Great tacos and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd want to go back to. The prices are a little high but the quality is worth it. Better than most Americanized Mexican restaurants.

Went here during the week.  Service was slow and they were not crowded.  We sat outside in the Tiki Bar and 3 servers walked past me without even a nod.  The margarita was average.  However the chips/salsa were fantastic.  Salsa is on the spicy side, which I like.

Favorite date night spot or place to head with friends. Their margaritas and tacos are the best. My only complaint is when I have to wait for them to bring their homemade salsas to the table, haha.

Good for drinks and snacking with friends. Like people mentioned, you must be 21 to enter as this business is mostly a drink joint with large tables! The front of the place is indoors and serves whiskey, scotch, beer, and some appetizers and tacos along with a couple of burgers. The back is an open air tiki bar where you can get all of the items served up front PLUS mixed drinks. The only down side to this setup is that if you are up front and want a mixed drink, you must go to the back to order it. This is why I gave it a 3.5, because of the strange inconvenience. Otherwise it is a great place for chatting and noshing with amigos.

Good food, service eh. The service is getting better, but they need to let people know that you don't always get a server there. My husband loves their pork tacos and I love the shrimp or veggie tacos. Guacamole is tasty as well as the queso and bean dips. I think that Revolucion's tacos are better than Bakersfield's tacos.

Hot sauce. Veggie tacos with an abundance of homemade hot sauces create a perfect Wednesday evening. Ask for the "stinger" if you feel like hot lava massaging your taste buds. Awesome joint

Nice place, especially the Tiki Bar. Very good pork tacos, good Margaritas and Tequilas. Really, one of the best joints in Fountain Square.

Food-gasm. 1. I love their cheap dollar beer
2. I love their $2 Tequila shots
3. I love that the menu is small and simple
4. I love the fish tacos, they were hands down the best fish tacos I've ever eaten in my life. And they are after my own heart because the use corn tortillas, which are the only way to go when eating a taco.
I will definitely be returning...tonight

Good Food, Bad Hours. I love the food, especially the shrimp tacos. The flavor is heavenly. What I don't like is that I've gone back there two or three more times to find them closed. They don't open until 6! What's up with that? And they're not open on Sundays and Mondays. They've lost my business several times because they were not open when I was hungry, so I went elsewhere.

Just different enough to stand out!. I'd never been here, but when invited to join some friends for dinner here, we jumped at the chance. We had high hopes for this place, and our hopes were met and (mostly) exceeded.

The tacos...we tried a variety...were excellent. Nice flavor, and a nice amount of heat.

For my entree', I had the habanero burger, and it was very, very good. It was also very, very hot...but I expected that. I WILL say, that although the flavor of the meat was quite good, the burger was done just a bit more done that I would have preferred.

I'm not a huge fan of Guacamole, but there was something just a bit different about the guac here at Revolucion. Quite tasty, and with a pleasing texture. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to order it again.

The price was moderate...we spent about 40.00 on a few dishes, so we could trade around and sample.

I WILL say that I'm NOT a big fan of having to order from the counter, however, once we were seated, the wait staff did an outstanding job of keeping our drinks refilled.

I liked it quite a lot, and look forward to going there again soon!

Taco Bar Success. This place has a good vibe, good food, and good drinks. I had the fish tacos and veggie tacos. I usually avoid vegetarian options since most are just afterthoughts and not the star items. However, I gave it a try due to the bar keep's strong recommendation, and I was extremely surprised. The fish tacos were good, but I left raving about the veggie taco. Oh yeah, the margaritas were good too. I will be back to try the other tacos and variations of their margaritas.

Great Fun. Go... simply go. A fun atmosphere which good food. The only negative I have about this place is the service - you have to go to the bar to order and get another drink. The tacos are pretty good (much better than a certain moving kitchen)...and the burgers are good too! Fun decor... great addition to Fountain Square. And the guacamole is made in-house - great fun...

Our New Hangout. My husband and I popped into Revolucion last Friday and fell in love with the place. We heard there was a tiki bar in the back - and even though the front room was very cool in what has been described at "Day of the Dead" themed - we headed straight to the Tiki bar. The bartender, Dan, had designed the tiki bar himself. You could tell he loved the place and he explained to us a little about the tiki subculture.

We ordered some drink (him - beer, me - margaritas) and started with an order of guacamole. It was super fresh (made minutes earlier) and very tasty. I could have eaten a whole cup myself though.

Then we moved on to tacos. We weren't sure how big they would be, so we ordered too many. I got pork and chicken and he got beef. They were so flipping good that we have not stopped craving those things since. I was glad we ordered too many because they were great the next day.

The crowd was great too. It is a very open but close environment outside, so it's easy to become friends with the whole bar.

I am looking forward to the time when Revolucion can be open 7 days a week. Because when I want those tacos - I want those tacos. This place should be around for a long time - but go check them out ASAP.

I'd rate a 10 out of 5 if I could. Food was great. Service was one of the best I've encountered at any restaurant, period. And atmosphere features a very cool indoors setting, an outdoor tiki bar, with a few nearby cats who hang out. That's as good as it gets folks!

I had an amazing experience at Revolucion! As a vegetarian, I tried a variety of dishes, including the veggie tacos, and black bean burger with fries - and everything was fantastic. Although I don't drink much, I couldn't resist trying their brilliant margaritas. Even just three sips were enough to throw me off, given my low tolerance. The service at Revolucion was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. Although there was a brief moment of anxiety when a cat scared everyone, it didn't detract from the overall positive experience. Overall, I highly recommend Revolucion for anyone looking for great food, delicious margaritas, and fantastic service. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, there's something for everyone at this restaurant.

