Reviews Marco's Grilled Cheese

My husband ordered the Cuban Sandwich and I ordered an Italian Roast Beef on gluten free bread with tomato bisque soup on the side. Honestly, the food was incredibly delicious and cooked perfectly. However, the serving portions were rather small for the cost and the presentation was missing a garnish of some sort. Of course, none of the prices will break the bank and this place is definitely worth trying.

Despite living in Iowa City for over half a decade, I only recently tried Marco's for the first time. Carryout service speed was par, I had my food within about 10 minutes of ordering. The grilled PB&J must have been put on the same time as the rest of my order, because it was lukewarm when I got home with it. The regular grilled cheese was okay. It was just that- a grilled cheese, and only that, which was a bit disappointing for $5.50. The entirety of the rest of the menu, however, appeared delicious, creative, and diverse. The venue's decades-spanning history is "baked" into its selection. The "Ultimate" was great, I crave one every time I drive by Market & Linn and see the Marco's sign down the road. The location itself was acceptably clean. There were maybe six other patrons in the restaurant, although this was on one of Iowa City's much tamer and frigidly cold Saturday evenings. I imagine this place gets packed on busier nights, as it's not exactly spacious.

Visited their food cart at the Arts Festival. They made a delicious grilled cheese for me but with some crunchy Cheetos on it. Called a Mo’cheese. Was really nice to me and I tipped them well

Great grilled cheese and tomato soup! I really liked the mushroom and swiss.
