I just got back from breakfast here. I was going to write about it for the blog but I thought;since I was solo I would make it a review. Small place but well run with very good service even with it being so busy.
The biggest thing that drew me here was the chipped beef they offer for less than $5. And you can get it on toast or biscuit. I know SOS is almost a punchline but I enjoy it,and so few places offer it. Much to my delight they had a Sunrise combo for $6.25. For that you get a half order with 2 eggs, your choice and bacon or sausage. I ordered biscuits, over easy eggs and sausage links.  The eggs were beautifully done and the gravy was quite tasty. Not the best but tasty none the less. Of course I would have like more and bigger hunks of beef but for 6 bucks it was fine. I really enjoyed the sausage they use as well. I was quite satisfied with my breakfast. Real good and real fast.

Good breakfast but...... ..... Their lunch offerings need work. If you go here stick to breakfast foods.

Worth a try. It's hard to find a place you can get breakfast without waiting forever. Today I got a table right away, crunchy hash browns, great service, and an affordable bill. The other two people I was with enjoyed the hotcakes, omelet, and hash browns. Give it a try.

My hubby ordered the country fried steak and eggs with pancakes. He loved the gravy and said his eggs were perfect. I tried the pancakes and they were so fluffy. I ordered the loaded croissant with bacon. The croissant was flaky and delicious. The best I've ever had, actually. I got a side of sausage gravy for my hashbrowns, and I'm glad I did because I ordered those crispy and they weren't. My one year old got the kids egg breakfast and he loved it. Overall we thought it was great. We will be back!

Just Like Flapjacks. I love trying new places, so I don't regret trying this place. If anything I was able to ride my motorcycle for a good 20 minute ride to get here. I thought this place would be different but it is just like Flapjacks. From the syrup and creamers on the table, to the murals on the walls (the exact same that is on the wall of the Flapjacks in Bargersville) right down to the menu. The same. I *think* this place has 3-4 more dressed up pancakes. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy that they said is made from scratch daily. Pretty tasty, not the best gravy to be found by her tastebuds. I ordered the Country Egg breakfast which was 2 eggs any style, served with choice of meat, 2 pancakes, and choice of toast, grits, or fresh fruit. For a $1.75 upcharge I upgraded my pancakes to the strawberry cheesecake kind. Their pancakes were very fluffy and large and the toppings were awesome. It made them very delicious. One thing I did notice is that they didn't cut very well. It could've been from the very cheap fork they provided or that maybe the pancakes had been sitting a while. I hope they weren't sitting because we were the only ones in there at the time our food was being prepared. Without the strawberry cheesecake topping, the pancakes would've been a flop. My eggs were cooked perfectly and my bacon, which I requested to be very limp and without crispiness, was also cooked exactly to my liking! One thing I found interesting was that the fresh fruit I chose as a side with my meal had fresh strawberries in it, however the ones on my pancakes were obviously not fresh. At least I know that if I am in the area, this place has good breakfast, but I'll be sticking with Flapjacks since they're the same and Flapjacks is closest to me.

Stopped in before our long drive back to Alabama. The waitress was awesome especially considering we had a party of 14 and a baby. Good selection of food but for those looking for healthy options I didn't see any egg whites or turkey sausage or turkey bacon. Other than that was a very good breakfast experience.

We recently dined at the Hotcakes, and I must say, it was an absolute treat. The French toast was a standout. Despite the bustling crowd, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, making sure our dining experience was nothing short of delightful. The place was busy for a reason - the food is exceptional!

I had the best and the most delicious omelette at Hotcakes. The service was just a little bit slow. The hashbrowns could have been a little letter. But the food was good l in all. Parking is readily available. Will be going back

Service was excellent I like when a restaurant works together to bring coffee even if it's not their table. I had a Western skillet eggs over medium which were perfect. My server was very nice and my breakfast was just the right size no waste. I wish I lived closer

This is a great little restaurant very close to Indianapolis. The food was great and the service was very good too. The restaurant is very easy to get in and out of. The property was very clean. You definitely need to try their pancakes. The also have some of the southern favorites like grits. The coffee is also good.

Can't go wrong with Jesse as your waitress. She is simply Very Good at her job. Appreciate that for sure. Likeable as well. Thanks Jesse. As for my meal: I came in here because the name of the restaurant claimed a respect for the almighty Pancake. With Jesse's suggestion I ordered the Hungry Man Skillet with Pancakes. Everything came out hot and as expected. The pancakes were light and fluffy, wonderful taste and they didn't soak up the syrup like lesser restaurants pancakes do. I was impressed. Store was clean, staff friendly, and they did breakfast just like someplace that named themselves "Hotcakes Emporium Pancake House Restaurant" ...should! :-)

We arrived, greeted and seated immediately. Once we placed our order it took 25 min for food to come out. Food was outstanding! Place was clean and staff was friendly! Prices was great... tons of food for reasonable pricing.

You must try this place. You will come back for sure. My Mom lives for Saturday mornings at Hotcakes for when, at least, 6 of the family shows up. The waitress askes if we want our usual while she is already writing down our orders. They are consistent with their service along with the quality of the food.

First time diners. Group of 6. No wait at 10am on a Sunday, although they were busy. Very attentive waitress (who was very polite and sweet). Very little wait on food. Hot and fresh. Best grilled cheese I've had at restaurant. Consistent refills on drinks. Will be going back for sure!

Food is always great. I love the pancakes here. The hosts seemed a bit more interested in their conversation vs getting us a table, but the food was fantastic and that's all that matters.

I arrived kinda close to closing time, but that didn't matter to them. Staff was very friendly, never rushed me to order. Food was fabulous. I had a delicious waffle with blueberries! Highly recommend this restaurant!

I tried this place out today. I am moving to Murphys landing next door. The food was good, the waitress made every effort to make sure my coffee cup was full. There are vaulted ceilings and it was very loud. However, I cant let that effect my review. They took care of me and the food is decent.