This place is a really nice place and the ambiance was great as well, I will say the food was a bit mediocre, We had Nachos and Didn’t have the option of beef so we chose chicken. It was a bit unseasoned but the other toppings built the flavors from that. The Margaritas were great, the drink menu had many things I would love to try but stuck to the margaritas. The waitress seemed a bit nervous but I felt I brought them nerves out by sparking the conversation. My sister thought they might be used to black people coming in , but I didn’t feel that energy until the end. It did seem like we were rushed a Little as we were asked if we were done and still had food on the table. My husband said yes because he was feeling pushed out. WOULD I TRY AGAIN, YES I would like to see what other drinks are doing

Could be my favorite new hang! I drive by it every day, but had never been in. In fact, I thought it was just a hip cool coffee spot. Seems that it was always super busy, and I thought, " man, these Fountain Sqaure kids sure do love their americanos." No, this place is not a coffee shop, and apparently these fountain square kids love their Hawaii-Mexian fusion! I was walking through the area just doing my usual digs, and their liquor wall caught my eye from the street. I was like, "hol on, now, that's not coffee flavoring, that thar is spirits!", so I went in. Boom! From go, I'm blasted by the color arrangement of the worldly decor. I had no idea what a night I was in store for. I walk up to the bar, and Roni, one of the owners greets me. I explain that I had no idea what or where I was, and how I had no idea what they offered. She explained that this was a grand restaurant and bar. And bam, I see the draught beer list. Gaaaawd, how could I have missed such a gem for the last 2 years of being back in the area?! I ordered a Bier Brewery Dubbel, and chilled and took pics, as a single hip cool dude does. I talked w some of the servers, didnt get any names, cause you know that's creepy to ask names. They were doing their thing, I was doing the vibe thing. Got a chance to talk to one of the other owners, Tufty. I got the run down of the history and core values of the place. Place is pure lit. I was given a tour of the other seating locations of the restuarant, and the rest of the luminous decor. I then spent more time being delighted w tales of ol, and plans for the future w them. A grand night had by me. But I didnt est anything, because I think I had eaten just before. Who cares, gave me another reason to come back. Round 2: bite! I purposely went back a day ago just to order some food, and take a pic so I could post all my pics and this review. I walked up, and I didnt see any lights on, but the hours on the door said they were open. Always try the door! Opened the door, but no one was there, and the owner explained that the back was the seating of the evening. Well that's cool, I thought. I cant remember a place where a section of the building was closed, yet another was. The back half was more of a Hawaiian theme, while the front was more Mexican. I over heard the server tell a couple who had come in w me that the house Margarita was $5, so when she asked me, that's what o ordered. Who is never in a mood for a margarita? No this guy! As I wait for my drink,I looked over the food menu. Quite a selection! I ordered the pork tacos, but not the Hawaiian pork tacos, cause they were out. And these tacos were heavenly. They had house made hot sauces, and they added the bite I hoped for. As I enjoyed my margarita and pork tacos, I blissfully enjoyed the jamaican music that bumped on the stereo. W delight, I was treated w a rendition of " Take Five" from King Tubby, a dub legend. All the servers as super fun and inviting. Food is amazing, owners are hands on, and drinks are always flowing! Highly suggest this delicatessen! When in fountain square make sure to visit Revolucion restaurant and bar. I'll see y'all thar!

The staff are courteous and attentive. The poutine is our favorite dish and the drinks are the best. I would recommend the spicy margarita. All this provides a great atmosphere and I will recommend everyone to stop by.

Rev is maybe my favorite bar+food place in Indy. Is it the best tacos? No. Is it the best Tiki? Also no. Still my favorite. The place is chill AF, great tiki bar and patio area, and I love the kalahu pork tacos to death, plus chicharrones, uh yes please. Excellent staff, top notch, always friendly and always great. Lets talk Tiki for a second - first, they have a blender. Ok snobs, line up, Trader Vic didn't like a blender - well it was 1934, blenders change, get modern. You want a technical tiki that tastes like 3 kinds of sour but is legit 1930s Oakland California? I can suggest some places, I know the rules, whatever - but this place, Rev, they have cool smooth tikis that are balanced and damn tasty and damn boozy, and friends, that is all this guy needs. Well, and the chicharrones.

Expansive bar in the front with plenty of seating and space with good Mexican style food and home made hot sauces. (Try the Pink Death!). And in the back a tiki bar vibe with outdoor seating in the summer. Service was quick and drinks and beer were moderately priced.

Yea there are plenty of other tequila bars and mexican restaurants around town but the quality is what separates Revolucion from all the other places. All their food is prepared with high standards and the drinks are mixed so smoothly. I highly recommend getting the nachos. Its enough for two people and obviously looks as delicious as it tastes.

Karissa was the BEST server I've ever had. We were here for a wedding reception and she had at least 60 of us, on top of other guests to help. She absolutely NAILED IT as a server and a human. Even though anyone would be overwhelmed with that many guests, she took care of everyone with a friendly smile. She never seemed frustrated or over the amount of customers, and she was fun and enjoyable to talk to. Could not have been happier. This girl is going places, make sure you don't get left behind!!

The decor alone is worth the visit! It's like an art gallery with great drinks, super yummy foods and an exceptionally friendly staff. If tequila is your jam, they've got your covered like no others (did that rhyme?). Bring friends and order the macho nachos / guacamole to share. Be sure to ask for a couple of their various hot sauces. In short, ya just can't go wrong here. Cheers!!

Major error on my part! Open for business, in back Tiki bar! Great music, Larry Laaieburger, great burger to bun ratio, toppings lasted to last bite. Crispy fried, Thanks Kim for telling me about this place! Will be back with others!
