I dined here w a friend. We started off with bruschetta and it was yummy. Our main course was wonderful; I had the ravioli and she had an angel hair pasta dish. Then ended dinner w tiramisu. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very nice, and the wait staff was outstanding. Great place!! You won't be disappointed!
This place is our "go to" restaurant. Great service! Our server, Emanuel, is so warm and friendly. We always ask to sit in his station. The food is flavorful and innovative. We try not to go out to eat too much, but when we do, we like to go here since it's food we can't make ourselves.
Nice evening out. My son and daughter-in-law both had their usual Pennoni Alla Vodka and I enjoyed the Spaghetti Con Polettine. The food was delicious and the service on point. Always a pleasure to eat here!

Wonderful dinner and fantastic service. I had the server order for me. He brought me sole and it was outstanding! Will visit again next time I am in town.
I wrote a review on Open Table We had a wonderful experience great Service great food. Our waiter was there just enough making sure he didn't disturb us. The drinks we had we replenished as needed. The atmosphere was a nice hum nothing to loud no one was cramped into the next table either. We sat close to the open kitchen nice place to be far away from the front door no breeze it was very comfortable. Look forward to our next dinner there.

Food was amazing! Salmon cooked perfectly and the sauce complemented the meal very well.
Service was excellent and very personable.

My cousin took me here for my birthday, everything we ordered was phenomenal delicious, our server was attentive and I got a free chocolate ice cream 🍨 for my birthday, it was really thoughtful. I can’t wait to be back and try other entrees.

The food was fabulous. Staff members pleasantly catered to our every need. When you arrive stop in the valet parking area. They take care of parking your car.
We enjoyed a very special dinner date last night at Il Fornaio, Irvine. We originally intended to order takeout, but when Marcello (managing partner) heard about our special situation, he and the staff made accommodations and took good care of us. We sincerely appreciate the clear professionalism and excellent customer care, not to mention the delicious food. (The burrata and prosciutto appetizer disappeared too quickly to snap a photo.) Il Fornaio will easily be our first choice when we're in the area in the future.

A little overrated. Affordable prices, very good pizza, but don't order a special.
I went on a weekday for dinner and it was very slow.
I ordered the risotto listed as a special of the day and... well, it wasn't risotto and the entire dish was mainly one flavor.
I expected more overall, because you can see that the food is made fresh (you can see the chefs making pizza and you can see rotisserie chicken being made.
We weren't offered bread, but ended up asking for some right before our food came out. Bread was great, wasn't warm like others have described, but still delicious with the oil and balsamic.
For the "risotto" they really should have placed the chicken on top and seasoned it differently than the rice instead of mixing it all together. There was a sauce underneath with the same flavor that was present throughout (mushroom). I mean... it was okay but not what I was expecting for being advertised as a special. It really just seemed like ingredients they were trying to clean out of the kitchen, without a lot of thought.
My boyfriend ordered the pizza, which was fantastic and really the only reason for the 4 star rating.
If you go here, definitely order the pizza. It's the closest to an authentic Italian flavor I've experienced outside of Italy (and I've spent a lot of time there).
The weird thing was this part. My boyfriend doesn't eat pork so he asked about one of the ingredients being pork and the server confidently told him "yeah it IS a type of pork". But I Googled it and sure enough... cheese. Not pork. It didn't bother me that he didn't know, but just that he pretended to know instead of just asking someone.

The staff is very easy-going and friendly as much as their guests. Easy to talk to other people, especially if you will sit at the bar.

Came here early for drinks before dinner and really enjoyed their cocktails. I got the Stars of Michelangelo and it was delicious but sweet so if you don’t like sweet don’t order that one. I highly enjoyed the Vodka pasta and the Margarita pizza. Overall very satisfied with the food here.
Just had an event here for my job, and I want to personally thank our servers, Venezia, Elmer, and Hugo for providing excellent service. They were very attentive to all our guests, and were more than happy to answer all my inquiries, and provide needed assistance. I am a server myself, and I truly hope they get the recognition they deserve for providing such pleasurable and memorable service. Thanks again, and I can't wait to come here with my friends and family!
Good quality ingredients but it doesn’t hold up well on delivery and I can’t blame them for that. Eat it there if you can because my pasta became over cooked from sitting in the container. The seafood pasta dish I ordered was really good even delivered.

Wow high end Italian at its best! I tried to go to Boss cat and they were closed for a party. Ended up here. Wonderfull fresh pasta, salad and steaming hot freshly baked bread. Awesome atmosphere and server was very nice and proper! Be prepared to pay, but worth it!!!
It's our go-to spot for work lunches and it is so perfect.
The bread is always warm and perfectly done. Its not too seasoned, not too crunchy, not too chewy!

Landed mid afternoon at LAX on Thanksgiving. So went to Il Fornaio for an early dinner. The food and service were excellent. Highest recommendation for a special (or any) occasion. Great atmosphere. We'll make Il Fornaio a Thanksgiving tradition and meet friends there next time!!
Excellent restaurant. Parking availability is virtually unlimited for dinner hours, in the adjacent parking structure with about a 3-minute walk (be sure to validate your stub, but the wait staff will remind you). Valet spots are limited, but I believe a 4 hour period is validated by the restaurant.
The food was excellent, and the wait staff was funny and attentive. If you happen to dine there for your birthday, you get a treat and a song!
The men's restrooms are clean and modern. The dishes are a bit pricey, but worth it. I will visit again!
I would say 4.5 as shown is accurate. Could be rated slightly higher. Food is 9/10 easy. Prices are a little higher than the quality and quantity they represent. Other than that, great service and good. The manager Marcello, is a big part of all that!

Probably the best Italian food I have had in a long time. Great restaurant with good service and excellent food. Time from ordering to arrival of foos was short. Everything was delicious and service was friendly and efficient.
