We used to come here when we wanted the taste of barbecue because there was no other place that came close in tastiness. The meat would be a little tough, but it was tolerable. Today we went and the meat was tender and tasty. There was some kind of change and whatever they did...Continue, please. They have great chicken links and now, today, we love the pork ribs also. Today was a good day!

Great barbecue and side orders. I enjoyed the ribs, potato salad and baked beans!

This spot has awesome service and delightful menu. My favourite place ever. The drinks and food arrived quick and the rates are reasonable. Will definitely recommend this place.

Drove all the way down from Calabasas to get some BBQ only to find out they are not taking walk in orders. They have no website to inform customers of their adapted ordering choices. If you dont live locally dont waste your time driving down there. Go to Woodranch instead. They are always professional unlike Phillip's. Wait I went to this place called The Wood in Inglewood. They are amazing. Walked in and was able to order food. If you come out the valley for BBQ go there instead of phillips

Phillip's is a staple for BBQ in LA. If you haven't already been, you need to go! The sauce is always great and their desserts from Ruby's are incredible too!

Came on saturday around 2. Lady taking my order was nice.
Got the soul special, pork ribs, baked beans, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. I personally didnt enjoy the seasoning, weird in between where it needed less vinegar or more. The ribs weren't bad. Cornbread was dry as sand. Mac was also dry with hardened cheese on top. Beans tasted fine.
Small parking lot at the front but the block had parking spaces open.
