The second you bite into your sandwich you can definitely tell you are not at a chain sub shop!!! What a great atmosphere and great food made fresh daily! I highly recommend the Lu's club!! You have a new regular customer.��
Awesome new deli! I had the Roast Beef Sub, Original Penne Pasta and a Peanut Butter Cookie that melted in my mouth. The sub was fabulous, fresh bread, meat was very tasty, definitely premium meat, the Pasta Salad was delicious! Definitely will be going back, a lot! Great location and the decor is really cool! Tried this place on friday and it was the best ever! The carrott cake was amazeing and so was the soup I will for sure be back. The two ladies there working were very nice and helpful. Very cute place as well

We love it here! You’ve seen me more times then we can count.. maybe even just this week �. The classic deli is a thing of the past and we love that you’ve brought it back with a hip vibe! Tuna salad is my go-to!
We loves Lu's! Delicious soups, sandwiches, and salads and the staff is always wonderful and helpful and they keep the place spotless!

This deli was so amazing!!! my sandwich was delicious, and the desert was even better! I got a side pasta salad and that also was AMAZING!!! I will def be back and recommend to everyone!!!
This is a nice little place where its real easy to get a quick bite. The staff is super friendly and the sandwiches are good. Today I got the pasta sampler plate and though I wasn't a huge fan of the penne, it was good and filling. My favorite pasta that I recommend is the 1010 pasta!
Nice people and an interesting environment for a deli. My sandwich was good, but nothing too amazing. I'd definitely return when in the area (wish I worked closer). Having DonutLand donuts available is a pretty awesome plus.
Nifty little hometown style deli with great sandwiches and even better service! I had the #7 (Italian style) sandwich and a bowl of chili.
The sandwich was good, their dill dressing was fabulous, and the chilli had good flavor. I'm sometimes disappointed by deli chilli because it tends to lack even a trace of spice, but this was quite tasty!
This won't be an everyday place for me, but it has earned a spot in my lunch rotation!

3rd Street Newbo isn't like other streets in Iowa. It’s undergoing a trans-formative gentrification condo-ification. Which means, unlike most everywhere else in this un-changing city, it’s more or less d y n a m i c. Unpretentious in it's fare, honest in it's offerings, surprisingly magnificent Lu's Deli is able to still draw a steady, hyper-local crowd. This quaint, luxurious, authentic, space is a stark contrast from the faux-business hustle of other coffee-delicatessen shops.
With it's throne-like metal bar stools comfortable responsible layout and it's claim as the go-to, donut-deli, this comparatively low-key spot is big news around here. They've taken the time to import national treasures for employee's, (the Sunday donut consigliere Maggie is of great note)
A neighborhood restaurant befitting its neighborhood, somehow shining past it's pizza-slinging neighbors this place is worth going back to over and over again. The highest recommendations to those of us who want an honest cup of coffee, a donut hole, and the friendliest of smiles this side of the Mississippi, 5/5, try this place.
Small, clean and cute place to eat. Ingredients taste fresh and dill the dill spread was creamy and delicious. The chili is pretty good too!!
