I love this place! I love the food and the prices. I've gone twice and the first server I had was great. He was able to explain things on the menu, kept up with the refills, and refilled the chips and salsa without us asking. I appreciate that. The second time I went, the server was okay. We waited awhile for her to come to our table. They are still new so I understand they are working out the kinks.
I'd recommend trying this place out and giving it a chance!

Highly recommend the mushroom quesadilla. Service was great. Staff were great. Booths big and bathroom was spotless.
Really good food service was awesome salsa was mild but once I ask for a hotter version I was not disappointed of course I had to have at least a shot of tequila well worth it
Consistently amazing food and service. If you have not experienced Los Agaves, I recommend it.

Food was great. Had the steak and shrimp and the steak melted in your mouth...so good! Didn't get to try the drinks but we'll be back again.
Such a wonderful dining experience last evening! A clergy friend of mine was back in Iowa City for the weekend, I suggested Los Agaves for dinner since Father had not been there yet. Alex was our server and we hit the jackpot - so very kind and polite, Father so enjoyed visiting with him. The food was delicious, as always - we will be back soon!
Nice new building. Was a 20 minute wait for a table but well worth it. Great food, big portions, good prices. Will certainly eat there again.
Friday night was our first time but definitely not our last time to eat there. Service was great! We love how spacious it is there. Other places squeeze too many tables into a small area. Food was delicious! A special thanks to Maggie for explaining the meaning of Los Agaves. We learned a lot. We will be back!
Great service and food in a cool atmosphere. I had the fajitas which were delicious and my lady had the enchiladas Mexicanas, which is her new favorite.

Delicious food and daiquiris. Serve chips and salsa right away fresh. Food is delicious and will come back again. By the way their French fries were so good.

We were given chips and a very good salsa minutes after we were seated. Our food arrived with perfect timing as we were able to visit for while enjoying some appraisers.Our meals were prepared perfectly and our waiter was right there when we needed him. We were celebrating a birthday and they surprised us with a song and sombreros. Hope to go back soon.
First time visit and I am sold! Great service, excellent selection, wonderful food and reasonable prices. Plenty of space and great atmosphere. Will be back!
