This is how Chines Restaurants used to be... like stepping into another world.
Atmosphere: absolutely exquisite! So many lovely details you feel like you're in Asia!
Food: Husband had General Tso. It was spicy and sweet with crispy chicken and served with white or fried rice.
I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the sauce had a rich, smokey flavor.
We both had hot and sour soup served with crispy rice noodles. The hot and sour soup was rich and flavorful with fresh spring onions.
Service: Our server was helpful, friendly and attentive. Each staff person we encountered was helpful and friendly. (And each person could communicate well in English.)
This place is a must for great Chinese food at affordable price.
The new Lotus Garden is different but yet the same.
Lotus has a new Chef, from China Town in Chicago. Loved the old Lotus Garden and our first experience at the new Lotus was also excellent.
Our Server was Joe. Joe has been & still is great. Joe remembered what both my wife and I ordered most frequently at the old location. Joe works Friday, Saturday & Sunday only.
The soups, hot & sour and the wonton are different but still very good.
I had the Sheziuan Chicken, medium spicy & my wife had the Sheziuan Shrimp, light on the spices. Both were excellent, cooked and just right on the amount of heat & spices.
Nicely decorated, clean several separate rooms and areas. Rest rooms were clean as well.
Service was great as always with Joe.
We will definitely be returning to the new Lotus Garden.
Fried rice is fresh, hot, juicy,& flavorful, it's worth a 30 mile trip to scoop this up at least 3 times a month,my favorite Chinese,no contest!
This place is so underrated. The orange chicken wasn't too sweet and they use very fresh chicken, unlike pretty much every Chinese food restaurant. They're among the top 5 Chinese restaurants in Indianapolis.
This place was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is delicious and fairly priced for the portions, and the service was top notch! I highly recommend this restaurant!
We had sweet sour chicken and egg rolls. Both were wonderful and the sweet sour sauce was the exact sauce I had at the original restaurant on North Keystone and 37 60 years ago! i will be going back!
I've only been in there once, but I'll definitely be back. I had the eggplant with garlic sauce, absolutely delicious. I had to ask the waiter to repeat himself a few times, but I guess that's what you get when you go for authentic.
Great food and place! I recommend it!
This was our first time but it was so delicious! We tried lots of different menu items and everything was good! Staff was helpful and friendly!
I love this place. It's been the same forever and the staff is like next level nice. The drinks here are fantastic and very cheap. I recommend it to all friends, family, and associates. The food is good and very reasonably priced. It's hard to have a bad time here. They make you feel appreciated and can be very talkative. I go here just about two times a month and enjoy seeing all the people there. This is a must visit place in Greenwood.
Great Chinese food been going there since 1965 even this new location is good. Miss the old location but all things change sooner or later. Just happy they did not shut down for good.
The food is truly authentic. The egg rolls are the best we've ever tasted. There were several menu options we love, that are tough to find elsewhere, such as steamed fish with ginger; as well as duck. My husband said he asked for spicy and it was really spicy, just perfect. Yes, we look forward to returning again and again.
