Very friendly staff nice comfortable local place. Wide selection of beverages good size menu had the grilled chicken sandwich my wife had a cheeseburger both were delicious I would definitely recommend stopping there for lunch. They have nightly music we did not have the opportunity to stay we just went for lunch but would definitely go back. We were from out of town they treated as great.

Stopped by for a late lunch. The server was excellent - attentive and friendly but not annoying. The food was also really good. I had the portabella pesto wrap, and my mother had the Reuben. We were both highly satisfied. Will definitely be back.

The Iowa waltz pizza is to die for. I highly recommend it!! Loved how it had the homemade thin crust, the granny smith apples, honey, walnuts, asigao, mozzarella, bacon, and Bleu cheese. I loved the atmosphere, the outside dining area, and service was decent.

I first came to The Mill as a "destination venue" - happily driving the 4.5 hours from Chicago for an Andy White concert. As a previous venue owner, I recognized the quality of sound, atmosphere, history and vibe that makes a place a better place to hear a great performer. The Mill is a treasure in my life, and should be in yours too!

I often refer to The Mill as the heart of Iowa City. Great food, friendly service, and nice selection of beers and cocktails. Bluegrass music every Wednesday and terrific national and local acts on the reg. Do it!

We always enjoy The Mill. We sat outside last eve, and it was great. It is quieter than inside, but they pipe descent music out there, so there is a good vibe. Service is always very good. Prices are reasonable and the menus has lots of good options. The spinach artichoke dip is delicious. Has a spicy kick, which is a nice change for artichoke dip. They provide lots of chips to accompany. Lots of good beers to choose from, too. The Mill has a nice, old campus vibe--just what you'd like to find on a Big Ten campus.

The Mill is one of the truly great places to enjoy good conversation, food, and excellent music. We came from Florida to perform at the Mill, and it was a great experience! Loved the staff and patrons attending the show...

Our favorite place in town. The food is amazing. The setting is the perfect “hometown feel” in a big town. The service is great, we’ve never been disappointed and have been going here for years! Be sure to check out Pub Quiz on Sundays, which are also 2 for 1 pizza night. Besides the restaurant, there’s a great music space in the back for concerts and fundraisers- and they bring in a lot of amazing artists.

I go here frequently for lunch since they have a reduced price "on-the-go" (you have to dine in) menu from 11-3, and the service really is pretty fast. Portions are quite generous. When I went for dinner, it was on the weekend and we had no idea it would be karaoke night since it's listed as being on Tuesdays...unwelcome surprise. Dinner service was also very slow, but I was there to socialize, so it wasn't much skin off my back. Nice drinks, though.

Great food. Lovely staff. It is a bit dirty and the board games are too old. For example the chess pieces are lost and you can see a spider web on the wall. However, it has an antique and cozy atmosphere. :) I enjoy going there.

The food is amazing and you get it really fast, especially for lunch. Great prices and a much bigger selection than most places. Very cozy inside. Staff makes you feel welcome. Outside patio area is really nice when the weather is good and they have a large staging area and another large bar in the back where live music events happen all the time. Overall its great place to eat or hang out whether you live in Iowa City or just visiting. A+
