Nice counter serve place that feels like a dine-in place, with an excellent patio for when it's nice outside.
The food tastes genuinely fresh and homemade. My perception is that they don't microwave anything, that's how fresh it all tastes.
Will definitely be back!
Gina's Pizza is a fantastic place to get a quality pizza and even pasta. Their gnocchi is a bit softer than I'd like, but they're flavorful and really absorb the sauce they're in. The meatballs they serve are also large and fresh, in fact when I ordered it they only came out with one, apologizing that they only had the one ready and shortly came back out with a second one.
The pizza, as you would expect considering its in the name, was phenomenal as well. Changing your cheese doesn't count as a tipping which is a huge plus. Not only that but (this might depend on what you order) the pizza wasn't overly oily at all. The sun dried tomatoes were tastefully sweet and the goat cheese was superb.
Fantastic calzone! One the the best I've had. I got it with their buffalo chicken inside. The chicken alfredo with creamy marinara was also great.
The outdoor seating was comfortable and stylish. The staff was kind and helpful.
I don't even live in Irvine but since I first visited almost 4 years ago I made the right choice by trying Gina's. Now I make it a priority to go here every time I'm in town a couple of times a year. Obviously they are known for their pizza but don't sleep on the salads and calzones. Top notch food, up there with the very best that I've ever had. Great bar with the best craft beers on tap. If there's anything better than the food, it's the service. Kay, Ryan and the rest of the staff are really awesome. Everyone is attentive, friendly, smiling; providing a perfect atmosphere for any occasion. The hype is real
A great place to stop for a slice or a drink and hang out. There's much more than pizza on the menu including vegan options. The outdoor seating is good for larger groups and the bar style seating is perfect for solo diners looking to get in and out quick between classes. It's comfortable and casual but parking can be difficult near campus. Bring your friends and share a pie.
Amazing service with amazing food, I loved the bigger slice of pizza, or whatever they call it, it definitely lives up to its name!!
Delicious pizza and a good beer selection. Staff was extremely friendly. Definitely coming back.
Pizza is good. Not great but bad by any means. I come here for the sandwiches. I've had the meatball, pastrami, and Italian so far. All have been great. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend giving them a try if you're on the fence. I've had A LOT of different pizzas. My advice is far from gold but I know my pies. This might be your favorite or you might enjoy the sandwiches as I do. Or both. You won't be disappointed either way.
I came to this location many times during my time at UCI and on one occasion I found a piece of a glove in my pasta. The owner apologized profusely and gave me a $5 voucher for my next visit. She also remade my food for me. It was completely unintentional and understandable. The food is amazing and the happy hour deals make it even more worth it.
We live near UCI, and this is our go to spot for yummy pizza. It is a little expensive, but we love the quality of the ingredients and the taste so we splurge sometimes. Our family has Friday Night movie night, and the kids always ask for Gina's. One large leaves a family of 3 adults and two small children full, with some to spare. We also get the garlic fries and the barbecue wings. Also a plus, if they have been great about social distancing for pickup and delivery.
Great pizza! Loved the giant slice I had, it was huge and delicious. Loved the outside seating as well. Service was great, the chef even cut my giant slice up into smaller pieces for me! Highly recommend!
Probably the best pizza I have ever had. I'm usually one for thin crust, BUT these pizzas are SO FLUFFY IT's CRAZY. Bought the personal pizza, I actually felt like they put too much toppings, a great problem to have.
The one slice is also very filling. Delicious. May be a wait if busy though
The pizza is amazing, I would give it a 5 stars but most of the younger staff are kind of rude. They are a bunch of 20yo and they really don’t know how to treat people. They hang up before you finish your order, they take forever to come serve you, etc. There is this older manager (i forgot her name) and she is the nicest person in the restaurant. She is the only member of the staff that is always kind.
Recommended by my doughtier, smells good. Nice place.
We love this place and go there a lot. Food and atmosphere are very good. My one complaint is that we make the same unfulfilled request every time we go in. That is, please bring the food altogether. We make the request because what our kids get and what we get takes different time to prepare. Inevitably, kid's food comes before the rest. They either wait and their food gets cold, or they eat and are gone when our food comes. If not for this consistent challenge, I'd probably be giving 5 stars.
Gina's Pizza was the best pizza I've had in a long time. Delivery was right on time; 45 minutes. It was exactly the way I like it, a lot of cheese, sauce, oil, toppings from end to end with perfect crust thickness to round off a delicious pizza! You sold me!
