greeted upon arrival at 11:30ish for lunch and seated immediately. It was soon following that the place was full. Waiting for our food to arrive while stuffing the warm chips and awesome salsa in our face, we noticed many plates with a whole fish go by us that looked delicious. We want to go back to try that (besides a number of other dishes). Also while waiting and observing, we saw a sign that they have birria tacos. I've heard so much about them, that we plan on going back to try those. Can hardly wait. Another thing, we both have never found a molƩ sauce that we like or would eat. We have asked to taste the molƩ sauce where ever we have been, even Mexico in the past with no luck. We asked for a taste here and finished the whole sample they gave us. It was so good. Again, another dish we plan on going back for soon.
Meanwhile, we got our food very promptly. Our server was very good and attentive. Our food was beautifully presented. I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas asking that the vegetables be cooked longer than normal, which they did just that. It were so flavorful and the shrimp were very flavorful, plentiful, juicy and cooked perfectly (not muchy or chewy at all). The salad plate provided plenty of delicious Pico, lettuce, flavorful guacamole and sour cream. Rice and beans were plentiful and flavorful. The tortillas were toasted, thick and warm. Very, very happy with my choice. Hubby got Chicken Enchiladas Verde and was very pleased. Portions are very healthy! The whole time, our server constantly checked back and always asked if everything was okay and kept our drinks full. We both brought home some serious leftovers.
I would like to add that the whole time we were there, the lady that was cashier, handling to go orders and helping out in general was cleaning the restaurant every second. Being in prior management, this REALLY impressed me. You just don't see this practice much any more. I also saw many employees hit the hand sanitizer more than once out front as well. Kudos to owner, management and employees. Please keep up the good work. You have a huge fan in my husband and I!
BTW...There is plenty of free on site parking.
The staff was very friendly and fostered a wonderful atmosphere. The food was unbelievable! I had the tilapia with lobster and shrimp and my wife had the carnitas. Everything was on point and stood out, even the chips and salsa. I am not typically a desert guy but the churros looked so good we had to order some to go.
We will be back!
The food is great! Good customer service. Nice atmosphere. Things I didnāt like: 1. They had a guy playing music and he came to our table and he asked us if we want him to sing for us and we said go ahead and he told us that he works for tips. We told him that we donāt have cash so he left to sing to other tables. That was kind of weird and off. 2. They have 4 tables in the middle side by side where you sit near strangers which ones again was off for me. I go out to have dinner with my husband and I donāt want to sit at a table with 7 to 10 other people I donāt know. 3. The chicken in my taco was way too salty.
Don't let looks be deceiving. Food is amazing with large portions. People are great. Service is different than what you may be used to but still very good.
The food was delicious š and it was full of taste. I would always drive by it. Now I'm going to stop in there to try new things. They were very nice people there. Best customer service I ever had from a restaurant. Thanks you guy's from the lady with the sky blue š hair.
My wife and I stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon, after a busy day of holiday shopping. I had been craving posole for a long time, and fortunately it was available the day we visited. My bowl of posole was absolutely fabulous! Probably the best I've ever had! (Besides my moms, of course!) The balance of slight heat, hominy, and pork was spot on. My wife had a steak taco, and some chips and queso, which she also enjoyed. I will definitely return for the unforgettable posole! We finished off our meal with a Mexican fried ice cream, which was also delicious!
every time i go here the food is fire.
the portions are good. they have a wide variety of selection.
the arroz con steak is clutch. they always lather it up with hella queso so š¤
theres a lot of competition for this kind of food on the east side; and while its good competiton, this ones my favorite.
they're well staffed, kind, efficent, well priced, clean - try it out.
its always buzzing and the resteraunt always seems full of people; a good sign, as the food also always tastes fresh in my experience.
