We feel behind the times because tonight was the first time we've tried La Regia and we have been MISSING OUT! The food was so delicious. We had the Enchiladas Suizas and tacos (chorizo, carne asada, and al pastor) All of which was seasoned so well, cooked perfectly, and came out hot and fast. I wish they made a house margarita rather than one from a mix, but the food is so good it's not a deal breaker.
Exceptional local restaurant serving incredible and authentic Mexican food. I'm no expert in the regional cuisine of Mexico, but what they do here, they do right. Meats are tender and flavorful, tacos are fresh, there's nothing I've found in the Midwest that comes close.

Amazing!!! My husband is extremely picky and only likes authentic Mexican food. This is hands down THE BEST authentic Mexican cuisine in Iowa City. The staff are friendly and efficient. The prices are good too. The place is clean and the little store next door is great.

The food is amazing. The service when sitting down isn't very good. The price per taco is kind of high. But I still come back when I am in the area.
