There's a wait and you pay before you sit down. Other than that, parking is easy to find, food is great and filling. The potatoes are DELICIOUS. My sister got the loco moco (forgot to take pic) and it introduced us to a whole new world of food. Would come back here!!

Strawberry crepe: not recommended. Strawberry syrup/puree tastes too sweet and artificial. Blueberry pancakes: great! Soft and fluffy Omelet: great! (can't remember which it was) Nice workers. It's in the middle of a shopping center so ambiance is nothing special. We went around 10:30 am on a weekday and about half the tables were taken.

Got there before 10am to beat the rush. Great brunch food. Pancakes were delicious with little macadamia nuts. The captain Mac nut French toast was delicious. I really liked the Sante fe scramble although the potatoes couldā€™ve been done better. If they cut them into smaller pieces and made them crispier, that wouldā€™ve done the truck. They were too dry and too large and not enough external flavor. Eggs Benedict were ok. Not sure Iā€™d get it again but not bad. I saw several people eating the loco moco. Iā€™ll probably try that next time.

Stacks serves casual breakfast or brunch food with Aloha vibes. The menu is diverse, ranging from pancakes to classic Hawaiian plates like Loco Moco and Kalua Pig. Some highlights: Loco Moco - having lived in Hawaii, this is my favorite local dish, and they do it pretty well. My only gripe is that the patty usually comes out overcooked. The fried rice as a base elevates this dish to the next level. Corned Beef Hash - minced corned beef and potatoes seared to crisp thinness. It's hard to go wrong. Pancakes - their banana and Macadamia nut are solid choices, but the deep purple ube pancake sprinkled with coconut and covered in purple condensed milk is a fun, tasty alternative. Their coconut syrup goes great with other pancakes. French toasts - the cereal french toasts are very instagrammable and tasty. With that said, I'm a savory brunch gal so these aren't my go-tos. Other memorable and interesting dishes include the Kalbi plate, hibachi meats (reminds me of Benihana back in the day), and Kalua Pig Benedict. The food is consistent, the prices are average for Irvine, and there is a good amount of outdoor and indoor seating. You order by waiting in line by the cashier up front, take a number, and wait at your table - they'll come find you. Avoid a long wait by coming early or on a weekday off-lunch hours. A reliable staple for when you want classic brunch with an Asian flare.

Iā€™ve tried the other Stacks locations, and theyā€™ve never disappointed me. If youā€™re looking for the best omelettes and pancakes, then this is the place to go. I ordered the vegetarian crepe and hot chocolate, and both were amazing! So is everything else on their menu :)

I have been to this place thrice and I really enjoyed the brunch. They serve tropical flavor pancakes and french toast which I really like and some of the flavors I never tried before in other places like Guava Toffee Pancakes and Pineapple Coconut Pancakes. Every time I tried different items, my most favorite items are their signature Macadamia Nut Pancakes and Macadamia Nut French Toast, simply the best. If you are here first I would definitely suggest their signature items.

Tried this place while I was out of town and it was super busy. The lines were outside the door due to the holiday season. The banana Nutella French toast was great. The egg Benedict was okay. We also had cappuccino and vanilla latte which were delicious. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Customer service was great.

We came at 10am on a Sunday and it was quite busy already. I reserved a table outside while my husband ordered. That took about 15 minutes then once he sat down it took about another 15 minutes for the food to come so not too bad. He ordered the Denver omlette while i got the Nutella Banana French Toast with two eggs on the side. Overall the food was great. The omlette came with some green sauce that wasnā€™t too spicy but very flavorful. The Nutella Banana toast certainly filled my sweet tooth craving no syrup needed lol. We didnā€™t know the drinks are prepared pretty much after you order but an employee was nice enough to grab them for us. Overall I definitely recommend but if you come after 10am be prepared to wait.

Their Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict was great and very reasonably priced. There was no line and it wasn't crowded at all when I went. The staff was friendly and they got the food out pretty quick.

Visited this place for the first time. I ordered the Mac Nut Banana pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancakes tasted great! The eggs and bacon taste and presentation is not much different from any other diner, such as Denny's or Coco. You order at counter and server will bring it out to your table. The majority of customers seem to like dining outside. I noticed during my visit, a good number of customers took their orders to go. Menu prices are a bit on the high side. My breakfast with a cup of coffee was just under $20. Obviously, the pancakes are their specialty, so if you are craving that you might want to give this place a try.

Was looking for a nice little breakfast place after getting into town. Sounded great. Got there and noticed it was Hawaiian style breakfast. Being from the aina this is greatly appreciated and all the flavours were on point. Corned beef hash is generally my go to breakfast, and I was happily greeted by the style of my home. Will definitely return.

Ooooohhhweeeee! Fantastic breakfast. Got there about 11:30 and the line was out the door til we left around 1pm. Food was super good. I got the Mac'nut Banana pancakes with sausage and eggs. The sausage may be the best I've ever had! My wife had the Oreo pancakes with chicken fried steak and eggs. All was amazing and we'll definitely be back when we're in The OC.

The food was delicious, especially if you're looking for something a little different from typical American breakfast. (Which you can still enjoy there) This place has Hawaiian options, including the Spam. The indoor area was packed, and the line was long, but they were actually pretty fast, and there was plenty of seating space outside. I only wonder what happens on rainy days.

Wanted to find a nice breakfast/brunch restaurant and my gal pal suggested this place since it is Hawaiian. It is at the corner of the Walnut Village Center on Culver & Walnut, not hard to find during the day but it isn't very visible in the plaza. Parking can be tricky but manageable during busy hours (weekend late breakfast time) since it shares the same parking lot with other stores close by. We ordered the strawberry banana Nutella crepe, Chicken katsu, and musubi (Japanese spam); for drinks - Latte & Lilikoi Passion (fruit juice drink). Crepe was wonderfully presented and the sweetness of the banana and nutella complemented the taste of strawberry well. Chicken katsu was crispy and well done, coupled with 2 eggs on top making a delicious meal. The musubi is also nicely presented and extremely tasty (yes spam is unhealthy but everything in moderation, right?). The latte is very good, and Lilikoi Passion is also flavorful! Since it was during rush hour the waiters/waitresses were very busy. However I'd especially like to recommend Antonia, our waitress. Since this is more like a sit-down-DIY restaurant there isn't much service except bringing the food and drinks to our table according to our order number. However not only did she frequently check on us and greet us with a smile, she also made sure our orders were not being missed (this do happen during busy times in certain restaurants!) She grabbed us boxes and bags without us having to ask! Because of Antonia, we will definitely come back and try more dishes. Keep up the good work Stacks Pancake House
