Taiko - Irvine - Photo album

Cute place! Really good food. I’m just sad that my favorite roll of spicy tuna 🍣 tasted a little strange, not like the normal ones at other places. I couldn’t really pin point what was weird about it though. 🤔But everything else was amazing and the food came out fast. 👌
Solid spot for a nice Japanese meal. The chicken teriyaki is well cooked, their niku udon is warm and has good flavor. Personally have tried better sushi elsewhere but still a good spot.
Taiko Sushi offers a delightful culinary experience, especially when it comes to their California hand roll. The explosion of flavor and the fresh, high-quality ingredients truly stand out, making each bite an absolute delight. However, it's worth mentioning that their prices have seen an increase
Very good food, very attentive service. A place you have to try. I will be back without a doubt.
We had the sushi here, including one of the special rolls. The food was seriously fantastic. The service was also good. But the dining area could really use a renovation. I would definitely go back for take out.
Taiko has always been in Irvine for as long as I've known, like a loyal friend. Offering decent and filling meals but lacking any standouts that would make it great.
It is one of our favorite authentic Japanese place. Service is excellent & the food is amazing.
The sushi was really good, up there with the other good sushi places around Irvine, and the service was very friendly as well. Unfortunately the decor is so aged and the interior so in need of a renovation that it detracts from the experience. Next time I will take my meal to go unless they renovate
This was a pretty nice spot for some Japanese food. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The food is brought very quickly as well, and tastes very good. The dine-in entrance is in the back, which is a little weird. Tamago rolls were amazing here, one of the best we tried. They have plastic utensi
Super nice staff and very quickly receive order. Cute authentic place, lots of locals and Japanese here so I’m guessing they know good sushi! Large pieces of sashimi and giant rolls but just not much flavor... like it was previously frozen. Teriyaki chicken bowl was massive. Definitely will had lef
Their sushi table is back open! Love taiko. They have big sashimi. Thicker than most other Japanese restaurants. It's like taking a bite out of a steak. Try the California rolls. The best around here.
They are hiding! The place that we entered is in the back. It’s tricky, but they’re pretty organized to seperate between to go and dine in. The food was delicious and the server pretty quick and clean. We can feel the ambience almost the same like in Japan. It’s just too bad they don’t have happy ho
Didn’t try any sushi as we only ordered Udon. Well priced and delicious. We were also given miso soup before our food arrived, it was very good especially with the cool weather. Customer service was good despite it being full. Nice atmosphere as well. Would come here again.
Ordered the spicy tuna roll, dynamite roll, volcano roll all hand cut and requested for tamago sashimi. Definitely recommend to join Yelp waitlist. The staff was so nice though and very accommodating. They also give complimentary miso soup. Definitely one of the best sushi places in Irvine. So delic
