BBQ chain restaurant good for big groups. They don’t take reservations and it was about a half an hour wait to be seated (we were there around 7 on a Friday). There’s indoor and outdoor dining. There’s plentiful parking in the shared lot. Credit cards are accepted. They have paper pig crowns for the kids (and those young at heart). Stalled bathrooms are available in the back where the patio entrance is.
For the four of us, we got a sampler platter and famous feast along with one hot link to try. That was more than enough food, and we had leftovers good for one person’s meal. The catfish from the sampler platter was well seasoned and the rib tips were also good. From the famous feast, the chicken was the surprise winner of the basket, as it was moist and very flavorful, which was a sharp contrast to other, dryer chickens we’ve had at other BBQ places. Note that it comes with only 2 corn muffins but they’re large and I’d suggest halving them.
Overall, it’s a family friendly spot to eat a hefty meal
Really bad service. The food - BBQ - came out semi cold. No BBQ sauce came on the super thinly sliced brisket (in a BBQ based restaurant!). We asked for some BBQ sauce, which was brought over about 30 minutes after. FYI, our server walked by us at least five times after we asked for the sauce. And, there were may be six tables in the whole restaurant (it was before 4pm on Friday). The meat was about five thin slices, bacon size in width, laid on a piece of white toast, with no flavor. The chicken was the better of the two. Cornbread 🧁 was cold >>> super 🥶 🧊 ☃️ 🧥 ❄.
Update:
So, we received a complimentary meal from the restaurant management after our initial visit. The second time was much better. The brisket was much better, cut to about 1/4 an inch. Service was amazing, and the place was clean.
BBQ meal for two was our dinner for last day of 2021. Pretty impressed with selection of food items in this package: 4 pieces of corn on cob, bbq chicken, 2 sliced of sandwich bread, brisket, sticky fall off the bone ribs, side of macaroni and mashed garlic potatoes with corn bread. Wow, ran out of breath.
The only con I can think of was the macaroni. Everything else was delicious and hot when delivered.
I highly recommend ordering the big slab. The ribs were delicious and didn’t disappoint. The brisket was also very flavorful and it was great they’re back open for dine-in.
The moment you walk the atmosphere is great!! The smell off bbq in the air is amazing!! Our server was great! We came on a weekday for lunch. Wasn't busy at all. Love the variety of BBQ sauces to try from. I had the Rib Tips which were good just a little dry for my taste.
Food was pretty good very cool place to hang out and grab a quick bit or two ta eat.
Famous Dave's BBQ should be packed all day long as everything is delicious. The sweet 🌽 corn 🍞 bread is served warm and just right. You could fill up on the corn bread but save room for some BBQ ribs, tri-tip, and chicken. We did have appetizers of shrimp and fries as we were waiting for our guests. The picture is what we saved to share so I texted them the picture to entice them to get here already. The music 🎶 🎵 👌 was quite enjoyable and at a volume that allowed for conversation. If you enjoy a little blues and old school rock & roll you will like it too.
In addition the service was spot on. 👌 Now, go get some Famous Dave's BBQ!
I had lunch at this location once. Nice fast server and staff, good efficient manager. My lunch was very filling. Highly recommended :)
Hello this is Xxsloth_teamxX and this BBQ restaurant was awesome.
Food test was great and the service was good.
I recommend this place for the pork ribs and the corn 🌽 and the mix plate for the family meal.
I love BBQ. The ribs were great but I thought that the food was a bit pricey for what you get. Nachos are no joke.
I liked it it has good food great bbq sause..but there pricey I spend $220.00 😱.. it feed a party of 9 adults and 2 children one serving per each so to get 5 🌟 you have got too make bigger portions especially for $220.00 🤔 we could have atleast been available to get seconds 🤷♂️ ....
Still good barbecue and cold beer. I think $4 pints for happy hour from 3-6 and the staff was friendly.
Ask your waiter about the pick-2-meat combo (not on the menu) and enjoy the best brisket in California.
