Delicious! I got an egg white omelet and it was ridiculously huge. Easily 2 full servings. Very light and fluffy. Perfect.
I used to come to this restaurant and enjoyed their amazing food as a kid! Now I’m bringing my son with me, and get to enjoy him, enjoying it as well!
I’m not a fan of sitting in a table that’s in a high traffic area, but was happy we were sat so quickly on a Saturday late morning.
The food and coffee was delicious! I had some gluten free pancakes and that’s rare when eating out!
Our visit here was outstanding. We sat outside which was a cute little area to enjoy the weather in. I had the sunrise feature and ordered the pumpkin pancakes with it. The pumpkin pancakes far exceeded my expectations! My husband had the Dave’s pigs in a blanket which were also great.
Ordered the Egg white omelet! I was shocked to see just how BIG it was! Had enough for 2 more breakfasts. It was the size of my dinner plate and about 2" inches tall. I kid you not. Delicious!
Loved the fact that there was whole wheat pancakes for me with low carb syrup available. With a bowl of berries, coconut shavings and some whipped cream I found a diabetic-friendly option. My wife had the Gluten free pancakes and she liked them. I wish I could say more about the tons of non healthy options, but I can’t. I can only say that, seems like there is plenty of sugar available for those who can still binge on it.
The food here is delicious and a little different than any of the other breakfast places in town. Have a wide variety of pancakes and waffles. The kids who work the front desk for check out can be a little unprofessional, but overall I've had a great experience every time I've gone here. The food is delicious!
I don't want to be overly critical but the hash browns tasted like they had been cooked in the same oil as the fish. Other than that, I enjoyed my breakfast.
I love The Original Pancakes House and while visiting Indianapolis went for breakfast. We were greeted and seated promptly by our very personable waitress. I noticed the entire staff worked as a team and each checking on all patrons for coffee refills or anything needed. Our food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. It was about 1/3 capacity and customers well spaced out.
Excellent breakfast choices! I especially enjoyed the baked lemon pancake. If you go there be sure to request Elizabeth! She taught me how to make my own lemon/butter/powdered sugar frosting for my lemon pancake. And, she even brought me a bowl of fresh whipped cream to top it off:-)
Awesome!!
Excellent breakfast food. Their German pancake with lemon and powdered sugar was to die for! Honestly, one of the best things to happen to my mouth ever
While on the northwest side of Indianapolis you have to stop for breakfast at The Original Pancake House! We were there before 7am and they had a lovely patio area for us to sit in. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, french toast, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and the Texas style fried potatoes. Absolutely everything was wonderfully delicious! Our server was very attentive despite the fact that it was early and we were sitting outside. He even brought us our own coffee carafe to stay warm at our table. For the people who say that the price is too high here, you get what you pay for. It's worth the price for an elegant meal and experience. The Hollandaise sauce is homemade perfectly. I was very impressed! We will definitely be back. I didn't get any pictures of the food because it disappeared very quickly but the interior and exterior shots can give you an idea of how beautiful it is.
Went in on a Monday morning. Food was hot and fresh. Dutch baby was delicious, as well as the potato pancakes
Great little local breakfast shop. Good menu, well prepared, with really attentive and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back for the Cherry crepes.
