Overall, this place was decent. The food was solid but not overly spectacular. The burrito I had was a bit dry on the inside, and I had to add some salsa and sour cream to wake it up a bit. But other than that, the flavors we're. The restaurant has a nice Mexican cantina type atmosphere, which is very inviting, and the staff is friendly.
I tried the burrito wet style, which is basically like a burrito that got caught in the rain and forgot to bring an umbrella. But don't worry, the al pastor meat inside was still juicy and flavorful, so it was worth getting a little wet.
I sat by the bar, which was a great decision because I could watch the bartenders putting order in the computer, while I ate my burrito. The chips and salsa used to be really good, but I guess they've fallen on hard times. Maybe they got a new salsa recipe that's a little too experimental, like they added ghost pepper or unicorn tears. Who knows? But it's still free, so I'm not complaining too much.
The staff was super friendly, which is always a plus. It's like they're being paid to be nice or something. And the food prep time was relatively fast, if you're looking for a delicious, filling meal that won't break the bank, Super Mex is the answer to your prayers.
Love this spot! I had the fajitas and I was really surprised at how flavorful and tender the chicken, shrimp and beef was. The Evans and rice were spot on and the hot tortilla chips with salsa they brought out were great too. Will be back.

Super Mex isn’t just a meal; it's a rite of passage. Order the #7, and you’re in the club—the salsa addicts club, that is. It's so insanely good, the couple next to us might just elope with a jar of it. The salsa has more kick than a mule with a grudge and is more habit-forming than a telenovela plot twist. Each dish rolls out like a red carpet for your taste buds, without the A-lister price tag. It's the kind of place where your stomach will thank you, and your tortilla chip will never want to dive into another salsa again.
The carnitas taco a la carte is delicious! This place was recommended to me and I stopped by for lunch today. It was really, really good! I also ordered a fajita bowl (which I don't think is on the menu but was also recommended) and I got it with chicken. It was also really good with green rice and fajita-style veggies. But the carnitas taco was amazing! I wanted to save some for my husband to try but it didn't make it home! :P
The service was good. My Cadillac Margaritas was very weak it looked and taste like water. I share a burrito with a friend even that it was a wet burrito it didn't have much taste. The salsa was not spicy at all. As a Mexican I was disappointed 😞
Family-friendly neighborhood Mexican restaurant with consistently good food and great prices. Service always friendly and fast. Cheers!
Local mexican food, good quality, affordable, large outdoor dining area (great for kids and during covid). Servers are all nice people. I got 2 entree plate (fish taco and chicken enchilada) for just $15. Thats a deal!
We have been here 3 times in the last week. That is how good it is. Extremely authentic food, great pricing and great service. So far we have had nothing bad here!
I've been here many times, and my folks literally come here once per week consistently. The food is great, consistent, affordable, etc. The salsa is homemade, the chips are freshly prepped full corn tortillas that you break apart as you eat them. The staff is awesome, the food prep time is relatively fast....solid all the way around. It's great Tex Mex, not poshy, not some strange fusion place, but good solid dining! Definitely recommend :)
I've been going to Super Mex for years and it is still one of my favorite places to go for authentic Mexican food. It is not one of those fancy boutique type restaurants and they serve up quality food at good prices. If you order one of their meals, you will not leave hungry.
Meals always start with an endless supply of crispy fried corn tortillas and the perfect blend of salsa. Be careful because its so addicting that you can easily fill up before your meal is served. This is the perfect time to enjoy your favorite drink.
The favorites here, are just about any burrito on the menu. I've tried most of them and they are all good. The Super Mex Burrito is especially good, and comes with your choice of meat. It is a very big burrito and about half of it usually comes home with me in a box. The combination plates are great if you want to try a mix of entrees. I love the enchiladas and crispy tacos.
Service at Super Mex is typically great and the staff is nice and personable.
Just pure satisfaction with food, good service and overall good feeling.
Could let your rice cook for a minute longer though. Not that hard, really.
I picked up an order here to go while on my lunch break at work they were fast efficient and the food was delicious I got back to work in time and enjoyed a very healthy portion of delicious Mexican food. The beef and the tacos was a little tough I think next time I'll get chicken but other than that perfect. Friendly people at the restaurant would highly suggest to others to go here for casual dining
EXCELLENT FOOD! Excellent SERVICE! The first time I ordered was with Grub Hub—I got cocido—delicious! Quickly, that became my “go-to” meal, working long hours, getting food delivered. Well, finally came to the restaurant! I forgot my first service name, but he was really great. Now, the last several times I have been to the restaurant Juan Prado has serviced me. WOW, he treats me like VIP, refills on salsa, fresh chips—even without asking—he just sees empty salsa and no more chips: “refill” hot chips, salsa. Really adds that special touch of customer service. The food promptly served and it’s always good. Even when I’m finished eating and ask for to-go container, he always reminds me: no rush. Truly, this restaurant has become one of my favs when I want good comfort food and don’t want to be rushed! Thank you for top notch service! Juan Prodo is an asset to your restaurant. When people come to eat, they are not just wanting good food—the excellent service, the ambiance, it’s the experience—and Juan definitely creates that VIP experience.
Been going here for years. Always good food. Nice service too.
